Gardening By The Yard with Paul James

Nipomo, CA(Zone 8a)

Good evening everyone.. I just popped in on this thread, started at the top and skimmed down, Paul James is very informative, informal I love his show. Has anyone mentioned how easy his is to look at yet? He is one handsome man that could come work in my garden any day, cheesy cameraman and all!

LOL! I have noticed but figured it was just me.

And his knees ain't half bad either. :o)

Southern Mountains, GA(Zone 6b)

I like him but I'm much more interested in getting that clipping tool he demonstrated with the long handles and adjustable angle cutting blades.

West Central, WI(Zone 4a)

YEAH! Did he mention what company makes it?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Enough with the crass sexism, ladies. I am emailing and suggesting a 25 year old knockout female co-host, so there!

West Central, WI(Zone 4a)

Does it help that I think he's a little goofy lookin'? And.......I've never noticed his knees.

Deep East Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

A 25 year old knockout female co-host is o.k. as long as she knows her stuff! LOL

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

If she showed her stuff, the censors might get involved.

LOL

Knolans' DH DID call this "plant porn"... : ))

OMG...just don't see anything goodlooking about him... enjoy his knowledge of gardening though.. but "different strokes for different folks!"

DFW area, TX(Zone 7b)

A man with a great deal of knowledge about what interests
you is a very attractive thing. :o)

Southern Mountains, GA(Zone 6b)

I have to admit I don't find him particularly attractive but I do like him. he's smart, funny and and into gardening. That's plenty enough for me to tune in.

Too bad you can't email HGTV a link to this thread.

I LUV PJ...even my hub's will sit and watch him because he "recycles" his beer onto his compost pile. I'm goofy so I like it because he's goofy too.....and very informative.

P, I did email this link to them ~ who knows if they got it or even looked at it? pod

Southern Mountains, GA(Zone 6b)

Thanks Pod, good work.
HGTV, we want more Paul James and REAL gardening shows! Thanks!!!!

Deep East Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

Or how about an HTV and a GTV channel?????

Deep East Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

I would have thought all the garden magazines, tv shows, etc. would have had moles out watching for gardening trends, interests and such... even here. Who knows...

Now you know about moles.... they look for grubs and insects to devour while destroying YOUR garden!! HGTV started out with several gardening shows, then warped into what it is today, oh btw, a neighbor was able to buy their house for $40K less due to all the DIY mess the previous owners did that had to be professionally redone at the new owners request! So the old owners granted them a $40 K reduction!.. NOW that is a MOLE at work!

Springfield, OH(Zone 6a)

NNNNOOOOOOO! HGTV can't get rid of Paul James! Why I........... I'll block 'em off my TV! He's the only reason I haven't completely stopped watching HTV. But, the Gardener's Diary is back. Yeah! Think I'll send them some mail too!........P.S. Paul James has purrrrdy legs!

Lumberton, TX(Zone 8b)

GTV would be too much! You know they'd start having marathons of The Worm Whisperer or something! Now if they'd really stick to serious gardening all day, that would be fine, but they're too obsessed with ratings.

Gardening Idol?

CSI: the Yard?

LOL!

Southern Mountains, GA(Zone 6b)

Hey folks, I am watching both his shows this morning and they are both new to me and dated 2007! Both are great, helpful, funny, informative and entertaining. Let's hope his contract has been renewed and there will be lots more of his shows. Maybe they will even move them to a better time slot.
During the 8:00 show, Paul James mentioned that viewers could go to the HGTV website to find the sources for gadgets used on the show. I'm going to check it out.
