Pixie, I had DD at 19 and was glad to be a young mother. I too have the energy to run around the house pulling buzzy bee while the two year old chases behind.

Dave, turns out you were right either way - Sally is pretty young AND pretty and young. Seems like we have lots of young grandparents here! Wow, I'm 44 and my kids are 5 and 8 so I won't be in that category. Nice to still be young so you can keep up with them. I'll be chasing them in one of those Rascal things!

My husband's kids are 24, 26, 28 and 30. The oldest one has 3 kids so far, so I'm a step-grandmother and my kids are step-aunts. I had a step-mother, step-grandmother, step-father, and now a step-daughter and 3 step-sons,, a step-daughter-in-law, and three step-grandchildren. I'm 45, DH is 55. His kids never imagined having a step-mother,, so they generally call me "my dad's wife". But having had a step-grandmother myself, I'm not as surpprised to beone, When I was a kid I used to boast that I had three grandmothers and only one grandfather. I guess if two women adopt or have a baby, eventually that won't be unusual anymore. Like kids who have two mommies, their kids will have two grandmothers!

46 here, soon to be 47, kids are Nichole 29 (has 2 girls 2.5&8) Tiffany 27, Justin 26, Tarsha 24, Joshua 19. Those are my "naturals", second Mom to Jade 28, Sarah Joy 24

She was born Jan. 1st, 1999 I was 38, turned 39 in June.
pixie, you got me beat. I was a grandma at 39. my oldest granddaughter will be 18 tomorrow. you think THAT makes me feel old? nah! (oh, such a lie LOL)
A childhood friend of mine was a 'grandfather' at 32! His second wife, a few years older than him, had a granddaughter already when they married.
Hey, he cheated! I knew a guy who was so lazy he married a woman with children.
I'd rather be lazier and marry a woman with lots of money - children optional.
I'd rather just inherit the money.

edit to add: her mother always says she's exactly like me which I take as a grand compliment. love this kid to pieces. She has a scholarship for an accelerated honors program at the state college for next fall.

Cyndie, I wish. I have 2 dwarf apples and just planted a pear. No room for much else :(( I was lucky to find a lot of people who don't use their apples. We did 47 gallons of juice. I was very happy!
