What's blooming today # 2
Pixie - I like the iris and of course if I have to look at Elegant Lady again I will be expecting one in the mail ;)
Candy - your bed looks pretty good so far.
Dawn - looks nice - what is the viny tall one?
Dave - well Dave, your photo confuses me - is it upside down?
Al - at first I thought you were teasing Dave but when I scrolled to see the photo again it really is upside down. But then we know Dave isn't well. Hasn't been for months now.
Dave's shot looks sideways, not upside-down.
Victor, are you familar with a clematis called "John Paul II" ?
No Celeste, but I Googled it and it's very pretty! Do you have it?
Hey Al. Thanks! The tall viney one is a black eyed susan vine on a trellis. I had thought they only grew yellow, but apparently there are a few different varieities. These are a lovely shade of dark peach.

Victor, I don't have it but have a chance to buy it for $9.99 and was thinking on it. I really like the two tones of pink.
Didn't you turn the camera sideways to get a 'taller' shot?? Hard to believe the camera would time-stamp on the side.
Did you also tell the camera to focus on the leaves and not the flowers?
Aren't we the photography snob, Al?!! Dave is ill (again) so maybe he's having trouble focusing.
Yes yes, quite. If I can't make fun of other people than who can I make fun of.
All seriousness aside, Al have you had the 'newer' Echincaea varieties - Sunset, Twilight, etc., long enough to know if they re-seed themselves as much as the older varieties and the species do?? Also, regarding another recent post you made, my 'Kim's Knee High' have in fact 'grown up', and are the same size as the regular ones now. Very disappointing. I had planned on cutting some back this year as an experiment but did not get the chance and it's too late now.
Nice Victor. I am obliged to ask about the marker on the first one - did you make it?
I did try seeding a few of the newer ones - Pixie Meadowbright and White Primadonna just for curiousity. They have germinated, but offhand I will say that they won't be 100% true. I keep forgetting I have Twilight - I got it last year as a replacement and it didn't flower.
No I ordered a bunch a few years back for my collection of Daylilies. I have since added many more and always forget who they are so I should get more (from Oakes). My landscape guys / butchers, always mess them up while during the Fall cleanups.
Yes that is cool.
I like.... very nice boys!
By the way Al - don't pick on Dave...remember how long it took us to even get him to post pictures at all???
6 month old pictures. He's the new cyberDave now!
I don't recall seeing Dave as a six-month old.
Oh sure - he was an elf. Don't ask where that pic is - it's in here somewhere.
Was he feeling well then?? Maybe colic?
Beautiful, Andy. The first one is always such a pleasure.
It's very nice Andy. More importantly - it's your baby!
I hope you used protection Andy. That's cool you had success.
Victor - Green Wizard?
Darn, I forgot to wear gloves. Should I get a prescription?
victor, I almost bought Jolelene Nicole. i may just do it anyway. yours is gorgeous.
Martha
Thanks Martha.
