Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

Is it Smitten Kitten?

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

Oh darn it I was too late..just found it...I agree Smitten Kitten!

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

Janet, I just happened to have trouble sleeping tonight so I thought I would go on the computer awhile and noticed the pics.Maybe my insomnia was for a reason LOL. I hope we are right. : )

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

I think we are right..but what do I know..LOL...hope you can sleep now...we most likely won't know till morning, or maybe aroudn four o'clock in the morning when Critter can't sleep...and has a wee hour call...LOL...this has been so much fun!!!!

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

LOL Janet,You are so right about this being fun! I feel just like Sherlock Holmes searching for the answer to the mystery.I just love seeing all the beautiful blooms. My wish list is growing longer every day : )

Red Oak, NC(Zone 7b)

I agree, it looks like Smitten Kitten.

Madison Heights, MI(Zone 5b)

I saw the reference to "patience" and just had to tell my story. When my niece was about 2 1/2 I was playing with her putting a puzzle together, and she got mad and threw a piece that wouldn't fit. I said, "Savannah, where is your patience"? She then began to walk around the room saying "patience?" "patience?" as she searched behind the sofa, under the table, behind the door... I'm not sure she ever did find her patience.... :-)

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

LOL at bloomaholic, and I hope the rest of you got some sleep last night!

Yes, it is indeed 'Smitten Kitten'! Those blooms are so sweet with their darker "eye" in the center.

Here are some leaf babies....

Here's the next call!

This plant was bought for MsC, but before I shipped it I took a "handling charge" of a pair of leaves. ;-) I absolutely love the foliage on this one... look at the sun shining through those leaves!

Tiger Trail??

Emporia, KS(Zone 5b)

Now look at that timing!!! lol We need to have little buzzers like in the Jeapardy game. hahaha jk

Well, I'm also thinking it looks like Tiger Trail...and WOW...that looks AWESOME through the light! But if it's not...just in case...I'm going to throw in a guess of Biscayne Trail. lol ; )

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

LOL@ CJ.I just pictured playing jeopardy and I do believe I would be the one pressing the buzzer all the time too soon and getting locked out!! Hey its even answered in the form of a question : ) Glad to hear you picked a different one.I think I'm right but..ohhhh we all know how wrong I can be : ) Keeping my fingers crossed : ) That is one beautiful plant : )
Nancy

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Oh, no... the leaves on 'Tiger Trail' don't have that wonderful red back, although that is another one that I bought for MsC! Biscayne Trail has girl foliage...

LOL, I guess we'll wait to hear from somebody else on this call! ;-)

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

The other one I thought...Maybe...Grape Slush?

edited to say.Or isn't a second guess allowed? If it first you don't succeed?LOL

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Nancy, didn't you read our new rule? I even posted a reminder, I thought, when I said, "I guess we'll wait to hear from somebody else." No more guesses for you or CJ unless I say you can try again! :-) LOL, now I'm envisioning a teacher with two kids wildly waving their hands, looking around the room and saying... "anybody else want to answer this one?"

It's not 'Grape Slush' BTW.

With 'Tiger Trail' and 'Biscayne Trail' eliminated as possibilities, there are only two other trailers on the list, so I am quite sure somebody will come along with the correct ID! And yes, I did double check to be certain this one hadn't been called already... I do not want to administer any more wet noodle slaps to myself! LOL

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

LOL." I am prepared to take my punishment" she says head down slowing walking to stand in the corner.Time Out : )

Livermore, KY(Zone 6a)

Deer Trail?

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

LOL

I have another shot of my plant in bloom, but the color is too washed out, so I think the first photo is better for ID.

Here's a leaf baby photo... This one propagates nicely from leaf cuttings, and I have a few leaf babies coming along now!

Sorry, you posted while I was looking for the photo... But it's not Deer Trail, either.

I thought somebody would get this one right away.... I guess it's Monday and we haven't had enough coffee!

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

It is Yesterday's Valentine!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Yes it is!! When I called Yesterday"s Child, I said there were two very similar trailers on the list... this is the other one, LOL.

Good call, Janet!

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

Have a paid enough time out? I am waving my hands wildly again!! : ) LOL

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

Whooooo Great Job Janet.I was about to burst!! : ) This is too much fun!! : )

Livermore, KY(Zone 6a)

Mine was a complete guess.

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

WOW I GOT one...before anyone else...can't believe it! It would be even more exciting if it was on my CARD..LOL

Emporia, KS(Zone 5b)

All right, JANET!!! ; )

Also, critter, I am very delighted you actually administered the wet noodle straps!! haha!! Spaghetti to boot...with or without the sauce?? ; )

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

CJ..With Sauce and you can't imagine how much it stings! LOL

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

LOL, no sauce, just a few slaps with the spaghetti strands as they went into the collander... and I didn't administer a single lash with a wet noodle to Nancy, she just stood herself in the corner for a bit.... ROFL, you're all just too cute!

The next call is the first plant that I bought at Carousel of Violets in Winston-Salem... I fell in love with the bloom! It didn't bloom again for nearly 2 years, and in the meantime it lost its nametag, and frankly I thought I'd lost the plant until one of my "noids" bloomed last December... and I recognized it! What a lovely surprise!

OH OH OH (waving hand frantically) I know this one...........oh poo hehehehehe.. I'm not playing....back to my corner..Lauri

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

Ok Lets see if I can get another one wrong. LOL I guess Peppermint Girl

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

Sheer Romance...

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

I bet you are right Janet : )

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

I think you are right though...Peppermint Girl....girl foilage..

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

Nancy, that is too funny, we were each agreeing with the other at the same time..LOL I really think Peppermint Girl because of the leaves, I don't think the other one has ruffles!

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

Well, I really have a strong feeling about my answer because of the foliage and I swear I remember seeing a pic somewhere but....just watch and it will probably end up different than either of us picked : )

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

It's 'Sheer Romance'. But I enjoyed reading your debate, LOL.

Although the description just says "ovate," the leaves on mine are definitely ruffled... it's one of the things that drew me to the plant.

Girl foliage seeme to be distinguished more by the cupped shape and the lighter mark at the center/base of the leaf than by ruffling... I've seen some girl foliage that's heavily ruffled ('Rob's Raggamuffin' and 'Tsarina') and some that doesn't seem ruffled at all (like 'Smitten Kitten' and 'Peppermint Girl', actually). The lighter leaf center characteristic varies also and is much more pronounced in some varieties, or maybe just more pronounced in particular plants of that variety.

My 'Peppermint Girl' blooms have had only a tiny white edge, if any.

Yah, I know I could've given you more of a clue by indicating that this was a standard... but Lauri knew it without that hint! :-)

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

Good Going Janet!! Good Eye!!! : )

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

BTW, take a look at this alternate photo on FC for 'Sheer Romance'... It almost looks like the same photo that I posted!

I'm fairly sure of the name, but I'd probably label it with a "?" or call it a lookalike when trading because of the lost-tag issue. There was a time when I didn't bother labeling my AVs because I only had a handful of named varieties... but sometimes trying to rely on my memory gets me into trouble! LOL

Well, I thought the flower was right...but the leaves threw me off a little...I was SO sure when I posted and them I went ...uhoh!! LOL...second guessing myself..but I an thrilled I got it right...just not on my card either...woudln't you know...I should have looked them all up before choosing my names....I am really wanting some of these I see pictures of for sure!
