Diane, I'll save you some cape honeysuckle and daylilies. I don't know yet which daylilies I'll be digging up, but they are all named and there will be some bright colors. I'll post a list of the specific daylilies as it gets closer to the big day.

San Jose, CA

bncybncytigger: ok, have you down for penstemon midnight.

Santa Cruz, CA(Zone 9a)

thank you MMQC

PotEmUp, I don't know if you are starting more than one of each hibiscus, but I would love one of "The Path" and "Itsy-Bitsy Kona Princess". Would also love the Sempervivum arachnoideum 'Cebenese' and Sempervivum tectorum 'Grenii'.

Doh! There's my problem, I wasn't scrolling back up to see the additions and changes.

PotEmUp, I too would love some
Kalanchoe manginii
Passioflora edulis 'Frederick'
and the Fuchsia 'Autumnale' we talked about to get that inspiring hanging planter going
and Ledebouria socialis

I will soon take my inventory and cuttings and make a list too.

Discovery Bay, CA(Zone 9b)

Margie, you're looking for red and rainbow? Not sure how far along the rainbow will be in rooting, but I did pot a couple last week. So here's what I have:

picturelady: red and rainbow Plumerias for Maya and Equador Pink
jerodsmom: rainbow for L'amour?
hanna1: red for ? Not sure if we crossed wires on that or not.

I'll also bring some other color Plumerias. Also going to start some Passiflora coral glow. Never propagated this plant before, so we'll see how successful I am.

San Jose, CA

My goodness, reading this thread I wonder how you guys are able to keep track of who gets what and what is coming to you!

Since the good stuff is all spoken for already, I'll just take the leftovers!

Forgot to mention, will be dividing a large clump of Crocosmia 'Solfaterre', if anyone is interested?

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

Edith...I was wondering the same thing, until I got busy and started writing things down...I wonder if there is an easier way ?!

Castro Valley, CA(Zone 9a)

By editing you post, You can can write down: plants for trade to recipient, then the plants that are promissed to you. If that is still confusing, let me know by email, there are a couple like that above, it is difficult, and all the goods things are not gone, ask for what you may want, each person probably has more than one in that category, and also will bring in more, let us know what you are looking for, and we just may have extras for you, hurrah!!!

Another note about trades: At the SoCal RU, many brought unrooted cuttings made the week or day of RU (thank you Annie for all the cacti and succulent pieces), and some were brought rooted in water or styro cups. Many rooted divisions were dug just prior to RU and transported in boxes, etc. Takes the pressure off of having to transport a ton of pots, especially if your vehicle is cramped for room. At the rate you're all trading, this might be a consideration. I have an SUV and I learned alot from that first RU on how to do it in the future, i.e. styro cups with holes punched in bottom; rootings in plastic soda bottles (both very lightweight), etc. all things you probably already do LOL. I just got so excited getting my trades together, some practical things escaped my notice. The excitement tends to get contagious in the final days. . . and you're gonna have such fun!!

Santa Cruz, CA(Zone 9a)

Hey Janet

thanks for the info on the cups and bottles, i had not thought of that and was thinking i would soon have to go out and buy plant pots to put them all in.

Great idea.

Castro Valley, CA(Zone 9a)

Oh no, no need to buy pots, whatever you have handy, old plastic ones you've saved, styrofoam cups, seed starting moss pots, etc
Annie

Huntington Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Jumping in here for just a reminder.

Don't forget to put the plants name in the plant or write the name on the outside on the pot, cup or whatever.
If the plant is not in a container, just wrap a piece of tape around it and write on the tape. I did this with some Amarylis bulbs I brought.

Annie, would love to get your Passiflora Vitifolia.

Castro Valley, CA(Zone 9a)

Ok Sue, no problem, they are growing like weeds, LOL,
Annie

Santa Cruz, CA(Zone 9a)

Annie

If these grow like weeds, can i perchance ask for 3 if you have that many. I have tried to get my neighbours plant to root, but to no avail :(

I have a large area and i need to have a fast growing plant to grow over to use as a privacy screen, so i do not have to look at cars headlights..

Thanks Diane

San Jose, CA

hanna1, i'd like a passiflora vitifolia too. :) i had one before but it didn't make the winter. what happens to yours in the winter? does it lose its leaves or is it evergreen?

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

hanna....I would love to get a passiflora vitifolia from you also...

Thanks, Margie

Castro Valley, CA(Zone 9a)

I planted them in early Spring, and growing like crazy, I've never tried to do cuttings, but there's always a first time! My newest is Red!! Not much growth yet, but never know I may try cuttings of that one also!
Annie

Castro Valley, CA(Zone 9a)

bump

Castro Valley, CA(Zone 9a)

Oh Goodness **BUMP**

Where is everyone????? I will be on vacation next week, so will not be available, but hope many more folks will be coming!!!!
Annie

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

For those who had plants reserved for me, I now won't be able to make it after all. :-(
Perhaps I can still get those trades if I donate some plants for lilystorm and picturelady to bring for me and they can collect the ones I wanted. LMK

mmqc, I got your fucshia from Annie's, it's already repotted in a 1 gal and growing nicely.

Castro Valley, CA(Zone 9a)

Sure is quiet in this thread!
Is everyone consumed with Kathrina like We have been, I've been crying my eyes out and not paying much attention to DG this week,
Annie

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

picturelady, I do have a var. fushia set aside for you.
mmqc I have a Brug. ambrosia set aside for you. Yes, I do think it is worth growing
because although it is white, it has a nice shape and was the first brug. in my garden this year to set blooms.

cfarm. I have you down for a Brug. L'amour

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

Hanna1, I would love your lobelia excelsia and passiflora vitafolia if they are still available. I will have an assortment of brugs. available.

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

Patricia...Great ! Your Pink Floyd is rooted and even has a new bud !

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

PINK FLOYD?!! Pictures! No, better not, I have cuttings coming and right now I am mad at two loaded with spider mites. Not happy with brugs right now, oh, well, except my fully loaded doublw white that smells so lushiuos.

Castro Valley, CA(Zone 9a)

I've not tried to start the Lobelia, don't know how to do it, I don't see any seeds inside the pods either! The branches are pretty hard and thick. I will pick more of the Passifloras and hope they take,
Annie

Fremont, CA(Zone 9a)

Hanna1, bring a few cuttings of the lobelia and I will try out the "Rapid Rooters." I will bring some along to share.

San Jose, CA

i'm not going to be able to make it to the roundup. is there someone from the san jose area that can bring the plants up to the swap for me? there's only just a few things..

picturelady & bncybncytigger: sorry, i won't be able to provide the penstemons... it got hot and they didn't get enough water. :( maybe you can get some from hanna1.
