Dinu, loved the word 'penfriendship'!!

Jianhua, your words are so poetic!

Springfield, OH(Zone 5b)

DItto.. (darius always has the words :)

Fort Pierce, FL(Zone 10a)

Amazing!.....two postings, side by side, one from India ,the other from China, responding to Darius in North Carolina. This is truly a meeting place of friends of the heart.

well I ordered mine,, better late then never !!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Mine came Saturday morning (perfect timing!) so I wore it to our town's annual Jazz & Ribs Fest on the courthouse square.

It's nice and long. The shoulders are broader than mine, so they actually hang a couple inches down over mine, but it fits around the bust and waist where it's important. :D If you ever print up womens t-shirts, I'd buy one.

Great pics, Kim! (What a provocative pose!)

Did anyone ask you about it? My June 21 post on this thread talks about the reactions we got when we did a San Antonio Nursey Date, wearing our t-shirts. One of the guys who works at one of the nurseries has since become a member, is thinking about subscribing now! (Also, Kipper2's friend who came along with us is now a subscriber, and another person who heard me talking about the Nursery Date on the radio that morning became a subcriber!)

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

No, doggone it! No one asked. I was sitting with our friends a good bit of the time, and the rest of the afternoon and evening I was a blur as I went around taking photos at the event.

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

GW,
Thanks for the poses. You were a lot lighter when I last saw your pic sometime ago! Think you've changed those glasses too!

:D

Kimberley, You have lost a lot of weight. How'd you do it? You're lookin' really good ... cute dimples!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Thanks! Howie and I both pretty much follow the American Heart Association nutrition guidelines, and we limit our calories. I have 1500/day and Howie has 1800/day. He's lost 140lbs and I've lost 61lbs. Eating right, well-balanced, we don't really feel deprived, either. And we still have a treat day. :) He has his weight-loss blog at http://thehman.com

Elizabethton (Stoney, TN(Zone 6b)

Wow - you both have done really well! The difference between your beginning weight and the March 15 pictures is just amazing. You truly look like a different person.

I would love to see a July 15 picture. :-)

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

Wow Kim......EXCELLENT!

We noticed a difference just from the Roundup.
Keep it up!

Thanks! I don't want this thread to get too off course. I think we'll post some pictures in the parking lot since you've asked. We still have yet to take them, though. :)

More t-shirts on the loose! Here, at a butterfly gardening class in Austin, TX. (Left to right, the heads belong to Trois (trois) and his DW Barbara.)

Don't you just hate when you hit send instead of preview?

So the Birthday Boy just gets the back of his head posted, LOL. (Just kidding, I knew your intent was the DG shirts!)

Conroe, TX(Zone 9a)

The butterfly class was at The Natural Gardener, our first stop for our Austin Nursery Date. They knew we were coming, and made us feel very welcome.

Here is the thread for the Nursery Date in pictures:

i got my shirt!!! its so soft and comfy!

Conroe, TX(Zone 9a)

I wore one of my DG t-shirts to physical therapy, got the usual question: "Where is Dave's Garden?"

I filled him in, between exercises. At first he said, "Oh, don't tell my wife about that!" By the end he was writing it down to have her look it up. I'll check with him today to see if she's looked in on us yet.

:-)

Springfield, OH(Zone 5b)

Heehe.. I told someone about it on a garden tour.. they are coming also..lol

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Our town has their first downtown farmer's market now, and I wore my DG t-shirt to it last Friday. Just before leaving, I made up some business cards with DG on them, along with Howie's and my names and websites. Boy, did I get a lot of questions! It was great having the cards to hand out, too.

I used Avery DesignPro Limited (free from http://avery.com ) to make them.

How wonderful, Kimberly!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Dave provides the logo on the extra's page, if anyone else wants to do some sort of cards or flyers: http://davesgarden.com/extras.php

Frederick, MD(Zone 6a)

Neat card :)

Conroe, TX(Zone 9a)

Cool! Thanks for the link to the free Avery software. I have a business card formatted already, their software should make it easier to print out correctly.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Kim, you rock, girl! (Ackkkk - I'm starting to sound like my 10 year old!!!!)

Seriously, though...excellent job on the cards and anticipating you'd need 'em. And I saw the photo of the incredible shrinking you - big hugs to you both for the wonderful accomplishment. (((((Kim and Howie))))))).

You know, I'd still recognize that sweet smile even if you become no bigger 'n a bar of soap (as my grandma used to say.)

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Make that a used bar of soap. ;) Thanks, guys!
