Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Gotcha down for an epi cutting Dawn. I'll get you a couple, only one has bloomed for me but I know there are different colors in the pots.

:) Kim

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Dawn....also could I get any of the following:

lemon balm
4 o'clock seedlings - I've tried these several times from seed and still nothing...lol
esperanza
crinum milk and wine

Thanks! Kim

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Dawn, I have you down for liatris and white bee brush. There's new growth on my salvia 'Black and Blue' and lt. blue salvia 'Majestic' (looks like 'Argentine Skies') Would you like for me to root a couple of either or both of those for you?

I'd love to have a crinum scabrum, crinum summer nocturne, loosestrife, coral honeysuckle, and lemon balm.

Thanks,
Patricia

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Dawn, could I have your Mexican Elderberry and 2 Esperaza seedlings.
I will be posting my list soon.
Josephine.

Nevada, TX(Zone 8a)

Wow, that was fast! Edited my list to reflect trades. Ü

Pat, I'd love it if you could root both of those salvias for me, THANK YOU.

Kim, I've found 4-o-clocks to be pretty easy. In fact once you get them started they should reseed easily, (maybe more than you want, LOL)

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Dawn, do you need an American Elderberry, Sambacus nigra var. canadensis? I can give you one.

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

Kim - DH & I worked in the yard today and discovered that I have some white butterfly ginger that I can share with you...how many do you want?.

I also have Henry Duehlberg Salvia and Black & Blue Salvia if anyone would like me to take some cuttings....

Still in discovery mode here....

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Oh yes cj! Thank you! One is fine but two would be great if you could. Thanks so much!!

Kim

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

I'll bring ya 3! ;-D

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Cj, do you have any more Henry Duehlberg Salvia? I thought I had one in the greenhouse, but I haven't found it yet. And the Black and Blue salvia, is that Salvia Guarantica? I could use one of those if any are left. Would they be good to plant with Cannas?

I am adding night blooming Jasmin to my list and atleast 2 datura seedlings from last spring. Not sure they still qualify as seedlings, since they have pretty good root systems by now probably. Also adding cactus orchid.

Ceejay, I'd love to have some cuttings of your Henry Duehlberg salvia as well as a start of cardamom ginger and Russelia equisetiformis (Firecracker Fern). Looks like the firecracker plant would work in a hanging basket in my zone and go into the greenhouse for the winter.
Thanks, and please keep checking my list. I hope I come up with something that you can use.

Dallas, TX

I dont have any idea of what I can bring yet, except for Mints and a few Hostas.
Marylee i would like some Mother of Thyme

Some other things I heard mention if its available;
Physostegia
Shasta Daisy
Liatris
Lemon Grass
Salvia
Coneflower
Epi Cuttings

Thank you ")

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Sylvia I will put you down for some epi cuttings!

:) Kim

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

I have Kim and Sylvia down for Mother of thyme. If there's more, I missed you, but I have more left.

Dallas, TX

Thanks Kim and Josephine! Ceejay Do I dare ask you to let me try Rusiella again? :) I just love that plant! i even bought one potted. Its out there with the rest of the stuff I cant recognize. :( I dont know if it made it or not.

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Mary Lee, you missed me on the mother of thyme. I hate to ask for more, but the one you gave me last year did not make it with the crazy hospital summer we had. Thanks!

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Not a problem, Patrob. I had to dig up a ton of it so I could clean out one of my rose beds. I know I can fill atleast 10 pots. It was very happy there, but it will be again.:)

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

I hope to do better for it this time! Thank you, Mary Lee.

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

I've had a few things die too. I am trying to go through everything now in the gh. I made it through one side. Leave the other side for tomorrow.

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

Patrob, Silverfluter, and Sylvia - got you covered. Silver, the Black and Blue is S. guaranitica. I have found that it doesn't like full sun here. I have mine planted at the base of Tx Star Hibiscus - on its east side, and it has done very well there. Lots of sun, but protection from the full west sun.

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Cj, yes the spot I have for it is on the south side of the hourse, but it's shaded by a pecan on one side and a massive live oak on the other side. Thanks Cj.

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

Just remembered - I can also take cuttings of Salvia microphylla 'Hotlips'.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

cj....I'd like to try the hot lips as well. How do you do cuttings for salvia? I have one I could cut from, it's got a pink flower, didn't come with a name. Do you do anything special or just stick them in some soil?

Kim

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Kim, I cut a piece of new growth about six inches long right below a node, strip the cutting of all but six or so leaves, and stick in moist potting soil in a small styrofoam cup. I cover with a two liter coke bottle that has the bottom removed. In the spring I have well rooted cuttings in about two weeks. Keep the cuttings out of direct sun and water if the soil seems dry. Some root from cuttings better than others, but I've had success with most.

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

LOL, Kim - I'll find out. Salvias are supposed to be easy to root. I'm counting on it. I have taken cuttings from the Black and Blue and some other salvias in the past, and just stuck them in the soil so that a couple of nodes were buried, with success. I am hoping that these will follow suit.

Dallas, TX

Do anyone have Four oclocks? They really work for getting rid of pest.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Sylvia...I think DawninTX has some seedlings.

Kim

Dallas, TX

Thanks Kim, thats just great Dawn and I are planning on coming to the RU together.

Nevada, TX(Zone 8a)

ceejaytown, could I possibly get a cutting of the Henry Duehlberg salvia? Pretty please?
Thank you.
Dawn.

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

I'm sorry that I won't be able to make the RU, but I'll be in Big Bend on the 28th. However, if anyone at the swap has a Hercules Club/Prickly Ash or a Rusty Blackhaw Viburnum that you want to get rid of, I would gladly take them off your hands. I'm sure I could talk someone from the DFW area into transporting them for me. :-)

Y'all have fun!

Carla

Boerne new zone 30, TX(Zone 8b)

sorry will not be there. work is sending me to dallas that weekend.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Does anyone have any semps (hen and chicks) or sedums? Or tillandsias/bromeliads? I have a stump I am wanting to mout some of these on, or at least try....lol.

:) Kim

Dallas, TX

Kim I might be able to bring you some Sedums ... dont have any Hens & Chick (dont grow for me) but I got all kind of sedums... that new Black Knight stuff. It looking kind of tired now, but perks up in the sun.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

That sounds great Sylvia....thanks!

Kim

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

I have some sedum too. It's tough as cast iron. It stays in a pot under my pecan tree all year and gets water when God feels like it. I'll bring some.

Meadows Place, TX(Zone 9a)

ceejaytown, I would be happy to beg for a Black and Blue salvia.

Kip

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Kip

I would be happy to beat you black and blue but you would probably like it. So never mind

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Now, that is pretty funny, I am glad to see you are getting your sense of humor back.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

ROFLOLOL, Sandy!!

Dallas, TX
