I love your night shots Victor - very cool. Water droplets are neat as well. Andy was doing alot with them. Here's a Gazania from today - I think they are neat just prior to opening.
What's blooming today? #9
Those quilled petals are very photographic.
Thanks all. ngam, the color on that Marlowe is gorgeous. Anita, I agree with Pirl.

How beautiful! What is the name of that delphinium?
Very nice Allison. Love that two-toned Delph.
Allison - loved your slideshow! I too like the delph, but I also liked that mum and your glad. Very nice all the way around!
Ngam - also love your roses and that pretty echinacea. I'll keep my eye out for that one. How tall does it grow?
Victor - those photos with the droplets were stunning! How did you get the drops to look like that???
Kim - "A gold chain" is certainly not the same as a bunch of heavy gold chains all at once....."not that there is anything wrong with it"....Ha! Your hubby sounds like a keeper!! Just couldn't let Victor get away with his macho comment.........I take the blame and am sorry we got so off track!! :)
Oh, Dear! While I was "Threading", I noticed the first sign that summer here is almost over......The little bees (not honey or bumbles) have started taking over the hummer feeder. Ick.....once they chase away the hummers, that is the beginning of the end of summer. I'M NOT READY!! Thankfully, there are still a lot of flowers around for the hummers, and you'd never know summer is on the wane from looking around here. I think the bee problem is early this year.
I enjoy watching the bees and get transfixed with them as they move around flowers. Still a nice photo, Al.
Nice pics of your trip, Al. That portulaca field is so amazing!
Kim and Al - I also love watching the bees do their thing....especially the big guys! Aren't they amazing?! I also love the sounds they make. Nice photos!
I truly love watching the Bees too Louise :)
AL....LOVE that Portulaca shot :)
Saw a Hummingbird Moth again today....just the cutest little things and of course it went right for what few blossoms are left on the Red Bee Balm. Between watching the hummingbirds and watching the hummingbird moths with that plant, I will NEVER be without it again and plan to move the offshoots EVERYWHERE I can. Love it!
Great shots, Al.
Nice Peppers Al. Has the makings of a great stir-fry.
I love the mass plantings too.
nice shots al.... my honey will love the peppers!
Thanks everyone. Kind of slow flowerwise here anyway.
Love all of the blooms. ngam - After Midnight is a beautiful color and on my list. You should post that on the Coneflower Forum. Eleanor
I don't wear my rings either - can't stand them on my fingers and a long, long story involving my not so nice M-I-L!! My daughter had to go to the ER to get hers cut off when her finger swelled while at work!! She won't wear rings again either after that!!
I just saw three deer in my backyard!! My poor blooms - bugs (JB), woodchucks, and now deer!! Eleanor
ps - I chased them away!!
Eleanor - Just as I was reading your post about the deer, a mom and 2 babies came into our upper meadow. They have been pretty thoughtful - unlike the JBs - about feeding on the stuff in the grasses up there instead of coming into my garden. My apples are pesty, so I've decided they can join the squirrels by helping themselves to them this year. The babies still have their spots and are so cute.........
This is the time of year when the females and fawns start coming out of the woods. I see the bucks all year but now all of them will be out looking to load up for winter. Another sign fall is closer than in appears in the rear view mirror. :)
Onewish love that delph. I have it here too,new this year it is on the second round of blooms. Hope it comes back again.
Kim and Al those bee shots are great. They do seem to be working very hard around here too.
Al your road trip looks like it was very nice. Wonderful pics, looks like it was fun. Thanks for giving us a peek.
We don't usually have to many deer around here. Each year we see one or two passing through and I hope this group just keeps on going. Eleanor
Great pictures everyone.
Kassia, Please don't give up your enthusiasm! It is wonderful! I had no idea Victor was your nephew. Didn't know he was little either. In his photos, he always looks normal sized, but I guess it's perspective.
Kim, Any luck with your cat? I'll be up there soon.
Celeste,
That Triple Treasure is beautiful but I am IN LOVE with the statue behind it. What an awesome piece!!!!
Nice Pixie! You downloaded those pics quickly too. What do you have for internet??
