You are too cute for words - even when you're acting silly!!! And I love the shoes.

Lake Forest, CA(Zone 10a)

Awww shucks Murmur! Now- if you want to see cute take a gander at my youngest...

Yup. That is one adorable child! My favorite pics are always those of our "real" children - how they are more likely to look than not!! How old are your kidlets? (Mine are older than you - lol!)

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

lol I don't think the bib caught much...and Croc I love the green but mine are day glo pink and I wear them with everything. DH HATES them!

Whidbey Island, WA(Zone 7a)

Just lookin' at the pic again - I would kiss that darling face, as is, in a heartbeat!! My youngest grandchild is eight - he was with me all the time when he was a toddler (my youngest daughter was a single mom and they were around constantly). How I miss those times. Although I'm happy to say my daughter is re-married to a great guy and they have created a good life together.

DFW area, TX(Zone 7b)

Oh, my, Croclover !!! LOVE the shoes, but who's that
goofy looking girl? LOL
I think you went out and bought a brand new pair.
You said "with my toes sticking out." No way can your
toes stick out of these shoes. Not a chance.

Your youngest is absolutely adorable. Those are the
pictures you will treasure when you're an old lady like me.
The formal family photos are very nice, but not what you
will linger over and laugh about with your children when
they are grown. Her children will delight in seeing their
mama in all her splendor LOL Thank you.

Lake Forest, CA(Zone 10a)

I'm glad you liked the photos, everyone! The little guy is 14 months and I also have a 5 yr old son and no we're not trying for a girl- we're done!

You bet I am going to treasure that photo because I don't have very many with him smiling. Everyone who meets him says he is the most serious baby they've ever met. Usually the only time he smiles is when he has a huge handful of somebody's hair and they're screaming "Ouch!"

Now Mahnot, these are the same pair- there are little round holes on the tops of the shoes and gum drop sized holes all around the sides, all of which you can see bright pink toe nails "peeking out". I figured the cross eyed photo would be more fun.

Araness- my DH and my brother and SIL and dad and mom...I could go on about all the people who hate my crocs, but I don't care- my 5 yr old wears his blue ones with pride because the two of us know what everyones missing!

I think the Crocs are kinda cute, but I'm still wondering why they don't rub blisters on your feet since they fit so loosely.

Lake Forest, CA(Zone 10a)

Bivbiv, that is just one of the mysterious nand magical properties of Crocs- no blisters. What I continue to ponder is how I can wear them all day every day and they never sweat and they don't stink. Oh and did I mention that they weigh like three ounces each?

Central FL, FL(Zone 9b)

Amazing. I can't stand to wear regular shoes without stockings, so in summer I'm usually in sandals. It would be nice to have something closed I could wear when my toenails need polishing. I just hope I can find some I don't walk out of because of my skinny feet.

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

I love mine also I've spent hundreds of bucks on shoes (Mephesto brand etc) only to have a pair of 30.00 buck plastic/foam pair of clogs beat em out. My toes peep through also *G* so just an excuse to keep up on the pedicures.

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

Biv they have a strap you can either move forward or back to keep your feet in...so you shouldn't have a problem

Lake Forest, CA(Zone 10a)

BivBiv,

Go to the Crocs webite and punch in your zip code to see where there is a local retailer, there's bound to be one near you. The key to a good fit is this: if they're comfy and you don't feel like you're going to walk out of them, then they're the correct size. Good luck to you- I know you'll love them!

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

btw they run on the large size so I got a size smaller than I normally wear...so check out the kids sizes too

Lake Forest, CA(Zone 10a)

I bought a kids size as well.

Central FL, FL(Zone 9b)

There are over 20 stores in my area, and the nearest is only 10 minutes from my house. I usually dread shoe shopping because it's frustrating trying to find my size, but I'm looking forward to this trip! Hah, a shoe that's loose but feels good. Can't wait to try them. I went to their website yesterday, but something was wrong; and I couldn't get to the page with the locator. Today it worked! Thanks for all the info.

Clearwater, FL(Zone 9b)

I, too, found the locator today, but the stores in my area that have them? Don't carry the style I decided on (Rx), so I ordered online. Bad feet run in my family (particularly plantar fasciitis, bone spurs, and a host of other problems) and a shoe designed for these problems (and "generally achey feet") sounded too good to pass up.

I can't wait until they arrive!

Lake Forest, CA(Zone 10a)

Well, I am happy to see that more folks are being made aware of the wonders of Crocs. I should start getting a commission from them for every "convert"!

Central FL, FL(Zone 9b)

Or would that be "Crocvert"?

Lake Forest, CA(Zone 10a)

Why yes, Biv, I think Crovert is appropriate. I am enjoying our Crocversation very much and can't wait to see your new crocs!

Whidbey Island, WA(Zone 7a)

LOL!!!

ShelfLife, the feet problems in your family sounds like mine - good luck!!! I may have to check these out for myself - a pair that would take my orthotics maybe? The orthotics are for the plantar fasciitis.

DFW area, TX(Zone 7b)

OK, OK, I looked at their site. There are 4 stores nearby
that sell them. I'm getting the ones for the Beach.
Haven't decided on the color yet. Will have to see which
ones look good with varicose veins.

Whidbey Island, WA(Zone 7a)

Mahnor, there I was, just reading along about you having four stores nearby and then I burst out laughing about finding ones that look good with varicose veins!!!

Lake Forest, CA(Zone 10a)

Well Mahnot, the lime green look great with a small amout of spider veins. I am only 34 but got my first spider when I was about 8. I have a few around the ankle area, and a few around the knees. By the time I am 50 it will look like somebody punched me in the back of the knee- I know because this happened to granma and mom- my mom won't wear shorts anymore but I am not going to let it stop me!

Whidbey Island, WA(Zone 7a)

Mahnot/Mahnor, sorry about the typo! Hate it when I look back and see that I've done that (especially with a name).

And, Croclover, I agree don't let something like veins stop you from being comfortable and wearing shorts!!! I don't wear them too often, but it's because my skins is so white and I burn so easily - it's not worth the effort to put so much sunscreen on!

Central FL, FL(Zone 9b)

Well, girls, I went shopping for Crocs this morning...and, sorry, but I looked at my feet and laughed; I just couldn't wear them. I looked like Minnie Mouse wearing her mother's shoes! LOL I have a very small frame and skinny feet, and I looked like I was all feet...just these big pod-like things growing on the ends of slender legs. I even tried the thongs, but looked as if I was simply wearing the wrong size. There was another woman trying Crocs on, and I thought they looked cute on her. But they just looked funny on me. Funky I don't mind (even at my age), but funny is something else. :) Also, when I walked in them, I didn't actually feel comfortable in something so loose, but rather like I should be crimping my toes to hold them on. Maybe the comfort comes once you get used to them. Phooey, I was really excited about finding something comfy and cool to knock around in. And I really, really need something to cheer me up this morning, believe me.

Clearwater, FL(Zone 9b)

>>a pair that would take my orthotics maybe

I believe the RX pair (the ones I ordered) will also accomodate orthotics -- check their web site, though... I may be mis-remembering which pair was which, lol. I'll let you know how they work for me.

As to color, I have to admit I was glad to pick a style that had sedate colors -- I wouldn't mind wearing hot pink in the garden, but since my favorite pair of shoes died, I've been looking for something I can wear in general...

I'm pretty casual (some would say "sloppy"), but I don't wear a lot of dayglo. ;)

Lake Forest, CA(Zone 10a)

Sorry you weren't able to get a pair, Biv. They do tend to make one's feet look a bit funny- my family makes fuun of mine all the time. They were originally inteded as boating shoes. If you felt like you had to crimp your toes to kee them on then they were definitely too big for you. I ended up buying a children's size because the women's size 6/7 make me feel like I was ready to walk right out of them.

I too am casual, Shelflife ( some would say sloppy) and I keep threatening my family with, "Hey until you guys turn me in to "What Not To Wear" on TLC, the fashion offenses shall continue!"

My husband begs me to buy clothes now instead of plants! HA!

Whidbey Island, WA(Zone 7a)

I don't think my husband realizes yet that I am buying most of my clothes at the second hand store so that I can keep buying more and more plants!!!!

Biv, hope you're okay - you sounded down in the dumps.

Lake Forest, CA(Zone 10a)

I'm not even buying the clothes at a second hand store! I'm just not buying any at all, and most of them have bleach stains on them and dirt and grass stains. I am in a sorry state!

I got a TON of plants today! SoCal stopped by for a visit, and she gave me a little Iceberg rose that she started from seed and some cool things called Shrimp vine, and a Passion flower vine and I am so excited! Then, this evening, I went to my neighbor's house and she dug up a bunch of glads, Penstemmon, Society Garlic, Agapantha, Dianthus...I could go on and on- and then this Saturday I'm going to the Round Up and who knows what I might end up with!

I am going to be busy tomorrow! I have so many plants to plant! Oh- and let's not forget the Morning Glories that EmmaGrace sent me!

I am so overwhelmed by how generous gardeners are! I am still so new so I don't really have any to share, but someday when I do, I'll be so happy to give someone else a gift from my garden.

Whidbey Island, WA(Zone 7a)

How about a bunny? Oops. Wrong thread.

DFW area, TX(Zone 7b)

Not so fast, lady !!! What about a bunny????

DFW area, TX(Zone 7b)

Oh, my gosh!!! I have just found Croclovers thread
of her dastardly deeds in relation to the poor bunny.
Ignoble, unwarranted threats and violence,
shameful disregard of the feelings of bunnies and
squirrels and cement gnomes. Devious acts of
sabotage. Too sordid to comment
on any further. Shocking - just shocking.

Central FL, FL(Zone 9b)

Yesterday I told a friend about shopping for Crocs, and the first thing she said was, "I'll bet you looked like Minnie Mouse in them!" "Worse," I said. "More like Minnie in her mom's shoes!" As it turns out, my friend keeps Crocs in her car all the time to wear on sandy job sites (she's an interior designer, too.) She said last week she forgot and left them in a client's car, and she's going nuts without them.

Thanks for asking, Murmur. I'll be fine.

SSSSSShhhhhhhh! Don't tell anyone about my alter-ego Mahnot and Murmur! Ooops. Too late- this IS the thread that we laid the groundwork for out Buttopiary business.

Austin, TX(Zone 8b)

Biv...I have tried the Crocs and they fit me that way too. I have to have a form-fitting shoe or I too feel like scrunching my toes all the time! :)
