Okay now, reaaaallllly strange!

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

Hey, I'm north!

How far north?

*getting nervous now*

mg

Well, I don't see anything different. LOL LOL

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

I did notice the Forum tab said Garden Talk for a bit, but now it's back to saying Fourm.

If you look to the north on the weather map on Tuesday morning, all you are going to see is pre-existing snow. So...our new banner maybe? Like North on the computer screen?

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

This is making me a nervous wreck! It's the excitement, ya know! Dave does it to me/us on purpose...I'm sitting here waiting for the other shoe to drop...er, wait, bad comparison...This SHOE will hang in there, waiting, waiting, waiting.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6a)

Quoting:
At first light, look to the north.

Can't wait to see what lights up the northern skies here on Tuesday morn !

Dea

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

Shoe, you'd better 'toe' the line and be patient with Dave. I'm sure 'heel' let us know so we can keep 'instep' here on DG. Dave is going to make his special magic, 'sole' let's not sit here with our 'tongues' hanging out waiting. (That just about exhausts my shoe references, but not my Shoe references).

NW Qtr, AR(Zone 6a)

... Weezins ..

It looks like you jes may've 'tied' up most all of the loose 'strings'.

But, 'eye' can bet that there are a few more 'dangling' about, somewhere tho' .. LOL ..

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

Magpye, I should have known you'd find a way to outpun me on this 'tread'.

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

Weezingreens,

From the 'bottom' of my 'sole', I'm glad you are not my 'arch' enemy! It's 'support' from friends like you that make this p'lace' so great.

Now I'd better 'lug' myself out of here before Dave fears to 'tread' back in. I better 'cleat' up my act...

'Toe' pun, or not 'toe' pun, that is the question!

mg

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

Fear 'knot', mg, Dave is busy working on his surprise!

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

Take a 'bow', that one was great!

mg

NW Qtr, AR(Zone 6a)

Ahh, sweet Weez .. Gotta ask; did you mean: 'out-RUN' ? .. (heee)

Nah, haint tryin' to do no-such, anyway - jes merely following along in your wonderful 'tracks' .. Don't have the 'leather' nor the 'stitching' to try anymore! So, if ya will .. jes give a 'boot' to that idea.

(.. Not another wet noodle whoopin', please ..)
Don't think my 'sole' could stand another.

((huggerooners))

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

I gotta 'run' for a bit, I'm getting 'tied' up here.

Somebody 'pump' Dave for some hints!

mg

NW Qtr, AR(Zone 6a)

'Tripping' the light fantastic and doing the ol 'soft shoe'. Geez, we're liable to just 'flip-flop' all different directions! What wonderful 'solemates' we could all 'mold' into being ...

Hoping against all odds, this thread won't get the 'shaft' before anyone else can get their 'foot' in the door! May need to 'patent' this 'thread' for its originality.

'Sew', any other 'keds' willing to 'shuffle' along also?

Mansfield, TX(Zone 8a)

Joan,
My forums tab still says Garden Talk, and I even closed the browser and started over. This is driving me crazy! I'm gonna be in bad shape by Tuesday.
Sharon

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Sharon, my forums tab on the home page says Garden Talk, but once I get into a thread, then it says forums. I just noticed the difference this morning.

I'm keeping my eyes peeled for little changes that may be further clues. :)

Mansfield, TX(Zone 8a)

OK Joan - now I'm really confused, because mine says "Garden Talk" no matter where I go. Very strange.
Sharon

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Hmmm... Mine definitely says forums on top of this thread. Strange indeed.

Well, all I got to say is this entire thing has me in stitches!
LOL LOL

Congrats LOLOLOL

mg

Make sure you shift-refresh to see the correct tabs. I'm changing them recently and you want to see the latest.

Tuesday morning a new tab will appear at the top.

dave

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Good luck trying to squeeze another tab up there. Looks pretty full to me. :)

Temecula, CA(Zone 8b)

I remember Tab........

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Then: Tab, Fresca, and RC

Now: Tab, refresh and right-click.

So close and yet so far.

Temecula, CA(Zone 8b)

lol,

Garden Talk eh? Thanks Terry. That makes sense to me now....lol.

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

Terry,

Why don't you just type "Neener Neener Neener"!

mg (who would very much like to call an Admin a Brat, but is refraining)

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Who, me??? (bats eyes innocently)

Why, I was just taking a walk down Nostalgia Lane (and trying to change the subject so I don't appear to be rubbing anyone's nose in the fact I know something you don't. Because that's impolite.)

Ahem. Where was I??? Oh yes....

Actually I still like Fresca - it's just hard to find these days. They came out with some new flavors that are rather icky. So I always look closely at the bottle before I buy it.

Tab I can live without for the rest of my life. It always tasted a little flat (or maybe salty, I dunno.)

RC's....well, we live 20 miles from the town that has an annual RC Cola and Moonpie festival each June, so I can get an RC fix whenever I want ;o)

Moonpies - yummy. Especially the chocolate ones. My advice is to skip the banana unless you like that artificial banana flavor, and those orange marshmallow "peanuts" are better if that's what you're after. And those always struck me as quite odd. They're ORANGE colored, PEANUT shaped and BANANA flavored. Some things just can't be explained.

But if we're going for southern gooey-ness you just can't beat a Goo-Goo Cluster. Now THERE's a confection to behold.

somewhere, PA

Hey - we're trying to lose weight here! Don't you know that 99% of America is dieting.
I'm gonna go see what's in the fridge now...

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

And I want a Goo Goo Cluster now. I haven't seen one for years. Do they still make them?

I could settle for a Bing candybar, and I know a convenience store 6 miles away that has those if I could just talk DH into going after one. :)

somewhere, PA

You too? I didn't have anything good in the fridge. Now what?

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

I don't know. DH said he won't go after a candybar. :( I should have thought of something necessary that we need and then ask him to pick up the candybar too, as long as he was going anyway. LOL

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

Goo Goos can be had all over the South...infact, you can buy a 6 pack at the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday nights.

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Maybe they do still sell them here, and I just haven't been looking for them. I'm gonna start though.

Do I feel bad for hijacking this thread? Nope, 'cuz Terry started it. :)

somewhere, PA

Yes - that clever girl thought we'd go for the bait! HUH. Was she ever wrong... er ummm... we did
kinda fall for it didn't we. Hurmpf.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL My pic has been immortalized! I only captured the frame because every time I see something quirky, no one believes me then I can't duplicate it either!

Oh, and don't forget...Dave, Trish and Terry have a secret! Turkeys!

Speaking of dieting, I wonder how my stock at Nutri-System is doing now. ;)

Temecula, CA(Zone 8b)

Wasn't Tab that early diet soda with like six pounds of Saccharine per can?

Fresca was a good one during hot weather as I remember.

We didn't have goo-goos in California as far as I remember, but it could predate me, although not likely....lol.

ahhh.....to wax nostalgic in the moment of cataclysmic change.....I wonder if organisms about to evolve get misty about the good ol' days right before becoming something new? Darwin was indeed right about survival of the fittest Terry.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Weird, I had a streatched out forums tab, so I "tabbed and refreshed" and got Garden Talk.

Rarely see a Goo Goo Cluster around here but have tons of Fresca. Anybody need an emergency shipment? (no icky flavors ~ ack!)

Edited to add: Doesn't every diet need a certain amount of 'bad candy', like Circus Peanuts?

This message was edited Jan 8, 2006 7:12 PM

You mean we can't have em on a diet? I thought they were okay since they had all those "good for you" peanuts in them. LOL
Okay ... back to your regularly scheduled program. ;)

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Diet?!? That's a four-letter word not used in MY house! I was merely referring any good, healthy diet needs some of those....uh... low-brow goodies. ;)

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

Goo Goo Clusters! OMG! They sell them at Econofoods (a local grocery store) 3 boxes for $1.00 and there are 4 clusters to a box. For those that can't add (lol not naming names) that is 12 for a buck. Caramel or Marshmallow!

Man, now I'm gonna have to go back to the store, lol.
