What's Blooming Today? #7
WOW! I had a lot of catching up to do. Incredible pictures!
Grammy,Loved your mallow.
Victor. That bellacampa!
Onewish: your blues!
Al, all your dahlias.
Pixie, I've run out of superlatives
Crockny, Kassia, Kim, Jan, ?boo-boo 41, and so many others I can't keep track; You all had things that amazed me but I can't remember! I gotta start taking notes.
Dave - when I get to the last one I can't remember who did what either even though I'm totally awed by the flowers and pics, so i just say great pics everyone. (Unless only one person has posted!!) LOL Eleanor
kim the gentiana septemfida is very interesting.... different that's for sure... good luck with it
Kim, yes I would love some seeds from your Borage. This is great, now all I have to do is keep the critters from getting the Gentiana seeds before me. :)
Awesome! Simply awesome photos from yesterday. I noticed that my pistachio clematis opened two of its blooms yesterday, but not fully opened. I may try to go out in a few minutes and get a shot - before the rains come down.
onewish, that yellow dahlia is lovely and so cheery! Your butterfly bush looks awesome...mine is just barely surviving. I hope it does better this winter! Is your lily Stargazer or Starfighter?
Kim, those are some lovely little plants you grew from seeds.....you must be very proud. I know I would be!
I don't usually like doubles but I do own 2 or 3 and this one is my favorite as doubles go.
"Siloam Double Classic"
I have heard so much about 'Coconut Lime' ....is it a good performer?
ngam, isn't Chicago Apache a stunning red? You can see it from across the yard.
And a new delphinium 'Morning Lights'. I hope this one comes back next spring.
Pix, 'Coconut Lime' is new this year. Started from very little plants, 2" pot, and is growing well, even survived a monster bunny attack. This is the only bloom he didn't eat. I think I will like it, will post another pic when it fills out all the way.

I love the lavender and blue on that delphinium! It's very "soft" looking.
Pix, do you have any tall balloon flowers? Mine both single and double are of the more compact variety. The double one is new this year and seems to be very bushy in growth. The CA daylily is a really nice strong color, it is hard to photo really well. After a lot of fiddling this pic is pretty close I think. :) Is your sweetpea fragrant?
Sweet Pea's are very fragrant and so dainty. I just love them!!
I'm not sure what these really are but I have always referred to them as my "Tall Bell Flowers" not balloon flowers. I have never I.D. them to be honest...they were given to me from my brothers yard.
BTW...these are on the side of the house that only gets morning light...it's gone by 11 am.

Wow - Celeste, that Landini combo is stunning! Actually that sounds like a sandwich order - "Yo, gimme a Landini combo!"
I went outside between the raindrops to grab a shot of my much anticipated (well, to ME anyway) Pistachio Clematis.
I have no idea why it is named 'Pistachio', as it is a brilliant white with soft purple on the very tips of the flower petals and stamens. (At least I think those are stamens. If not, I am sure someone will correct me.)
sorry I haven't responded earlier to all your fabulous photos - been reading Harry Potter and marking.
Onewish1 - love your lily and dahlias. does your butterfly bush have a fragrance?
kimskreations - love the photo of the borage.
ngam - love your delphiniums
pixie - do you have an overall picture of your gardens? - you seem to have sooo many beautiful flowers; it would be great to see them in the landscape.
aspenbooboo41: plumbago . . . maybe I should get some of that . . . very pretty.
oh pixie i love this shot... what a great combo http://davesgarden.com/forums/p.php?pid=3788568
