Texas Statewide Roundup April 28, 2007-TRADES
Ooooooh! One roughleaf dogwood and the Mexican plum in the gallon pot, please, if still available.
O.K. done for you CJ.
Josephine......could I please have a Salvia involucrata and a white yarrow?
Thanks, Kim
Josephine, could I please have a Salvia involucrata? I know this is silly since I gave some to you, but I lost my one and only because I did not take cuttings. At least it is showing no signs of life yet.
Thanks, Patricia
O.K. Pat, did you have it outside?
The one I left outside has not come back either.
Kim - Do you still have the 'Sunrise Sernade' morning glory available? If so, I'll take it. :-)
Yes, Josephine, I left it outside. It's a beautiful salvia, but it does not like to get as cold as we did this winter. I will have a couple of surprises for you. The pastures are becoming quite beautiful, and I am investigating to see what I can find. Thank you!
You are welcome Pat, I can't wait to see what you come up with.
Cj, so you mean you want the bicolor iris? It's yellow with dark spots on the petals. I need to find a spot for it where it'll get more sun to make it bloom more. They told me at the nursery that because it's so hot here they need afternoon shade. But I don't have many places where it can get morning sun and afternoon shade. Does anybody have any experience with this plant?
Mary Lee, is it the morea dietes? Sometimes called butterfly iris? It did not like growing in my conditions and went away. Too hot and too dry, I suppose.
Hmmmm. Maybe that's what it is. I'll look it up.
When I read the description I thought the same thing. If that's what it is, I have several, so won't need anymore....They grow like gangbusters here.
No I don't think so. I looked up bicolor iris on PF and that's the plant I have.
Gotcha down for the sunrise serenade cj!
Kim
Dietes bicolor is another name for Morea dietes. They just keep changing the durn name!
Thanks, Kim!
there's a few things up there now--I can always be tempted out of some other things...
Debbie, could I have one or two of the Prairie Sculcap please?
Anything you need from my list?
Josephine.
I just added Mexican Heather and liriope to my list.
Debbie, are the skullcap plants you have the same ones that we saw/bought last spring? And if so, how do you propagate them? I really like mine and I want more. :-)
no Marilyn--you can do the ones we had easily by cuttings or seeds. The ones we have are these:

Marilyn, did you see this? Do you want to go again this year?
http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/704001/
Yes Josephine you can have several--we are probably the only ones interested in those. I'm so specialized here now I doubt anyone is interested in bulbs. I'll see what else I have today but they will probably all be bulbs--you don't want to throw some Herbert lahue seeds out on your wildflower slope? They are the native Texas variety, not the smaller (and not as desirable in my opinion) South American strain.
Yes Debbie I will take the lahue seeds and some rain lilies, do I have anything you might want?
Thanks, Debbie! I do want to go again this year. I have a friend who might be joining us, too. :-)
Marylyn, I'd like to have a Mexican heather. Please don't ask what happened to the one you gave me last spring. :>(
Thanks, Patricia
debbie,
I will take any bulbs you are dividing. I still need to get out and see what I can bring besides what I have listed.
I spent several hours outside and got too hot. Now I have had 2 days of migraines. DS came out to use the truck today and took a load of branches and garbage to the dump. What a blessing. Now he is headed back and I ran around and gathered up all the piles and he is taking it when he gets back. Oh how wonderful to have that gone. Still more to do but the rest can wait.
Now we could use some rain. I am to tired to water. Also my WDGD were here most of the day. They are so sweet.
I don't suppose anyone would want some ditch lilies? I have some I can divide. Also run-of-the-mill orange cannas.
Kim
Dave do you still have any white yarrow? What can I bring you? Did the red buds I brought you last year survive?
Ann, do you still have pink ice plants?
Thanks in advance.:)
LOL You're very welcome to more Mexican Heather with no questions asked, Patricia. ;-)
I am adding Russian Sage to my list of haves.
Thanks, Marylyn!
Kim I would love to have some of your Ditch Lillies ... heard so much about them ... thanks
I will dig some up for you Sylvia!
Mary Lee....I'd love some russian sage.
:) Kim
Got it Kim.:)
Debbie ... where have you been? I havent seen you around lately ... or ... maybe its me thats been missing ... miss you girl!
Debbie, could I please have a Scutellaria resinosa and a Crinum americana, if available?
Oh, I'm always lurking about Sylvia. Whatcha been up to lately? Liking your new living quarters? I wonder if there will be any of those brass thingies for doorprizes--I need a few more. ;)
Yes Linda--may I have a couple of mistflowers and foxgloves please?
Josephine, I'm tired--it's late--I've been working on the website. What, exactly, is a Mexican petunia? If its Mexican, it will probably survive here. Got a link? I probably want one--lol
Marilyn--can I please have a mountain laurel seedling? Maybe it will help guide me home. I have a very special rain lily with your name all over it; the bulb is almost as big as a belladonna--it definitely won't get lost in your garden. ;)
Linda, would you still have some mist flower left? Also do you have any cedar sage? Thanks.:)
Debbie, you probably know it by a different name;
Here is the pink
http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/38183/index.html
and here is the purple
http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/38178/index.html
Yep, I know it by Ruellia--I definitely do not need that one! But thank you anyway! You know, there actually is a perennial heirloom petunia that I never can remember the name of without looking it up in a book; that's not ruellia.
silverfluter, I definitely have yarrow and you're welcome to some. I'm not 100% sure it's white, though. It's a named variety that was given to us by a neighbor, but they didn't know the variety name. It never did bolt into bloom all last year. I'll bring you some of it.
Also, yes, the Red Buds are doing excellent. I planted them in the south side of the garden and every one of them are leafed out this spring. They are about 4 feet tall. :)
dave
Four feet! Wow, you've got really good dirt. They don't grow that fast here. But then you get alot more rain than we do. I haven't noticed alot of seedlings this year I guess because we had such a dry year. If I see any should I bring some?
Thanks for the yarrow. I need it to go under a pecan tree. It's a challenge to find something to go under this tree.
