Very nice Celeste - you're up to speed up there!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Yes Victor, I think im finally catching up!

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Nice pix Pix. I like the poppy and darker iris. I think everyone has that Golden Tiara hosta - what a shrimp.

Dave - I would think cooler and keep the perlite moisture and check it a few times over the winter if you can - I don't ask for much do I :)

I have another closeup of my allium

this iris is in the shade so it's the last to flower - it's the varigated one

Lysimachia 'Alexander' is a new plant for me - I do hope it behaves.

Al, I love the varigated foliage on both of those plants!

Pay close attention Al. I had a variegated Lysimachia (described as 'not the garden thug its cousin is') that reverted and went nuts. It's now three years later and it's still all over and still spreading. Gonna have to resort to chemical warfare (with paintbrush) in the Fall.

I planted this lily in a pot at the end of Feb. When it got warm enough I stuck it outside during the day, but the sun burned the tips a bit. What's most unusual about this lily is how it changes color from day to day. The picture on the left is day one, then it goes in order on the right (day #2, #3 ect) until the picture at the bottom is the last one taken yesterday.

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

I loaded a few pictures, that now are not showing...I'll wait a bit to see if they suddenly show rather that have duplications

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Nice Anita

Pixie - brasillia is very nice

Victor - I like the clematis and waterlily, the palmatum pic is great. If my lysimachia reverts then it's a goner.

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

Very nice Anita. You're ahead of me with the mater blooms. Probably about one week. Beautiful Iris.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Nice iris Anita and of course I love blue. I just seeded tomatoes a couple weeks ago, last years seedlings I pull out everywhere.

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

thanks Victor. By the way, I'm lovin the idea of a clethra in my yard...I think I have a good spot for one too. Where did you purchase yours from? I'm checking out Lazys S Farm.

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

I'll save some seed from the borage for you if you like Al

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Very nice Anita! I can't wait for fresh tomatoes, the first ones always taste best.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Strawberry season here.

Anita - that would be swell - or is it peachy keen ;)

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks pixie

Very nice Anita!

Pixie, I like the iris with the 'watercolors' in it. pretty poppy, too. I'm jealous that you have your grandmother's iris. so many favorite flowers that I remember from my great-grandmothers' gardens, but I wasn't there when either house was sold. I'll have to make do with memories.

I didn't use my flash on those pics, because it washes out the color. I always try a couple of different settings to see what works best. It's the red in the purples that gets lost.

thanks Dave

Anita - Fairweather Gardens usually has Clethra.

Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

What beautiful flowers everyone! Such a nice way to start the day. The pink ones are my favorites--your Brasilia lily is so pretty, Pixie. Victor, are the open serotina flowers the same color as the buds?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Loretta - white and magenta, more or less.

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

Woke up this morning and realized we didn't get any of the severe weather that was headed this way - hope it still isn't coming. We were supposed to get heavy rains, wind and possibly hail. I'm not complaining - I'm jumping for joy. I just got my containers tidied up after the last bout of strorms.
This thread is getting too long so I'm going to start page 2.
