All fingers crossed here, too, Betty.
This is what I did with my day.
First pic. Look closely...Hummer or not?
Best Thing/Worse Thing and What did I learn today? Part 10
Merry enjoying the grass on the other side of the fence. This little pasture area held four beds for veggies for a number of years but I've downsized and moved it inside the fenced yard.
From her smile, I'd say the grass really is greener! Though as you can see, we've been short of rain this year and it's not exactly green at the moment.
I'll close with one of my favorite columbines that is still blooming.
Best? Nice day playing in the yard.
Worst? Tomorrow's Monday :-( Back to work.
Learned? Take a day, just for yourself, guilt-free, every once in a while. It feels good.
ETA: Just noticed the tag. Sorry 'bout that. Needless to say, that tag is for the sweet william, "Origami's" (columbine) next door neighbor.

Beautiful, beautiful and beautiful..lol...would love to see your garden...adorable pets...thanks for the photo's...
Well, it's bath time, and I'll show you the community effort of children...called a few over to help, told them there would be ice-cream and pop..well just look at the photo...
Only thing, called Michelle from across the street, couldn't figure out the gazebo netting only to find out they send one incorrect piece..she'll try to see if there are more kits available tomorrow and see if she can get it replace...but all and all quite the weekend...
Up, just need final screen..maybe tomorrow...
So, we were 10 in all, $6.98 for pop and $30.43 for ice cream...but it's done..you know me..can't wait..completed the frame garden for now with shrubs and flowers but dear son was to have dropped in with truck to go pick up the table and chairs..no signs yet..getting to late tonight..maybe tomorrow....
Night all...

Thanks Betty, I do get carried away with the camera sometimes, I know.
I just knew you wouldn't let the weekend pass without seeing that gazebo up.
Betty for President (I know, I know. But why let a little thing like being Canadian stop you…certainly, nothing else does!) Campaign slogan? "She can do anything!"
Enjoy your evening and your bath. I’m thinking about one, myself.
Sleep well, all…and wonder, when you wake up, may it be to a glorious day!
Jan
tangie beautiful pictures love the doggies too
betty, i knew someone would come through happy for you
and the critic passed the ladder project made me wait all day lol
best: went to lunch with dh and sil had a nice visit
worst:nothing bad happened
learned: how to finally get my cement mix right
everyonr have awonderful evening liz
I miss a few days and look at all the adventures you have, Betty you better be taking care of yourself!
I love the ladder! Such a cute idea for a plant stand, i never would have thought of it.
Tangie I love the baby pictures...the dobie might have to come to stay at my house...
Best today was Dad & Sue got home safe and sound from Europe, although my sister reports both look worn out.
Worst I've finished reading Harry Potter...so no more books.
What I've learned that it's possible read a book and still eat, cook and pretty much do anything you have to do in a 24 hour period.
btw Wonder Happy belated Birthday, sorry I forgot to post on your Bday, I hope you have many happy ones to come.
tangiegirl....love all your flowers and the house is beautiful....but i especially like
Barley and Merry!!!!
i don't get to post much here but i do check it out often and am amazed at all the talent out there. you girls are so talented. my wife has been toying with this idea after she saw a picture in a magazine so yesterday she finsihed this project. we will be hosting my FDIL's bridal shower and my wife made this to put on the table with the gifts danielle receives. this "wedding cake" is made from bath towels, dish towels and wash cloths.
it took her about a day to set it all up.
gosh franklin!!!! what a talent!! thats great!
the ladder is lovely too!
betty your house must be HUGE!!!! its wonderful.... more pics of you homes inside and out! I love it!
best? had a great weekend with my youngest DD and her boyfriend. they took me out for dinner for my birthday as all my plans fell through and i ended up doing nothing.. i was so upset. anyway it was a great little italian place owned by three generations of the same family and the food was great! then went for a walk on the beach in the freezing cold!
worst... coming back to work after 10 days off to find that a full time position had been advertised and given to a girl who had only ever worked in KFC (no offense) but i have a years experience and they knew i wanted full time! grrrrrrr
have a great day.....
That is totally amazing - what a creative lady you're married to, Frank!
Betty, I knew you would figure something out!! Great job. I put a lawn swing together by myself three years ago - DH was impressed (and embarrassed because he had said he didn't want to bother with it when it was so hot outside - and sat in the house while I worked on it in 90 degree weather!). If I waited for someone to help me, most things would never get done. This year I put together a wood obelisk, an arbor, and a portable greenhouse (small). I still have a chintzy compost bin to put together. Your outdoor frame is amazing.
Tangie, are those Hummingbird Moths? Amazing little creatures - great photos! And truly beautiful flowers.
Sharon, incredible job on the chair!
And, Starzz, what a super idea for those corner pieces - beautiful work.
Okay, for me today,
Best thing: it didn't rain for my friend's outdoor wedding.
Worst thing: the bride had a bit of an emotional meltdown and the ceremony took place 90 minutes late! (she's a very fragile lady with a lot of leftover emotional baggage from childhood - I have a huge soft spot in my heart for her).
What I learned: Sometimes lovely things are worth waiting for, as the very obvious, deep love between these two made everyone forget they'd had to wait so long.
Liz, how could I forget that darling ladder? I love it!
And Wonder, I also missed telling you how much I like that darling birdhouse - can't wait to see the finished product. And I also missed wishing you a happy birthday - so I am doing so belatedly! And I hope things are looking up for you financially . . . boy, have I been there more than once!!
If I missed anyone else, I apologize. I'm up way past my bedtime and need to get some rest!
thanks 'M'...
havnt had a chance to do any more just yet but will do soon, going to embark on a writng desk soon, just need to decide on a base coat for it.
x

Herbie, you tell that wife of yours that her craft project for the shower get's an A+...hope you didn't overdue at work and you are still resting..takes awhile you know...

What are you thinking with regards to the desk?
