He couldn't possibly be bored! ...Hmmm... maybe he was up all night smelling the garden scents, listening to the cicadas and crickets...?? Heck, I don't know! He sure is a love!

Beautiful gardens!!

Hi tamberlin! Didn't know you had started this or we would of been here sooner. Andrew is very handsome even when he's bored.

Anyone ever seen this little beauty before?

Andrew is beautiful.

Carnation "Fenbow Nutmeg Clove". Been waiting for this one since starting from seed in early March. Only one of 20 plants has a flower stalk on it and this bud opened today. It does smell of cloves. The nutmeg, we'll see.

Very pretty, David...I love carnations. This one has a lovely coloration!

Beautiful carnation, David. Pixie, those are great looking blues. My DD, Anna, just received a couple of phlox yesterday for her birthday. We will plant them tomorrow. AND, I have to look them up in the Plant Files, after I go outside and read the doggone tags again for the fifth time, trying to remember what I read long enough to get back into the house and onto the computer.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Candyce - What color phlox did Anna receive? I keep thinking that my hot pink one will self sow, but it always has just the one pretty bloom. It may be choked a bit by the marjoram that tend to take over my friendship garden (made up of plants that were all gifts). I bought a new white (David) phlox this year and it is doing nicely. What lovely, old-fashioned flowers!

Louise:

Anna got a really pretty dark magenta one, and one that's a pale pink. The pale pink one has variegated yellow and lime green leaves that I think will be absolutely stunning.

I'll let you all know tomorrow when I take a piece of paper out there to actually copy down the names. She and I just love phlox ... (and irises, and roses, and pinks, and columbine, and so on and so on ...)

Whitehall, PA(Zone 6a)

I'm glad you all like that zinnia back on #9. :-) Tamberlin it looks like you have some lovely gardens!
Pixie, your first blue flower is definitely Nigella (or as Kim said, Love in a mist). Does your second one look like mine below? If so, it's Centaurea cyanus. Now, I am really interested to know what that 3rd blue flower you posted is so I can get it for next year!

Tamberlin I love your garden pics. A very peaceful setting.

Pix those are great blues and I would love to know what that last one is too.

David congratulations on your beautiful carnation bloom. I can't get them to stay in my garden for some reason.I hope you have better luck, you look to be off to a great start.

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Al, I am waiting for Dutch Explosion, Lilac Time, Thomas Edison, Kevin Floodlight to open.... plus one other my neighboor gave me...

do you think it could be another one, just a bit darker color??? maybe because this one gets less sun than the other one????

how often do you water your dahlias... I water mine everyday if is hot and like today it rained so tomorrow I may not do it... but it all depends if they look thristy!!!!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Beautiful dahlias Al and Kass. I like your dog, too Al.

I took these photos last week and never got to post them.

This is a weigela, I think. Aren't they supposed to bloom in the spring?

Hoya carnosa is blooming. There must be ten umbels on it. I thought it was supposed to smell intoxicating... so far, none of my hoyas blooms have any smell at all! Bummer.
