I think this is an annual that I planted in the window box on the ground. I didn't take a picture of the foliage because it was laying on the ground just a crying for water :( BUT I did find this cute little white flower crying...."take my picture.....quick" *lol*

Pixie, I've run out of superlatives

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

Dave - when I get to the last one I can't remember who did what either even though I'm totally awed by the flowers and pics, so i just say great pics everyone. (Unless only one person has posted!!) LOL Eleanor

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

kim the gentiana septemfida is very interesting.... different that's for sure... good luck with it

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Kim, yes I would love some seeds from your Borage. This is great, now all I have to do is keep the critters from getting the Gentiana seeds before me. :)

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Awesome! Simply awesome photos from yesterday. I noticed that my pistachio clematis opened two of its blooms yesterday, but not fully opened. I may try to go out in a few minutes and get a shot - before the rains come down.

"Landini" & "Centerfold" together.....Andy or anyone else... if you took a lily in a pot at the RU it is one of these 2.

onewish, that yellow dahlia is lovely and so cheery! Your butterfly bush looks awesome...mine is just barely surviving. I hope it does better this winter! Is your lily Stargazer or Starfighter?

Kim, those are some lovely little plants you grew from seeds.....you must be very proud. I know I would be!

I don't usually like doubles but I do own 2 or 3 and this one is my favorite as doubles go.

"Oh Sweet Pea...." anyone remember that song? I sang it to my first DGD when she was born and I would dance with her. It's no wonder she takes dancing lessons now! LOL

ngam, isn't Chicago Apache a stunning red? You can see it from across the yard.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

And a new delphinium 'Morning Lights'. I hope this one comes back next spring.

Pix, 'Coconut Lime' is new this year. Started from very little plants, 2" pot, and is growing well, even survived a monster bunny attack. This is the only bloom he didn't eat. I think I will like it, will post another pic when it fills out all the way.

I love the lavender and blue on that delphinium! It's very "soft" looking.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Pix, do you have any tall balloon flowers? Mine both single and double are of the more compact variety. The double one is new this year and seems to be very bushy in growth. The CA daylily is a really nice strong color, it is hard to photo really well. After a lot of fiddling this pic is pretty close I think. :) Is your sweetpea fragrant?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

This is "Rocky's Eye" doing it's thing. I have had a minimum of 4 blooms every day for over a week. Some days it exceeds 10 blooms and look at all the buds I have to go. This plant has to be one of the best bloomers I own. This plant is 3 or 4 years old.

Sweet Pea's are very fragrant and so dainty. I just love them!!
I'm not sure what these really are but I have always referred to them as my "Tall Bell Flowers" not balloon flowers. I have never I.D. them to be honest...they were given to me from my brothers yard.

BTW...these are on the side of the house that only gets morning light...it's gone by 11 am.

Wow - Celeste, that Landini combo is stunning! Actually that sounds like a sandwich order - "Yo, gimme a Landini combo!"

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Thank you Victor...now hop down to your local deli and tell them you have a new name for a sub. Here's another sot tho not a good one.

Once again, lovely pics everyone!
Ngam- love those double balloon flowers.
Pixie- Centerfold is absolutely gorgeous. Wow.
Al- I have been trying to decide which Helenium I want to plant next year and your photo sold me on Rubinzwerg.

Here's one for the "true" blue lovers, Plumbago.

I went outside between the raindrops to grab a shot of my much anticipated (well, to ME anyway) Pistachio Clematis.

I have no idea why it is named 'Pistachio', as it is a brilliant white with soft purple on the very tips of the flower petals and stamens. (At least I think those are stamens. If not, I am sure someone will correct me.)
