Well, I am up, since 5:00 a.m. Arm hurting, so finally just got up. Darius don't feel bad about the "too many bushes" I had to go back and read until I found that. What other subliminal messages have been inserted into our chat? Loved Roberts "overcame being unable to walk and talk|" and "born at an early age". Weren't we all?

Had some rain overnight, and it has turned chilly also. I don't mind the temperature drop, as last night at 10:00, we were still at 81. This will make it easier to get out and finish cleaning up the garden. Hope to be able to do some of that today between all the running I have to do.

Going to go check some other forums that I didn't have time to do last night. Will check in again later.

defoecat, I'm up too and can't sleep. Been up since 0320. Would you like to come over for a cuppa and a scone or two? Might as well gab since we can't sleep.

It's been raining most of the night so I won't have to worry about watering the plants :-) I've got a few errands to attend to today, but otherwise, I hope to finish the comforter I'm putting together for my brother-in-law. It's his birthday on the 18th and I want to get it done for him. I worked on it for an hour already this morning, so I'm taking a break.

I hope all you GOBS abd GOBettes have a wonderful day today. Many blessings on all.

|Thanks for the invite Babs, already had my quota of coffee for the day. Yes it would be nice to have a "warm body" to talk to when sleep eludes. I just read or post on DG. Sometimes will do book work, like paying bills or balancing checkbook. Today, I have read the entire paper and am starting breakfast for those layabouts in the house.

Awoke @ 3:00 for some reason and couldn't go back to sleep. Had to get up @ 3:33, make a pot of coffee and have a bowl of bite size Shredded Wheat. Tinker ate all of her breakfast up right off the bat which is unusual for her. There is this "thing" about time that bangs around in my head over which I seem to have no control. First, I'm almost fanatical about being on time. A 5:28 appointment happens AT 5:28 not a minute before or after, secondly, waking up and looking at the clock and seeing all 3 digits the same, ie. 1:11, 2:22 etc. means something propitious is going on. Silly, but here I am, up and running at 3:33 in the morning, not knowing what the heck I'm doing here instead of in a nice warm bed!
Got the AAA packet yesterday for the trip to pick up the puppy. Those folks sure do a great job. Called them on the toll-free line and described the trip and within a couple days had the route mapped out, 2 road maps for the whole northwest and a local map for Boise and adjacent metro areas. Also a tour guide for Idaho and the surrounding states.
Good news/bad news on the knee. X-ray showed cartilage about gone but nothing serious beyond plain old arthritis and inflammation in the "slot" the kneecap rides in. Bad news, but not really bad, is pills 3 times a day along with ice packs and exercises over a period of time will make it all better. Hate to lose all that time when I could be up on the ladders again replacing the ceiling and getting the garden ready for winter.

defoe, can't they do anything about your arm ? Cortisone shots have done wonders for my shoulders over the past 20 years, and some relief in the knees. Your dgd's comment was very insightful wasn't it. Sometimes the children see more than we give them credit for. As to the grocery shopping, boy what a load that must have been. I do all the grocery shopping here and enjoy it. More fun roaming up and down the aisles looking for stuff I didn't know existed, munching on samples, squeezing the Charmin and sometimes even having a Starbucks Mocha.

Darius, I'm utterly blown away by the diversity and technical expertise you display. Any pictures of that Dream Kitchen ? One of my many fantasies is building a great kitchen, then putting a house around it.

Sarv, about the white morning glories, we have them all over the place. Wild things, and really a pest. Hard to get rid of too. One neighbor on the back lets that area along the fence go wild and the MG climb over everything. I keep spraying with weed killer but they keep coming.

Time for another cup of coffee. DW is due to get up soon as this is a work day for her. Paper should be here by now too and the crossword awaits.

Lol Bal - I do the same thing with the clock 3:33, 1:23, 6:78 Isn't that crazy! I also count windows.... also have a funny thing with license plates - must be two of us are plum crazy!!

I don't think my MG are the wild kind - I bought them LOL They are about 6 inches across. I kinda like them as nothing else is blooming at the moment and they are just kicking into bloom!

Gorgeous rainbow and man oh man, love your dahlias!!! I have several, but like my brugs, I don't keep the names straight other than -yellow-pink etc.

Babs - I'll be over for a scone and a cuppa. Sounds yummy. I had left over scalloped pot/ham - they were even better the second day!!

DH and I cracked open one of the 28 qts of grape juice - man was it good. Tastes just like welch's!! The only thing I don't like is the color of my teeth afterwards! Maybe I could try sipping it with a straw- LOL

I've been popping one aleve in the morning and I can really tell a difference in my shoulder. Doesn't seem to bother my stomach as much as the relefan did.

Well, not much new in this neck of the woods. I was going to paint my garden shelves today, but I think the cold weather put a hault on that. Next week it's supposed to warm up.

Gotta go for now- take care all
