Texas Statewide Roundup April 28, 2007-TRADES

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Dawn if you're SURE you want it, I have lots of Clerdendron bungeii growing out in the compost pile corner. I'd be happy to dig some out for you. :-)

Nevada, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh Marylyn, I really do. Thank you! Is there anything on my list you're interested in?

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I would love to try the oxblood lily, Dawn. Thank you! :-)

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Marylyn, I'd love to have some clerodendron bungei if you have more to spare.
Thanks, Patricia

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Josephine I bought some garden phlox today and it does not look like that picture. The plant in that picture has a red stem and what I bought today has green stems. It looks like the last picture. I thought one of them might be some kind of salvia.

Meadows Place, TX(Zone 9a)

Dave, I would enjoy a Pride of Barbados and a Blue Anise Sage. My P of B just didn't make it through the last windy freeze I had.

Kip

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Ok, Patricia, I'll put you down. :-)

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

cj.....I would love a blue plumbago....I don't think mine is coming back.

Thanks, Kim

Ditto what Kim said. CJ - could I have a plumbago, too?

dave

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

Gotcha both. I added plumeria and brugmansia after your posts...

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Ooohhh....I'd like to try the plumeria too please cj!

:) Kim

Katy, TX(Zone 8b)

Does anyone have some butterfly vine that is rooted? Looking in the plantfiles I find 2 vines that seem to be this vine. It can be invasive, I know, but for me that's no problem. The vine is evergreen, has clusters of bright tiny yellow flowers followed by chartreuse seed pods roughly resembling a butterfly and these pods turn brown when ripe. The vine, wherever it touches the ground, roots. I had to leave mine down in Victoria when we moved here a couple of years ago. Still have nothing to trade but would appreciate your cast-offs. Thanks.

Ann

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

I've added several varieties of coleus and salvia, a couple of kinds of aloe, and Mexican mint marigolds. http://davesgarden.com/trading/view/list.php?list=have&member=patrob

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Patrob....I'd be interested in starts of both your aloes.

:) Kim

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

You've got them, Kim!

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Wow! I am really jealous of all the posting going on and I haven't put up my list yet.
I promise I will get it done soon.
Josephine.

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

Kim, Could I please have some orange cosmos seedlings if you have any left? BTW, I have seeds for Cassia alata if you would like some. (I think you asked for C alata) I guess I should list all of my seeds.... I have you down for the plumeria cutting.

AuntAnne - Do you have a butterfly pea vine left? I would love one if you do. Looking forward to meeting you!

I sure hope I haven't missed anybody!

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Thanks cj.....gotcha down for the cosmos. I have cassia alata seeds that I got in trade this spring but they didn't sprout. Perhaps I didn't do it right?

Thanks! Kim

Dallas, TX

CJ can I please try the Firecracker Plant again? I am in a different location now, maybe it will do better?
Thanks
Sylvia

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

Gee, Kim. I didn't know you could do it wrong! :-) I'll see if I can get some started...

Sylvia - Already got you down for the firecracker plant. But you can sure have more than one!! Mine get pretty much full sun. We had to whack them back this year because they got freeze damage. But there were all those little plants around them....

Dallas, TX

CJ I will take as many as you want give me. I live in a duplex now and my neighbor is an invalid, so i try to offset as much as possible ... except for my Hostas ... of course! lol

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Cj, I have been wanting to try a crinodonna for a long time, if you still have one. Thanks. What can I bring for you? I keep forgetting to list my roses that I can take cuttings from: Buff Beauty, Joan of Arc, Zepherine, Cecile Brunner Climber and shrub, Mdm Alfred Derriere, Red Cascade, Marie Pavie, Don Juan, New Dawn, Erfurt and one unknown red climber. I have so far about 10 pots of Mother of thyme. Oh I have a bicolor iris that I hope to dig up and move, so if anybody wants a start of that, let me know.

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

Gotcha, Silverfluter. I promised DH no more roses...You have some beauties there! I kill thyme. Which variety of iris do you have? Louisiana do well here, but the bearded iris sulk and eventually die.

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

I have Eolean La iris, and something Strawn. I think it's Kirk. One un-named and one other I can't remember. One of them is about ready to bloom. I'm so excited! Oh also Almeria. Some of these are in the pond and have really multiplied. I need to take some out of those pots. The ones planted in dirt haven't multiplied as much, so I think I'll put all of them in dirt.lol I can't keep up with these pond plants.:)

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

Oops. I meant the bicolor iris that you were going to dig up and move. My La iris are beginning to bloom, but I think they're all purple. I sure love them. And the fragrance.....!!!!! I just have to figure a way to hide them when they go down. Is it OK to cut off the foliage after a certain length of time?
