Nice jab Victor
Sunday June 24 RU...
oh you guys.... I can't wait for Sunday....
I am trully praying for great weather... and today for the first time in my entire life I used a lawn mower... I loved it!!!!!! for the first time since I started gardening I finally felt that this is MY GARDEN... and goodness gracious I have tons of grass... it was so very cool!!!!! and I got a nice tan!!!! lol!!!!
and I am so very excited because tons of roses will be opening for next week.... oh all the orange ones will be open... and some purple and maybe some David Austin.... right now some rugosas are just amazing.... I am so happy.... other few things are also blooming, and even flowers on the tomatoes!!!!!!! no more strawberries... lots of mistery plants .... I planted seeds and forgot to label them!!!! go figure!
Anyway ...
Debi I will start the thread and ask Dave to make it a sticky.... can I call you? since you have experience on RU I want to pick your brain!!!! I have some ideas....
and I will have fun..but yes, I am going to stress out a little. I am delegating some work already to my family!!!! they know that I am the one that loves to talk.... I am going to make it easier for us... one table for food, one for drinks, and one for plants.... just by you guys bringing the lawn chairs are a big huge help...
Dave are you bringing the official banner??? I hope so... really nice!
Chuck you should have stopped... was I in the garden???? the beds are new... my white elephant gift to myself... not so great but ok for now! and every time I go to Rivers edge I spend money... no way to leave without a plant!!!! my problem is that I don't know what to get next!
Victor and Al I think you guys should scape and come... it will not be same without you guys... lol... I can just imagine the fun we will have this coming fall when we all get together in CT... and this time you both better be there!!!!
I have a friend coming over on saturday to help me weed... and yes I am self conscious of my garden... I have made several mistakes planting... not so great looking! but hey, you guys can all help fix it!!!!!! lol...have mercy!!!!
Carrie, I got a dmail from Kerri... I have never met her on DG... well actually several people are new to me!!!!! really fun!
did I forget anyone??? ok,,,, here is a picture of what you guys are going to see!!!! I am so happy is open and has 3 more flowers to open!!!!
Pirl and Al (it's dark- I finally came in from logging my 14-hr gardening days) can either of you come to the NE RU???? C'mon...
but my parole officer said I get extra credit for going to this one last weekend.

It would be great to meet you guys, but alas....
Kass - I hate to tell you, but you've tapped into one of my pet peeves. You can delete the old edited messages on your first post as you edit them - it helps me sleep better having them cleaned up.
Wow, sounds more and more like this Roundup will be a blast. I can't wait. I've been potting up more plants the past couple of days to bring for trading. Kass, if you start a thread to list plants we're bringing, I will list what I have to bring. I can't bring a lot. I only have just so much trunk space in my little Ford Focus.
As for plants I want, I would like anything I don't have that strikes my fancy. Always looking for new stuff. Big into collecting, and always putting in new beds. And I thought it was work keeping up all the existing beds! I just keep making more work for myself. Well, I wouldn't do it if I didn't like it.
Funny you getting all excited about mowing your lawn. I happen to resent all the time it takes to get it done, as there are so many other things that need doing (endless weed pulling, for instance). I keep reminding myself that mowing is great excercise. I don't need a gym with all that!
Debi_z, so great to hear you're coming. I had so much fun at your Roundup last year. I look forward to seeing you again, and perhaps some of the others from last year, as well as meeting new friends.
Karen
oh yes, the 24th. thank you marie.
kassia, i'll d mail you with my #.

Is boojum coming?
Would love to come but we will be celebrating end of second grade in Nantucket otherwise I hope to be invited in the fall. This is truly a bummer since I live in Needham only minutes away from Framingham. Oh well.
Have fun gang! You all seem to know each other. I would be a newcomber to the group.
Susan Opton
Hi Susan! We don't allow anyone to be a newcomer for long. Hope to see you in the fall.
Dave
Yes, welcome Susan. Hope to meet you on the Fall. My son also will be finishing second grade this Friday. I thought your name was 'Option' at first glance!
Victor
I will agree with the others that this is not some private club - I'm not even sure if I live in the Northeast.
Al you better come! I will fix the edit thing.... thanks ! I want you to sleep better!!!!
Al, if you can't make it, we can always Photoshop you in the photo!
Kass - I'm well rested now.
Melissa - You might as well give me blonde curly locks while you're at it.
I used to actually have them!
They're still in your baby book!
How sweet! Your oldest son seems to resemble you a lot!
Thanks Pirl. As babies, they both did. Now my older one does more but not real closely. He has straight medium brown hair and medium brown eyes. I had blond curly hair and (still have!) green eyes.
My gosh, Victor - you look positively angelic as a baby . . . what happened? You're such a rascal now!
oh Victor you look so cute!!!! and so inocent and hairy!!!
My husband explains it better than I but green eyes (I have them, too) are brown in genetics.
Wow! You'd be even better looking without the distracting hair. What a smile! You've been holding out on us, Victor - aka Handsome Hunk!
Kassia,
I'm sorry that I won't be able to come to your RoundUp, but I know that it will be great. I'm looking forward to the pictures.
Victor,
So nice to "see" you. Your baby picture is so sweet. I have a sister your age--it reminds me of a picture of her with my mother taken around the same time.
Victor - You could have had your own boy band 10 years before the rest I would say, did you have mad skills.
What are mad skills?
'bout time you release those evil spirits.
Mad skills=dancing,singing, drawing Ligres.LOL
Oh - thanks. what's "drawing Ligres." sorry . . . I am a 'cultural dope' when it comes to NE America.
I've lived here all my life and don't know a Ligre. Libran Tiger? Dr. Suess?
Ask Napleon Dynamite!
Who is Napleon Dynamite?
I figured someone had to get that one - good job GG, you gonna eat your tots?
Tots as in children?
Baby & boy band Victor! Very cute!
I make 3 with a child finishing 2nd grade.
3 for 3 in second grade 'graduations'! Guess we're doing okay.
Handsome hunk #2 of this thread - the Liger!
