Daily Musings, page 8

Yep, pretty young will do for me!! Actually, I'm almost 50 and I don't care..... yet.

Oohhh, The farther I read the more flattered I get!

Pixie, I had DD at 19 and was glad to be a young mother. I too have the energy to run around the house pulling buzzy bee while the two year old chases behind.

Here's me with a pan full of apples ready to go in the cider press.

OOOOHHHH! Two grandSONS! When you said "one nuts, one none" I took it in an entirely different way, and a way neither becoming to myself or DG. I thought the older one was a grandSON and the other a grandDAUGHTER! Sorry. But you see how I could get mixed up?

xxxxx, carrie (blushing)

Nichols, IA(Zone 5a)

ROTFL!!!!! I never thought of that!!! I was going with the commercial song. ROTFL all over again!!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Now we know who has dirty minds here!! Carrie, I thought all those x's before your name were for kisses. Now I'm not so sure!

Dave, turns out you were right either way - Sally is pretty young AND pretty and young. Seems like we have lots of young grandparents here! Wow, I'm 44 and my kids are 5 and 8 so I won't be in that category. Nice to still be young so you can keep up with them. I'll be chasing them in one of those Rascal things!

Central, ME(Zone 5a)

Hey Sally, great picture. You look so happy! So- You have an orchard, too?

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

My husband's kids are 24, 26, 28 and 30. The oldest one has 3 kids so far, so I'm a step-grandmother and my kids are step-aunts. I had a step-mother, step-grandmother, step-father, and now a step-daughter and 3 step-sons,, a step-daughter-in-law, and three step-grandchildren. I'm 45, DH is 55. His kids never imagined having a step-mother,, so they generally call me "my dad's wife". But having had a step-grandmother myself, I'm not as surpprised to beone, When I was a kid I used to boast that I had three grandmothers and only one grandfather. I guess if two women adopt or have a baby, eventually that won't be unusual anymore. Like kids who have two mommies, their kids will have two grandmothers!

Victor, those ARE kisses! You saw me blushing up there, right?

xxxxx! Carrie

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Remember Victor that I am also the 52 year old father of a very energetic 7 yr. old. You got a website for those Rascal things?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

46 here, soon to be 47, kids are Nichole 29 (has 2 girls 2.5&8) Tiffany 27, Justin 26, Tarsha 24, Joshua 19. Those are my "naturals", second Mom to Jade 28, Sarah Joy 24
And I love every minute of it! (Big Grin)

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

So you were a gram in your 30s! I think we have our young grandparent winner!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

She was born Jan. 1st, 1999 I was 38, turned 39 in June.

Wheatfield, NY(Zone 6a)

pixie, you got me beat. I was a grandma at 39. my oldest granddaughter will be 18 tomorrow. you think THAT makes me feel old? nah! (oh, such a lie LOL)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

A childhood friend of mine was a 'grandfather' at 32! His second wife, a few years older than him, had a granddaughter already when they married.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Hey, he cheated! I knew a guy who was so lazy he married a woman with children.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'd rather be lazier and marry a woman with lots of money - children optional.

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

I'd rather just inherit the money.

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

I like your idea, Sarahskeeper :-)

What beautiful children! Carrie, it must be hard to not constantly pinch those cheeks. Gram, they are lovely.

People! Now I'm blushing!!

Cyndie, I wish. I have 2 dwarf apples and just planted a pear. No room for much else :(( I was lucky to find a lot of people who don't use their apples. We did 47 gallons of juice. I was very happy!

Yep, Pixie wins the young Grandmother award!

Carrie, they are adorable!!

Grampapa, she's beautiful!! I love her dress. I can't believe how much your youngest reminds me of my DD!!! How cool is that!
