I was thinking of buying and getting the wine the week of the party, but, whenever would be fine, I'm sure.
Yes, we will be there Fri 6-7pm. Maybe earlier, but long enough for the QC of at least one bottle. We could really surprise them if more of us show up. Probably need to buy one of the tins of dark choc to go along with the beverage -- sooo good together.

Okay..it's an obvious entrance? Is it called Circle...J? or is it QC...not sure what that means. Is this a public place, or will I get funny looks as I bust into a private party? LOL. Whew, I seem like high maintenance there for a minute!
I am putting in for a day off, it's a little iffy as we are starting military missions (troop movements) to
"you know where" and might be short staffed. Sometimes they just give us 3 day notice, so we are always scrambling.

Wish we could join you on Friday for the Quality Control party! However, if you have room for two more at the "swap" in October, Robert and I would love to come. He's excited about a RU without plants, but with good company, scrumptious food, and wine-tasting to boot. We'll bring wine and cheese and something for the meal. Just tell me what's still needed. This sounds like a party not to be missed!

Oh - wow - I've just been catching up with everyone - I'd love to join the QC tasting team! However, this weekend is the Rice/Texas Tech game - DH went to Rice and DS goes to Tech. He is making the trek with his GF all the way from Lubbock and we'll be enjoying a rare visit - and a second meeting of his new GF! If you would, taste some of the whites for me - I like the dry kind, like Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio - let me know when I need to make decisions! I also love Cab, Merlot... can you tell I like wine?
Bubba - if you go another Friday later on, I'd love to meet you and whoever else can go.

Thanks, everybody, we are both looking forward to meeting all of you in October. I'm not even going to think about the traffic! Houston traffic scared me years ago when I was not old. We live in a town with two traffic lights and have traffic jams only during opening week-end of deer season.

DH is doing better every day. In fact, when I got home last night, he had completely rearranged all the furniture in DMIL's bedroom! It looks really great! And since he was already asleep, I couldn't chew him out for doing all that strenuous work right after a stroke!!

Hi Crowelli - we won't be there Friday evening, but I'll work on him about the 20th. I know he'd love to see you both again. He's talking with his golfing buddies about taking a weekend golf trip and that wkend is one of the possibilities. They do this once a year.

I'm so glad you mentioned chocolate with wine, my DH has always thought I was nuts because I like dark chocolate with red wine. Maybe it's a Texan Thang!

I think I can talk DW into going the 21st, too. Actually I can't remember her ever saying no to going -- oh, yea, the morning of the jalapeno wine release - she can't see waiting a couple of hours for the doors to open, but the entire run sells out in 30 minutes, so be there early or go without. (I got mine) yippee!!
At this point, we might should be calling this our hurricane party. What do ya'll think?
