Here's My Christmas Tree

Beaumont, TX(Zone 8b)

Beautiful trees! Each one is so unique. I love those themes. Especially the antique tree. You must have a huge house to accomodate all of those trees. I'd have to start decorating in July to get them all decorated before Christmas. :-)

I love it! What a clever idea!

Paris, TX(Zone 8a)

They're all just gorgeous. You are so lucky to have such well behaved cats. Mine don't show such restraint. Part of my morning routine includes picking up stray ornaments and putting them back on the tree. lol I love 'em though.

Balotesti, Romania(Zone 5a)

Love the trees ! Anne, Henry did such a great job ! You have a big boy now !

I have too another kind of Christmas tree, which I made of pine cones. This is last Christmas decoration.

trees, trees and more trees. what a wonderful thread this has been.

sweezel - how did you put two pictures on your post.??

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Adina, it's in a box now. I should be able to post a photo "fully dressed" by Saturday. That's the plan any way......

Herbie, I used a photoshop like program to paste the pics into one file. The program is called Gimp and available online. I just opened each picture in Gimp, copied and then pasted each picture into a new blank file which was twice as wide as the original. Saved it and Viola, they were side by side in one file.

Well I've loved ALL the shots!
Especially love the old ornaments.
We are very cramped for space here so no tree.
Instead we have little scenes.
Here's the trees on the stair landing done by my S/O (She's the decorator)

Picasa is even simpler than that. It is also free. It will help you make up a blog also.

Debra, way to go! We will patiently wait. i knew you could do it.
Have a good time decorating.

henryr10... that scene is beautiful! Tell your S/O she does a fabulous job! Daylily... wow! All your trees are awesome! I have a question... I am assuming that all the ones in creative bases are artificial (as are mine...my christmas trees, I mean)... anyway... how are you securing them in such imaginative bases?

This is at least as much fun as driving around to see Christmas lights!

Coshocton, OH(Zone 6a)

bsavage ~ i use bricks.

magoobu ~ each tree has it own rubbermaid box and all the decorations go in it, every box and tree are labeled. i put 30+ trees every christmas, it takes about 2 weeks to put them up.

here's a group of trees that dad built boxes that fit the base.

Friends, I just posted a long warning on the Parking Lot forum that has nothing to do with Christmas, but feel it's worthy of sharing. It concerns scams and provides links to several websites with articles about Nigerian scams. I work for the BBB and see these every day.

Take care, Debra

Wow, daylily... awesome! I agree - you are the most Christmas-y!

fleursdefouquet, thank you for the warning. You can't be too careful these days.

Debra, thanks, my tree looks almost the same now, only it's a little smaller, but it takes me a couple of hours only to arrange the branches ! I took a picture for you too ! The dimensions are in cm.

Balotesti, Romania(Zone 5a)

Anne, it looks a lot like Debra's because it's Italian , not Romanian ! They are doing good stuff, like everyone else in the world, while we are starting again...but we're coming faster !
Adina

Phoenix, MD(Zone 7a)

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Awesome trees above. I especially like the Christmas tree. It's fun!

Ours won't be up for a few days, but I'll take a picture when we do get it up.

Hey Adina, I like your tree! That's too funny!

The spirit finally moved me so I decided to take the afternoon off and get my tree put up. I started on it around 3pm and stopped about 10:30. I'm pooped! Darn it - after I started decorating it a portion of the lights went out. There is a section about 1/3 from top, all the way around, that isn't lit. Wasn't about to undo it, take it apart, and return it to the store. And my angel topper keeps tilting like she's about to do a triple somersault dive off the top of the tree! Here goes.....

And my foyer. The mantel is next - will have to wait until tomorrow night.

Love all the pics! So fun to see all the Christmas tree creativity! Every one is original!

This year ours is small but it's cheery. Every year we do a little different theme, and sometimes the tree's 'fake' and sometimes 'real' depending on our mood and how much effort the family is willing to put in to going into the attic and decorating.

Looking at everyone's decorations makes me want to take another trip to the attic and pull out some more garland and bows and do the stairs, another tree and other the fireplaces.

Wish we were having you all over for a holiday drink! And wish we were invited to your house, too!

Happy Christmas to all!

fleur - what a pretty tree! So frustrating when lights go out... but you'll get it working. I love the ribbon in the tree.

tabasco - also very pretty! Happy Christmas!

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

tabasco - how pretty! That could be a page from Southern Living magazine. Lovely room.
Debra

Balotesti, Romania(Zone 5a)

Debra, sorry for the lights ! I'm sure it'll be solved immediately ! The ornaments are great ! Is that a ribbon or a veil? It's beautiful and decorates so well the tree !
Adina

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Adina,
Thanks! It's called floral.......ah, floral.......floral something. (see Ann - there's my "some-timers again) It is sold at craft stores and florists and comes on big rolls like paper towels - but about 3 ft long. It is actually a very fine mesh wire woven into a type of ribbon shape. The wire allows you to shape it. It sells out fast around here.

Phoenix, MD(Zone 7a)

I love your tree Debra inside and outside of the BOX!!!!

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Thank you, Anne! It only took an afternoon off from work and SEVEN HOURS of decorating......but it's DONE!

Phoenix, MD(Zone 7a)

Good job!!!!

Standard???? You meant to say! GORGEOUS!

Lewisville, MN(Zone 4a)

Beautiful tree, Kelli.
I'm not sure what standard is.
Bernie

Moab, UT(Zone 6b)

Standard is the thing you put the tree in so it won't fall over. Definitely not Kelli's tree.
Just having great time looking at all the wonderful trees and seeing the kidlets. I used to have a tree in the kitchen too. And the wonderful glass ornaments, like my Momma had, I have a couple that are left from that time in my life.
