'Truste!' so when is someone gonna ask me what that means?

Phoenix, MD(Zone 7a)

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Kooger, I am waiting!!! it is 11:33 here

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

Maria, I thought u might know - with ur European background. Long form would be in Dutch, 'Wel te rusten' or sleep well - always shortened to 'truste'. :) (spelling could be off)

Darius, and Aria, I am so sadden by your being in the "black hole" and me sitting here not being able to do a thing for either of you. I too deal with this from time to time, and I really know just what it feels like. I can be super okay, and as you said Maria, someone comes along with an off hand remark and pushes me over the edge. I know that it is never intentional, but nevertheless, they don't know how long and hard we labor to be "out" again. So if at any time, you need the provabial shoulder, I've got two of them and they can operate independently of each other. I have found that making myself get out and do something for someone else is a real boost. Something as simple as giving a smile while walking down the street. We don't know what that other person is going through so a smile just might make their day.

Julie, you CANNOT leave this group in a lurch. Don't you even think of it. Whatever would we do without you. I for one do read every word posted. I-like you sometimes forget what I wanted to comment on by the time I get to the end. But I am interested in what is going on in everyone's everyday existence.

Babs and Sarv, are you all trying to outdo me in the cleaning department. Babs you sound like a dynamo. And the Thanksgiving dinner you prepare for other folks just blew me away. If my house were bigger, I would invite everyone I know to dinner. Just love to entertain. I am trying to make up for the years that I didn't have the room (gallery kitchen) so am doing better in that department

Drinking and Driving is one of my pet peeves. NO ONE should ever do that. I have 1 son and I have lost count of the times that he has been caught and arrested for that. That is not counting the times that he has made it home without getting stopped. I agree, maybe the courts should sentence these folks to ride with the EMS to see the results of their irresponsible behavior. I drink some, but when I do, I am home or there is a safe way to get home. We practice designated drivers in this area. The only safe thing to do.

BetsyBug, so sorry that you are not feeling better. Do not take no for an answer, just demand that he fix it and fix it now!! No use to suffer for an additional amount of time when it could all be over so quickly.

DaisyRuffles, I am insanely jealous of your "potting parties" Sheesh, I would work like a slave to get the haul that you got.

Mary, Thanks for the horse pictures, that was great. Did you say you were making granola, care to share the recipe for that. I have a breakfast bar that I make that is soooooo good. I buy Nature Valley products, and my favorite is the Sweet & Salty almond.

Viola Ann, don't you just hate making speeches? I used to have to do that about once a week, and I have found that the sure ice breaker is to tell a silly joke at the beginning. Something that you can tie your message in with. (Boy was that grammar poor) Ah well, you know what I mean.

Okay hap, where are you going? Patti, I saw you lurking, come on in and comment.

Okay any real takers on a RU for this group? Why don't we try to figure out the central point in the US for those interested and try to get together, where it would be about the same travel distance for all?

Meezer, your cat pictures just broke me up. Some mornings I can't get Mr. B (Jack Russell) out of bed, other mornings, he can't get me out of bed.!! I had a very traumatic experience with siamese many years ago, and I admire them from afar.

Okay, Balvanie, where are you and what have you done today?

I went for my tests today and the upper appendage test was even more uncomfortable that I remembered. And they even had a new machine!!

Well speaking of Mr. B. he is sitting at my feet stareing at me, so that means it is time to go to bed.

So Good night one and all, It is my deepest prayer that we all awake without aches and pains, having slept the sleep of children and instilled with renewed spirits to conquer the new day.

Jacqueline Saburido was a beautiful young woman involved in a traffic accident caused by a young man that had been drinking and chose to drive. She is now on the poster for the Texas Department of Transportation "Don't Drink and Drive" campaign. This poster should be nation wide - not just in Texas.

Hi kids, been out building a fence with the neighbor. The ground must have hardened because I know digging post holes here 20 years ago wasn't as hard as it was today. Hope to have it finished tomorrow, and puppy-proofed. Rain hampered the last bit but it was far enough along to keep Tinker from wandering off.

Defoe, sorry the new machine wasn't more people friendly, but glad you're abreast of the situation.

So many things to comment on that I'm at a loss for where to start, so I won't. Just wish you all a good nights sleep and awakening in the morning with the sunlight in your face and a smile on your lips.

First one up again!! This must be a record!

Today is the first day back at the workout joint in 5 days - I am sure I will really be huffing and puffing. But it was good to be home and accompolish so much!

Wow, were those stuffed peppers ever good last night- I have enough for lunch today too! Can't wait until noon!

defoe- ohhhh those sweet and salty granola bars are my absolute downfall. I bought a huge box at Sam's and single handedly ate the whole thing. I was averaging 4 a day...bad girl. I can't even have them in the house.

VI - oh my gosh, giving speeches is my nightmare. I hate doing that type of stuff. Panic attack waiting to happen for me!! But I was up in front of a bunch of third graders for years and thought nothing of it. That (public speaking) is something I avoid at all costs! But I do admire those who do it!

Darius - your brugs look good!!! Can you leave them outside all year where you live? I have to dig mine up and let them go dormant then replant in the spring. It is getting to be a big job dragging them all inside, plus a major mess too! What's the status of the new heater - installed?

Oh, here's a good one. We have a little local paper that is just a gossipy thing, but everyone loves it. However their editing department is the pits. Just recently they had a big headline 'TOYS FOR TITS!' LOL LOL Another time they had a pic of a couple that had been married for eons and were having an open house - under the pic they had 'your PRESENTS wanted" another LOL. I've always thought about sending them on to David Letterman. I can hardly wait to read it each week.

Time for my morning fix of peanut butter on bread...

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

I'm up too! Have a good day all!!

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Good Morning, everyone! Sarv, you crack me up with your 'Little paper' wish I'd get that, can see why you like it .

Kooger, I can undeerstand some dutch when reading it but not when spoken but could not get this abbv. in german it woud be ' gut rasten' or 'gut schlafen" Linquistics was a fascinating course I took so many years ago, I could see how languages are related to each other as in 'gut' = 'good', 'schlafen'= 'sleep' the P became an F much later from the latin. enough do not want to bore you, :-)

Defoe, that is how it usually happens some thoughtless unexpected remark does it.. Over a year ago a neighboe said to me in front of my husband, ' you look like hell, Maria, somrthing like the cat dragged in' Of course I did I was exhausted taking care of DH but he
heard it and said much later to me, you should have told her that she looks the same. He was
hurt because he new what he was looking at was not the way he was used to. Oh well.... but I was in that hole any way could not go down any further.
Did I ever have a good sleep, woke up just a little while ago after
8 hours of solid sleep with the help of medicine, feel so much better except I did takes me for ever to write this, have to get up every few minutes to walk trying to relax my back..
Today is the 6th day of constant rain, this is unheard of in New England where the weather constantly changes, this is enough to depress any one.

Same person said that something like that to me yesterday, O fcourse I looked awful withat cold and back ache.
Maria
