Bonnie, if you look at the list at the top of the thread (second post), you'll see that all of yours were called except 'Petite Blarney'.

Here's a photo of 'Petite Blarney'.

(This is not a call; the game is finished. :-) )

OK who, when and where is the next game....

SW, WI(Zone 4b)

Congrats, cedarnest!!

Again it was a lot of fun and got right down to the wire!

I had Sure to Please and Biscayne Trail left to go.
(I don't get online on weekends)

Emporia, KS(Zone 5b)

Were we still going to try to id the rest of the pictures?

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

I sure hope we get to see the rest of them . I really enjoy seeing what they look like : )

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Oh! sorry, I've been distracted by T-day preparations...

With only three to go, the IDing isn't much of a challenge, LOL... so I think I'll just name them as I go...

Candy Crystals (7944) 10/08/1993 (S. Sorano) Semidouble bright pink pansy/red sparkle frilled edge. Variegated dark green, pink and white, plain, pointed/red back. Semiminiature

I love the sparkly blooms and the tidy variegated foliage on this one!

Sure to Please (A. E. Adams) Single white, rose and mauve variable. Crown variegated green and cream, serrated, girl foliage. Semiminiature

This is one of the few girl leaf plants that I'd describe as having tidy foliage... The variable bloom color means this plant can produce a bouquet in shades of pink and purple!

I know I had a better photo of this one... oh well... it's the one at the back in this shot, sorry.

'Biscayne Trail' -- standard trailer with girl foliage and violet-purple blooms.

This is one of my favorite plants, but it took nearly a year to fill out and look nice. When it first started suckering, rather than branching outward it grew up and up, into a 3 inch "totem pole" full of little suckers. Definitely an ugly duckling, it looked really peculiar for months! But eventually the suckers did start turning into outward branches, and once it filled out in the pot it started blooming. :-)

By the way, if anyone has a date on any of my unregistered varieties (like 'Biscayne Trail' and 'Sure to Please'), PLMK... I'm trying to tag my "vintage" varieties, in part so I can be sure to propagate and share the older ones.

Oh Candy Crystals is a Beauty! So is Sure To Please! I had Biscayne Trail but sent it home with mom because it just didn't seem to like me.LOL It would not grow!! It stayed terminally small no matter how patient I was..It has grown well for her and bloomed real pretty. It seems she has the touch. Thanks for showing the rest of the photos. They are lovely! : )

Livermore, KY(Zone 6a)

Is anyone doing December?

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Yes that's what I was wondering who is doing Decmeber's Bingo :))

Caistor, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

If anyone needs a card holder I'll do it..I don't mind and it is fun...........I'd play but with a move coming in the near future I really don't need to win.........and my luck I would....Lauri

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Lauri, I think you should play this time rather than holding cards! :-)

I know there were people interested in going in together on a gift certificate or other prize, so maybe somebody will come forwared to organize it after Thanksgiving... I think this week is just too busy! I know I've been distracted!

Livermore, KY(Zone 6a)

I can hold cards this time. I don't have any avs to offer as a gift nor do I know enough names to come up with for the bingo game. I can hold cards.

Caistor, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

O.K. I'll play this time..........Lauri

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

OK, we've got a card holder for the next game -- thanks!!

I know there are a lot of fans of the "Buckeye" series of violets here (me included!), so maybe this would be a fun and easy idea... Pick 35 "Buckeye" variety names for the game list, and perhaps several people could go in together for a gift certificate to Pat's Patch, http://www.buckeyeviolets.com/. She's got a special going on now: 25 leaves or 6 "husky starter plants" for $39 including shipping.

I know people have lots of other ideas for winter games, but I just thought I'd toss an additional suggestion out there... :-)

Emporia, KS(Zone 5b)

Wow...your Candy Crystals is a real looker!! I think I've seen that picture somewhere else in the av forum. ; )

Your idea sounds good- I'd go in on a gift certificate for the winner. ; )

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

I would Love to try my hand at being the hostess for our December Bingo Game.I don't want to say anymore about the theme or anything until I know if it would be ok with you all if I hosted it.. I can donate the Grand prize on my own but would appreciate offers for other prizes incase we have more than 1 winner. Please let me know what you think.
