What's Growing, Part 2

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Yankee, Very nice show of lilies!

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

The lilies are beautiful. I thought at first that the yellow ones had wierd shaped petals until I realized that the tips were a similar orange to the others. They had blended in and caused a trick of the eye!

Wheatfield, NY(Zone 6a)

YankeeCat, that isn't by any chance 'Peaches n Dreams' hollyhock, is it? I love it! Very, very pretty. I need to get some :-)

I finally have something bloomin'..second spring for these shasta daisies 'Highland White Dream'. I was kind of disappointed with them last year. They were all single and not what I expected. But they are looking much better this year. I must learn to be patient with my perennials...I must learn to be patient with my perennials...I must learn........

Gram,
They are beautiful! If it helps you any: I used up most of my patience while raising my 5 children, so there's not much left for the granchildren, never mind the perennials!
This is today's blooms for me, "Chicago Gold Coast"

Ok, Andy. Now that's what we've been waiting to see! I knew that 'Polish Spirit' would be magnificent. I'm trying to imagine what kind of space some of you folks have. The long lists of daylilies, and walls of clematis. (do I sound jealous?). I am just loving these pictures. Pixie, there are just tons of buds on the Lollipops. I do keep a silver mound around in case I need something to pet ;-)

Pixie, the Lollipops look great. With all those buds coming, you better take another pic in a couple of days. Lollipop lovers want to see, LOL.

Grampapa, After I posted that pic I noticed that it would be near the end of this very active thread. Kinda fitting seeing the first pic was the same plant. Glad I got it in.
200 posts in only 10 days, wow.
I'll let someone else start 'part 3'.

Another wet flower pic.

grampapa - the hollyhock is a perennial - you are welcome to seeds later this summer. I always have tons of seeds. The rain broke the plant in the picture today. Sigh.

An unidentified daylily from my yard. (It was a mystery bonus with something that I bought.)

YankeeCat, I'm sorry the rain got your hollyhock. Glad you got a pic first, though. It's a beauty. Thanks for the seed offer. I don't think I have anything to trade, but I'd be more than happy to pay postage.

My calla lillies are opening up too. This bed is becoming a columbine bed next year so I will be selling/trading these corms next year as I don't have a suitable spot.
