When it first started suckering, rather than branching outward it grew up and up, into a 3 inch "totem pole" full of little suckers. Definitely an ugly duckling, it looked really peculiar for months! But eventually the suckers did start turning into outward branches, and once it filled out in the pot it started blooming. :-) By the way, if anyone has a date on any of my unregistered varieties (like 'Biscayne Trail' and 'Sure to Please'), PLMK... I'm trying to tag my "vintage" varieties, in part so I can be sure to propagate and share the older ones. |
