Maas Nursery tour.

Mansfield, TX(Zone 8a)

Maggiemoo, drdon & Pamtannia are coming to visit you! We have to have pictures of that get together. Y'all have loads of fun.

Conroe, TX(Zone 9a)

You bet there will be LOTS of pics!! I'm so excited about their visit!

I hope there will be plenty of pics of this Maas trip. If I can't be there in person, I would like to take a virtual tour!

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Maggie,

We can go now that it is cool. I am sure others will come.

lol

Conroe, TX(Zone 9a)

I sure wish I could be in two places at once! Would love to be there to meet you!

Ligonier, PA(Zone 6a)

Hey Trois. I'll be coming and bringing 2 or 3 other gardeners with me. We are really looking forward to seeing you and meeting all the other gardeners.
margie

Santa Fe, TX(Zone 9b)

Great! I was getting worried for a bit there.

trois

Ligonier, PA(Zone 6a)

Been so busy with the MG sale and our upcoming plant swap. The time seems to be getting away from me. I will need a breather and this Sat should do the job. Food, plants, and good gossip. What more could one ask for. Wouldn't miss it for anything.

Ligonier, PA(Zone 6a)

By the way I started a new forum for the upcoming Galveston County Plant swap. You may want to check it out.

Meadows Place, TX(Zone 9a)

Maggie, what will Amelia and I do without you. ;o(

You wil be sorely missed, Wonder Woman !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm borrowing my Dad's digital camera

Conroe, TX(Zone 9a)

Oh good! Between your camera and Trois's, there should be plenty of coverage. Just don't get so ga-ga over the plants that you forget to snap the pics, lol!

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

No picture of me Please.

I am not heavy for my height, I am too short for my weight...

Ewes not fat...Ewe's just fluffy

Santa Fe, TX(Zone 9b)

A lot of us are not exactly thin. I know I'm not.

Conroe, TX(Zone 9a)

Amen, Sandy! I always say that I'm the perfect weight for 5'11". I'm just missing about 8".

But hey, like trois said, most people are not exactly models. There are plenty of pictures out there of most of us in our "normalness", so just join the crowd!
:-)

Ligonier, PA(Zone 6a)

My grandkids love laying all over me. I ask one of them why. She says it's because I'm so cushion-e. I knew all this extra weight was good for something.

Ligonier, PA(Zone 6a)

Trois: What about water, paper plates, silverware, and etc.? I can bring paper towels and plates if you want.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

I heard on the radio this morning that being over weight and aging brings causes dementia. I have never seen the movie 50 first dates. But the girl has reacurrent amnesia and they have 50 dates and they are all the first one to her as she can't remember the last. So the way I figure I'm not giving up chocolate because sounds cool that every day I would see my flowers for the first time. hehehehehe LOL

This is just like bacon causes cancer. If you eat 60 lbs a day??? Who thinks they know our future.

I really want to come Sat. I hope DS doesn't call to get me to have the girls. I can't say no to my angel and my punkin. It gives me chills.
We have them every second or 3rd weekend. And my Punkin turned
3 Saturday and my Angel turns 5 thrus. They will call me and tell me they have their toys packed. I would bring them but 2 is way to hard.
They are really good it is me that has never learned to do 2.

ALSO the adjuster is suppose to come Sat. Pray he pays for what is covered without question. Not sure what I will bring for lunch.
Should we have a list for what is being brought for the covered dish?
Could be all dessert. *Hint* *Hint* ;o)

Santa Fe, TX(Zone 9b)

I will bring deviled eggs. Sunnytx paper plates and towels, I will bring water. We need some suggestions.
If you have special needs or diet, bring just for yourself.
trois

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

I am on a seefood diet. I see food I eat it.

and my needs are sweet stuff. LOL

I can make macaroni salad.

Conroe, TX(Zone 9a)

You guys are making me hungry...

Santa Fe, TX(Zone 9b)

That sounds great.
Can someone bring ice for the drinks?

Meadows Place, TX(Zone 9a)

I'm not a big eater but I'll sign up for the ice. I've got a cooler that will hold enough.

Woopee, I just notice that I'm the 100th post here. Where's my prize ?????????

Ligonier, PA(Zone 6a)

While I'm at it I'll bring dip and crackers to. I'm not a cook. My dear hubby does it all.

Conroe, TX(Zone 9a)

Sorry, your potentially prize-winning 100th post was nullified when you edited your message.
;-p

Meadows Place, TX(Zone 9a)

Maggie,

PFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTT !

;o)~

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

I will be 1 if I can make it. I really want to.

I would guess that may leave:

something for sandwiches

bread

plastic forks, spoons?

cups

anything else?

Not trying to jump in on someone else. Just suggesting. LOL

Santa Fe, TX(Zone 9b)

Suggestions we need. The hurricanes kind of got in the way so we are late with some of this. I will call Maas this morning and find out if cooking is a possibility there. If so, I can bring a few pounds of catfish to deep fry. Then we would need some hush puppies and coleslaw.
I will call them early and post the results.

trois

Santa Fe, TX(Zone 9b)

OK, I talked to Maas and there is no outlet at the picnic area for cooking. We will bring a Salmon salad in addition to the deviled eggs. It is great for sandwiches.

If you have trouble finding the place, Maas phone number is 281-474-2488. They can help you find the place from wherever you are.
Our cell number is 409-771-7008.

trois

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I'll bring some fresh veggies - carrots, cukes, tomatoes, celery & maybe some cheese.

Santa Fe, TX(Zone 9b)

Great! It's starting to sound like a feast!

Dallas, TX

ohhh mercy...i am so sad and so hungry...did some one mention fried cat fish?
Sylvia

Santa Fe, TX(Zone 9b)

No can do the catfish as there is no place to cook, so we will bring Salmon Salad for sandwiches. Plus deviled eggs and a lot of other good stuff.
Change your mind yet? Bring your brother?

trois

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

sedrick,

Since Rita has wiped out the shingles on my roof, we have a 1200 dollar deductible (IF) insurance pays, and 80% of my plants, I can't buy 1 plant, But I can have fun. Hope I am not depressed after the adjuster comes at 9 Sat. morn.

Is your brother coming? I know it is not much but I will give you 5.00
toward your gas. That might get you 3 miles in a volkswagen. :o)
I am serious. I will. Not much but would love to meet you.

I AM HOPING TO COME even if you have to take pictures of the good year blimp. :o) I am 5' tall and 10 ' wide. Hope you have a wide angle lense. LOL

Conroe, TX(Zone 9a)

Awww, I sure wish I was going to be there! I really do hope your ins adjuster will take good care of you, I will be praying for you.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

thank you maggie,

They naever have. Hav 2 mold water damage claims 3 years ago.
They did not pay.

Our sewer line not city backed up ino our house last Nov. And we are still wrestling with them on that.

Now this. Please pray hard. We need this fixed or we will let her go back. We have no other alternative. We had to declare bankruptsy
2 yrs ago because we were losing our home. In March I forgot to mail our house note and figured In a week I would just send both. Well due to alot going on and my oldest brother dying from Lou Gehrigs, I forgot and some from here paid my way to see him.
While I was there Mortgage company filed with bankruptsy court to take it back. My DH called and when I realized he mailed it.They did not cancel the court date. We ended up paying their lawyers 750 dollars. and our Lawyer we owe 250 dollars. They did not care to listen or check it was paid. The Judge declared If we are late just late 2 more times it is theirs.

I am disabled and workers comp dr said back to work but I can only lift up to 15 lbs must be sedentary job (sitting on my behind) with a 20 min brakes every hour. Who would hire me? Unless they were a DGer. BUT because of all the the meds I take I am not gainfully employable. Social Security denied me because I did not work enough quarters. I was a stay at home mom.

Not whining just need them to give me a break. DO NO GET ALLSTATE INS.
The funniest part of allstate? Our agents name is Joe Sapp. That cracks me up. He fits it. ROTFLOL :O)

Start watching peoples names that do things. The guy who killed his pregnant wife. Can't think of his first name, Last name Hacker.
At the pain place I go to there is a Dr. Doctor. I have seen more but can not think of them. When you watch the news, you will pick up on it now I said something, you won't believe when you hear it.

Conroe, TX(Zone 9a)

I really will be praying for you. I hope you're able to have a good time at Maas. Meeting everyone is always fun, you will really enjoy Trois and his DW Betty, Kip (if he behaves, lol), and Amelia. I haven't gotten to meet sunnytx or flowerette yet, hope to be able to sometime before too long. I'm not sure who else is coming, some indicated quite a while ago that they would be there.

I hope you all will have a grand time, and don't forget to take plenty of pictures!
:-)

edited to correct spouse gender, lol!

Unless I have a VA appmt or a tater run I willl shut down my business.
-
Please advise!

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Is that because it is a business? Did you apply to fema? Fema also does small business loans. I know alot more people are worse off than me. We need a new roof and the rest is minor except for the money of course. I am so sorry. I would love to meet you.

I am still helping others. 5.00 here and there adds up for them.

What kind of business do you have? Do you sell taters? Where is San Jacinto County?

If they don't pay a huge blue tarp will work for me. I wrote in another thread I would call it "Nunya" blue. And if anyone complains I will tell them it is "Nunya Business"

Is there anything you need immediately? Maybe I could share what I have. I would like to. I have gotten no help but what I have I would love to share.

I will pray for you.

Blessings,
Sandy ^8^
