Sandy....I'm very glad that you are planning on coming to the roundup. I will put you down for everything you asked for. I think the fact that we all got to meet and spend time with your husband at the roundup last year makes this roundup very special. We all have a better connection to you and to everyone else. It is through the friends that God gives us that we heal. I hope that coming to the roundup and spending time with all of us will help you in your healing process, however long it may take.

Kim

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Sandy, I have you down for all the plants you listed. The summer snowflakes are blooming right now, so I will be sure to dig the right bulbs. After they have bloomed, they look just like the daffodils. Glad you are coming to the RU!

College Station, TX(Zone 8b)

You guys inspire me, I just planted the butterfly pea vine seeds that I received today. It's more than I'll need. I also planted some morning glory and moon vine seeds. Tomorrow I'll try to dig up some starts from my Dad's tame berry vines, and get some starts from my pink ice plants. Do you think that anyone would want to trade anything for these as well as some yellow coreopsis plants?

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Pink ice plants sounds good to me. Is that the ones that are winter root hardy?

College Station, TX(Zone 8b)

I have mine in hanging baskets. Got 2 yellow ones from Bonnies Nursery yesterday. My greenhouse was virtually ignored this last winter, and they did great.

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

I think I could use some pink ice plants Anne if you get a chance to dig some up. would you like some Mother of thyme? Or check my list above.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Got a bunch of things in the ground today....and realized there is still room to fill. Not good for my pocketbook....lol! Now time to see if the fence has any hope of keeping the dog out....

I am wondering if anyone here has any lantana? I thought I had one but apparently not. Also dug up some obedience plant if anyone is interested, I think it is a pink flower. And some other things I added to my list.

I told my mom about the the things people have offered for her new place and she was so touched. I really hope she will be able to stay around to come to the roundup. They are a little concerned about moving somewhere where they don't know anyone, it would be good for them to meet some people. And who better than DGers?

:) Kim

Meadows Place, TX(Zone 9a)

Sandy, This is the girl I know. About the beating up.........me thinks ye might enjoy too.....?????

Seeya

Kim, I'll take 1 obedience plant. Thanks!

ps:sorry to hear that you still have room.........I'm running out and digging up more grass.

Dallas, TX

Sandy I got a red and white stripe Canna ... I will try to find it.

Waco, TX(Zone 8b)

This sound like it would be fun to attend. I will have to see what I can come up with to trade.

Katy, TX(Zone 8b)

I'll probably take anything anyone wants to get rid of. You would not believe the devastation caused by the last freeze at my house. Hopefully when it gets warmer all the hibiscus that are now clumps of 12' tall brown sticks will somehow show some life. I have a lot of patience but the weeds in my front flower bed are really getting to me. They aren't big weeds - just those runner type things w/the tiny little bitty flower and those plants referred to by some as "yellow allysum that all have to be pulled by hand. A little bit each day is what I strive for and then I will put a nice thick mulch over everything and pretend there aren't 3 dead looking hibiscus there. Maybe I will just tie some ribbons on them and hang plastic Easter Eggs from them and try to convince the HOA they are egg trees. The only thing in front that is starting to look nice is that clematis and a tiny Confederate Jasmine plus some Wax Leaf Begonias that survived under the devastation. The white sweet allysum I broadcast last fall is looking good and blooming well. The strange thing is that the non bearing avocados barely got touched by all the cold weather. So bring lots of stuff that will fill in and somehow I will repay all of you. I'm sure all the neighbors are disgusted that our yard looks so devastated while all their greenery (that I hate) looks nice and neat and green.

Ann

Dallas, TX

Ann you ar funny ... I will see what I have.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Kipper....got you down for the obedience plant. Ann.....I've got quite a few things listed....let me know what you'd like and I'll get your name on them.

:) Kim

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Kim,

Bring all the obedience you have for kipper. We will need him to stay in line at the RU. OH DARN it is a plant isn't it??? Too bad. Maybe if we rub some on his arms it will pass on it.s obedience.

LOL ;O)

Katy, TX(Zone 8b)

All y'all are too kind.

Ann

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Can you root rosemary from cuttings? I have some I need to cut back. It's about 3 1/2 feet tall.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

From what I have heard this is the best way to propagate rosemary but I've never tried it.

Kim

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Ok, well I'll give it a try. Anybody want some rosemary?

Meadows Place, TX(Zone 9a)

Remember, Sandy.

Thanks so much Sylvia!

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

I am adding onions/chives to my list. These are the kind you just cut the leaves off of. You don't dig them up to eat them. Also angelita daisies.

Nevada, TX(Zone 8a)

Sandy, nice to see you posting, looking forward to meeting you.

I have you down for esperanza and white crinum. I do not have any summer nocturne left, but I have crinum 'Maidens Blush.' I also have a pink crinum, (was supposed to be 'Gulf Pride', I don't think so, but it has several offsets.) LMK

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

Dawn & Kip - I've been in San Antonio, so just got your requests. Gotcha covered.....Now I can get out there and see what more I have. That last freeze got some of my more tender stuff too, and I just haven't had time to go looking.

This is what I have so far:

Cj, could I have some of your cardamom ginger? Thanks

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Cj, could I have some of your cardamom ginger? I'm not sure but I think you gave me some H. Duehlberg last time. I have some things that survived my gh without tags. I am trying to find it on PF with no success. I'll try to post a picture of them here.

MaryLee, Amelia and I were talking today about some of the things that she has but can not remember what they are. I was thinking (hush up, Sandy) that if any of us that have some UPO's (Unidentified Potted Objects) to bring them and see who may know.

It's an idea.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Mary Lee, the first one looks like Phlox, the second one is Purple Aster, and I can't tell the other two.

Dallas, TX

Kip that would just be too much for me to haul. Where do you live , up the street from the pavillion? LOL
Sandy is not the only one ragging on you now. lol

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Kip,

Wow that must have been your one thought for a life time. Don't know what hush means. LOL

I listed a few things above. still looking and cleaning out weed seeds to put in the pots kipper is taking home. :O)

Iola, TX(Zone 8b)

Hi CJ,
If you have any left, I would love to have these four plants...
Cardamom ginger
Gaura lindheimeri 'The Bride'
Salvia lyrata ‘Purple Knockout’
Russelia equisetiformis (Firecracker Fern)
Thanks,
Trishann

I have created and posted my own tradelist! Please have a look here:

http://davesgarden.com/trading/view/list.php?list=have&member=dave

and let me know if you'd like me to set something aside for you!

dave

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

hey Dave!

I'd be interested in the snail vine, salvia argentine skies, and autumn joy sedum. let me know if you want anything on my list!

:) Kim

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

Dave - I'd love to have a Pride of Barbados......
Gotcha Trishann!

I took the Vigna caracalla off the list, as it's being requested a lot and I want to make sure I can get some strong plants to trade, and right now they are still quite small. I'll be (hopefully) bringing at least 2 V. caracallas with me to the roundup, but can't guarantee that.

best,
dave
