Twisted Round Robins - Part 4

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

I still have the Robin, and it is ready to go as soon as I have the $ to mail it...that should happen tomorrow, or Monday at the latest. Sorry to have taken so long. I hosted an exchange of rose cuttings Saturday, and that took a big chunk of my time...there were lots of goodies in the box, and I added a lot more, so the box is stuffed with seeds! The next person is : MDREAMS01
you will have it soon!

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

I will try to get the Robin I have out on Monday. If I am reading this right...ZZ would be next, but wants it later rather than sooner (Welcome Back ZZ!!!) so I am sending mine to Kooger...right...and Kooger is to skip TMorton...right? So we can add ZZ to the list somewhere near the top??? Where would you like to be ZZ? I will put your name back on the list...just let me know...I was hoping to get this out sooner, but of course my marn MS hasn't been very cooperative! I hate it when that happens! LOL But I will get it ready to go tomorrow so it will be flying on Monday! Have a great week everyone!

Thanks Melva, Will be looking out for the box, this is turning out to be a great Birthday gift . What could be better than going thru this super seed box. Have to tell kids not to bug me if it gets here on Friday of this week .This is great !!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I think you've got it figured out, Janet! Why don't you just move ZZtopsoil to the end of the list for now, and if he is ready before that he can post and whoever has it can get it to him... same for the forward robin, please put ZZ's name at the end of the list for now.

ZZ, whenever you are ready, we will bump your name to be the robin's next stop(s)!

Kooger, could you edit the list at the top of the thread to reflect the various changes? I'm losing track! Thanks.

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

how's that? :)

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Thanks! If we forgot anybody's request to be moved around, just say the word.

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

I do not want my name on the list anymore. Hope this helps to be removed from the reverse robin as I am not wanting the box again. Thanks

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

I mailed the box out on Tuesday, so Kooger should have it real soon..let me know when it arrives, okay. I have a confirmation number somewhere, so if you don't get it in the next day or so I will check it out...this was great fun!!! Thanks so much for all the work and the wonderful seeds everyone shared with me!

Willoughby, OH(Zone 5a)

Any news? Things sure have slowed down considerably since the beginning of this. We've gone from turning it around in 2 days to 2 weeks.

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

Kooger, have you received the RR yet? If not I will check the confirmation number out and see what happened to it...I was certain you would have received it by now...

Maben, MS(Zone 7b)

Please remove my name from the list, I have all the seeds from the forward RR that I got to late to plant this spring and I would ofcourse find some more I wanted.

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Melva - sorry thought you had sent it off (I dont check this often) - so MD get ready!

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

Yup, sorry for not posting, been a very busy week. The box is ready to go but the roll of tape went on a walk-about since Sunday and I have searched high and low and not brought it to roost yet. grrrr! Gonna go pick up a new roll tmr after work. lol

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

I hate it, when Tape, etc. goes on walk about...they just never return when you want them to...yours will return, once you get more tape!

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

Yup, I'll get a new roll tmr and find the old one on Sat. How much ya wanna bet?

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

Ha! found a substitute! what's a good use for left over duct tape? yup!! works great, plan to get it in the mail tmr after work.

Such a neat looking car. They sure took their time to do the stipes perfectly. I wonder if they get pulled over and have to show the registration if the color will match the description given. LOL

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

Gotta admit I appreciate their work much more after taping up two boxes with duct tape - it was a lot harder to keep that tape straight that regular tape. I got all the seeds into a smaller box, they're packed in tighter, and it only cost $4.90 - quite a bit less than the flat rate box. Should be in TN by Mon. or Tues. :)

Westmoreland, TN(Zone 7a)

Who's got the forward robin these days? Seems like it was getting close to me a month ago.

San Jose, CA(Zone 9b)

Yes, Kathy, it's getting very exciting. I'm the third after you. I'm hoping to have seeds in time to plant this fall and I have lots of goodies ready to add to the box.

Willoughby, OH(Zone 5a)

Well,don't hold your breath.

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

It is going very very slow... really flew fast at first but now fading quickly...

Wichita, KS

Yes, very slow.
What do you think happened?

I am getting my seeds ready.
Waiting in anticipation, Nikki

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

I think it is to long so people dont feel under the gun to be on time . . . just my guess that or the Post Office just keeps our Robin longer!

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

Hello All,
Wanted to let you know I recieved the forward Robin Tuesday and as soon as I get car back will be going out hopefully tomarrow. Lots of interesting seed in here will be adding a few also .
Have a great day.

Fenton, MO(Zone 5b)

Well, when someone holds it 3 weeks, I guess I can't expect it to move very fast.

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Meow - remember, this is for fun...and sometimes people have things going on that interupt fun and games. Besides, I think early on we were making more of a push so people could get their planting in. Now we can relax because most people won
t be planting for a while.

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Fall planting is full swing for those of us who can. Three weeks is a very long time to hold onto the box no matter how you look at it.

Wichita, KS

WooHoo
Maybe I will get one in time for Winter Sowing!

My intention wasn't to sound mean earlier - just sitting here waiting with anticipation...LOL

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Hey, 'spuds! You are personally responsible for putting smiles on MANY peoples faces this summer. That Brandy Boy Tomato has kicked all the other tomatoes in the pants to become my #1 all time fave...ok, it's tied for first plae with the Rose. Just an awesome, all-american true tomato taste, in a jumbo tomato. Picked my first on August 7, and still have a couple out there that I'm hoping will have time to ripen. I'm watching them closely, though, as they tend to go from green to ripe to rot in mere moments. (I pulled a 14 ouncer off on Monday for Fried Green Tomatoes, and it was still impressive. Can't thank you enough for your generosity with you seeds in our trade.

What do you winter sow, and when do you start? I dug up all of my pepper plants yesterday and tucked them into the tmporary greenhouse where I will spray them and give them a good soil rinse before I bring them into the sunroom. The only other veggies I do well with indoors are greens and herbs. I find if I try to winter sow I get very leggy plants, even though I have tons of sun coming in from 3 sides. Would love to hear what you do!

San Jose, CA(Zone 9b)

Good news, our bird is in flight again. Life happens and what a great opportunity to be in such a HUGE round robin! On the bright side of shipping later, I bet there are lots of seeds that would not have been harvested earlier. I'm pulling new stuff daily.

~Enjoy!

San Jose, CA(Zone 9b)

*bump* any word on our forward Robin? I am planning to do lots of winter sowing this year to give my back a break in the spring. Anyone else still planting this year?

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

I am - and I am waiting to finish until I get the forward Robin.... I hope!

Fenton, MO(Zone 5b)

MDREAMS got it on the 11th of October. Not sure if its been sent to Kviolette yet though.

Yes, I'm goin to do some fall planting. I have some peony bushes in pots that need to be put in the ground. Also have some tiger lilies to set also.

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Well anyone know MDreams? Anyone know how to get in contact with her?
