What's Blooming Today? #7
Nice BF shot Allison. Which Butterfly Bush is that?
love the lobelia... my first year having one too... so simple yet very pretty
Victor and Harper - I've tried a couple of times to attach pics of the garden sink and farmhouse that I scanned. Can't seem to get them to send. Not sure what the issue is. I'll try again soon.
Onewish - love your glads and that pretty shot of the butterfly bush with namesake. Really pretty!
Pixie - what is that pink on pink dayliliy called? I really like that one and haven't seen one like it.
Louise
Kim luv the pics, Borage is very cool changing up like that, I have Cherry Bells too and like it a lot, just have to keep an eye on it cause it can travel, but is easy to pull out. Gotta go more thunder again, seems like one rolls through every 15 min or so.
I'm looking to add Kent Belle as I'm quite sure that's Cherry Bells but need confirmation.
Theperson who sent it to me thought it was Kent Belle and would like to update her tag if it is indeed Cherry.
Well suns out again, its nuts today. I don't have Kent Belle but the one I saw was more purple than your pic. It is hard to tell from pics particularly when it comes to similar flowers. Here is a pic of my Cherry Bells, sorry it is not a close up. Mine are gone by pretty much now. Hopefully someone with Kent Bell can make an ID for you.

Kim and Ngam - I don't know that Cherry Bells at all....it looks really cool! And I also like that shepherdess rose. It reminds me of the "antique" roses in color. We have a really old, single antique rose. It didn't bloom for years until my DH put some ashes from our wood stove on it. It has bloomed faithfully since then. Here is a recent photo. It's so dainty that a close-up look does it more justice.
Oh what a lovely delicate flower Louise. A nice reward for a little attention. Don't ya just love the little miracles that happen in the garden. :)
Ngam - flowers blooming always seem like miracles to me - I'm with you!
Victor - ooooh, what a pretty astilbe! I love them. I have a pink one, but it's a lighter pink than this one. I love them in flower arrangements. Here's a vase of fleurs my DH picked from our yard this morning. He is better at arranging them than I am. There are some red astilbe in it if you look closely.
Beautiful arrangement!
Very beautiful everyone!! Eleanor
Welcome and happy birthday to Louise! (I love your screen name!)
Great shots everyone! ngam, your double balloon is great. You had a couple i'd never seen before.
Pixie, That looked like adenophora (I think also called lady bells) I had a patch that grew 7 feet high this year.
Geez, I leave for a few hours and the thread is a mile long.
No, Victor. My family moved when I was 14. The 1700s house came second. Maybe the houses were old, but I lived in them during this one life! ... well, as far as I know.
Allison, I love that red gladiola.
Louise, it's okay... I'm patient. Hope you get a digital camera one day. I love that white rose... wait. How'd you take that shot?
Harper
Do you have any photos of the farm houses, Harper? It may have to wait until Celeste starts the next thread!
Harper, love your Stargazers. mine aren't open yet. I always look forward to them.
onewish, great b'fly shots! wonder egg is fun :-)
ngam, 'the Shepherdess' is lovely. I am a big fan of the David Austin's. and the color on your lobelia is stunning.
Kim, the cherry bells are so pretty
Louise, your antique rose is sweet. glad it liked the wood ashes. tell your DH he can arrange flowers for me anytime. that's just lovely!
Victor, what a vibrant pink on that astilbe...gorgeous!
another day of lovelies in the NE
the red glad is called "atom"
Victor, do you mean the houses I grew up in? No, I don't think so.
"atom" Nice! Thanks
