Twisted Round Robins - Part 4

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

I would!!! I think I can keep it in the shade and it will make it.... I just love Shastas!

Willoughby, OH(Zone 5a)

any word on who has it?

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

Who has the reverse Robin now? Did Flowernutt get it yet? It has been a while since we had word on that one...just checking in..Have a great week everyone!

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Gosh that reverse is sure slow isn't it?

Tulsa, OK(Zone 7a)

where is list for reverse like to be prepared.. ?/ i have asked.? no word on it though..

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

The list for the reverse is the same list as for the forward twisted robin, only reversed, and I think a couple of people in the forward robin asked to be taken off the list for the reverse, so it's a little shorter. (The official list is in the box for the reverse robin, so you won't have to guess who is or isn't on the list when you get it, except that I don't think we've heard from ZZ yet, so we're skipping him for now.)

Go to the list at the top of the thread, start at the bottom and read up for the order in which the reverse robin is traveling. Tazzy is after kareoke and Raven_Locks.

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

Well, the way I am reading this, the reverse robin was in Wisconsin on Aug, 8, so what has happened to it? Has anyone talked to Tami? (Flowernutt) Is it still sitting in the post office for some reason? That is a long time....anyone?

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

It seems to me it's been a while since I've seen posts from her, but I certainly don't check all the forums. However, it's been a while since she started a thread, and I noticed she didn't post about getting the forward robin, although she did send it along to Amy. Maybe she no longer has internet access? Janet, you might try snail mailing her to see if everything's OK... her address is in the exchange.

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

I will do that tomorrow...it has just been so long...and Tami has been good about getting things done in the past, so that is not like her. Hope everything is okay with her!

Tami (AKA: Flowernutt)'s computer went Kab-blooey too!

ok thanks i did not asked to be taken off reverse but not on ?/ ok??

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I'm confused.... I had to look back to the second thread on the twisted robin before I found your Dname, Twyla... Had you maybe asked to be taken off the list for the forward robin? If so, I'm not sure if your name made it onto the reverse robin list either. I haven't received the reverse box yet of course, so I don't know if your address was on the list in the box. We may have to wait until the reverse robin surfaces again to check.

Hope43 was originally before eskieleia on the forward robin list, so maybe when the reverse robin surfaces she could be added to the list in the reverse box, if her name isn't already there.

Hopefully, everything is OK with Tami, and Janet will soon have the reverse box.

Tulsa, OK(Zone 7a)

yes i was taken off it when Tazzy got it as . i looked thru it with her.. its on that paper..

San Jose, CA(Zone 9b)

Is there any word on the forward Robin? I see Naturewalker (Robin ) received it on 8/12, but don't know where it is now. It's like being a kid at Christmas - I can hardly wait! I've been putting lots of seed goodies aside in anticipation.

No Robin yet and no word from Tami...Hope she is okay...anyone know?

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Tami's computer is out I think - try to get ahold of avallidis or we could call Tami

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8b)

It took Nature Walker over 2 weeks to turn around the other part of this robin. Maybe she had the same problems getting it sent out this time. At least she did tell us she has received it.

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Sometimes life makes it hard to move quickly, dont worry about her she is a wonderful trader and will more then make up any time lost with lots of great seeds.

Yes loudigger,

Well, the eye infection is gone. But my vision is on the poor side now, but as good as it's going to get .

I went to see an opthamologist/surgeon on 8/15 & 8/22, and found out that I now have premature cataracts (from my diabetes over the past 20 years); hemorrhaging; and aneurisms (which are both signs of the onset of glaucoma). In both eyes!

So I won't be doing as much yacking in the forums anymore. But I very much hope I'll be able to do some more gardening over the next few years; before the blindness actually happens.

On 8/24, I was told that I have H. Pylori. Taking massive doses of 'Biotics & other drugs to help get rid of it

I'll send it out on this Monday..... (insert Murphy's Law here.)

Robin, I'm so sorry to hear that your eyesight is threatened. How awful for you. I'm praying you'll have many years of gardening ahead of you yet, and that you'll be able to continue to chat on DG. I always enjoy your posts.
Hugs, Maggi xxxx

Dear Robin, I pray for your eyes to be healthy and your vision good. We hope to have you around Dave's for many, many years to come.

Naturewalker,
My husband had a detached retina last year. He went completely blind in a matter of seconds in his right eye!
Fortunately it was able to be reattached with laser surgery. Really scarey. They put a gas bubble behind the eye to keep the laser attachment in place until it heals. This took three days of laying on his stomach and not being able to sit up except for very short periods of time so the bubble would be in the right position.
He looked like he had been beat up in a fight with his eye looking horrible. When he asked if this was rare the Eye surgeon said no and that it can happen with no reason or warning. Kind of scarey!
Even though he looked horrible he said it did not hurt that much. I had to put drops in his eye three times a day and it made me sick to do it. YUCK!
He also had cataracts removed in both eyes and while they did that they put in prescription lenses so he no longer needs glasses for nearsightedness.
He has glaucoma also and it is treated with drops in both eyes once a day. So with modenr medicine, you will hopefully be good as new once it is all taken care of. He really likes the fact he no longer needs the glasses.
Good luck.

My wishes are with you NatureWalker.. take care of yourself.

I sent the box out the other day to melvatoo in Denton, TX. I've been looking for the Delivery conformation paper; but can't seem to find it. The postal worker filled it out for me and it's with the cash receipt so I'm still looking for it.

Thank you all for being so patient with me. WOW, Windy; thanks for the info. I can only hope it all works out as good for me. Thank you also kathys999.

Mozilla Firefox can increase the text size without expanding the pages' width so I don't have to scroll back and forth on the page. It gets longer instead.

So much for confirmation, I opened my door, to find the mailman had left the robin without letting me know...glad it wasn't plants! Who does it go to, from here?

New York & Terrell, TX(Zone 8b)

It's on the list in the brown manila envelope - Check for Nemisia Melva!

Where is the reverse robin these days?

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

Hi, everyone!
I heard from Tami and she has sent the reverse Robin, should get it this week. Her nine year old daughter took the box when it arrived to her playhouse and she and a friend were going to plant a garden...isn't that just too cute. She didn't even know it was there until her neighbor ask her about the seeds the girls had,,,I told her no plroblem, as I will get it out ASAP.. Her computer is not working so she hasn't been able to keep up with this thread. As soon as I get it I will get it out and going again! Hope everyone has a great week!

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

Boy the things that can go wrong do in a round robin LOL

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

Got the RR today. I will be sending it out ASAP. I will go through it today and try to have it in the mail in the morning. Depending on how I react to my shot tonight..never know how sick it will make me!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I'm glad both robins are back in flight!

Janet, take care of yourself.

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

Thanks Critter!
I am trying to..it is hard not to overdo when I have a "decent" day, then I am down for the count again! LOL But I am trying hard to get some things done outside in the early morning and late evening. Hope to get box out tomorrow along with some of my trades and SASEs...just can't seem to accomplish all I want in one day! I turn around and it is late afternoon and so little has been done! At least my husband is understanding about it..otherwise I don't know what I would do. Good seeds in the RR and a lot of veggie seeds as well.

Janet, I just saw a new thread from Lelan (ZZTopsoil) over on the plant trading forum, so I'm thinking he might be back in the loop.... maybe you could send him Dmail and see if he's ready for the robins?

Willamette Valley-OS, OR(Zone 8a)

Hi Everyone!
Not Back 100% Yet.
Still Working on Alot of Lost Time, Work, and Therapy.
If You Wish to Put Me Back in...that Would be Nice but...
Not Neccessary. Later Would be Better if You Wish to Add Me.
And "Thank You" for the 'E's' Asking About How I am Doing.
You're a Great Bunch of 'Seedy' Little Friends!
And it is Always Good to Know People Out There You Have Never Met...Care.
You're Thoughts and Prayers During My Absence was Truly Appreciated!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

"seedy little friends!" You know, I wouldn't take that from too many folks, LOL... but somehow, from somebody willing to call themselves ZZTopsoil, it's just cute! Take care of yourself, ZZ, and be certain to let us know when you want to jump back in here... I think these birds are going to be flying for a while yet! :-)

Charleston, SC(Zone 8b)

Hi everyone... Though this has been lots of fun, i'd like to remove myself from the reverse robin if not too late. Ive got too much going on at the moment, and low on funds. Thanks
tim
