I am in love with those big brown eyes! Beautiful little boy, thanks for the photo.
DG T-shirts, Part III
Great pictures all :) I'd love to know who is in the IARU picture. I was thinking that one could put davesgarden.com on a transfer and iron it on :) if they'd like it on their shirt.
And the rest of you have beautiful pictures. Good for you Paulgrow. I did not know your were a columnist for the News Herald. I bet you had a great time.
Kathy
got my shirt today man these guys are fast got a few ebay people id like for them to talk too hehe
Gumla, your son is so precious, such big beautiful eyes!!!!!! Annie
Are the 3XL shirts going to be restocked?
Well I wore mine the first time doing a landscaping job for a local company. I was the 'hired help' - boy that doesn't pay! :) Oh and of course I wore it to Home Depot! Now to wear it to one of the MG meetings...
Oh and I have some for my son to combat the motorcycle t-shirts my dh puts on him!
Nicole
One of the pictures has all the names on it - Peggy's I believe (without looking it up) On the back of the ladybug quilt won by Blaine, made by llilyfan and Peggy(Iowaron's DS), are pictures of the IA RU 2004 and 2003 . Peggy is getting picture 2005 ready for Blaine to add to the back of his quilt. Isn't he lucky?
LouisianaSweetPea, since we still have hundreds of the other sizes left, I don't think we'll be ordering any more for a long time. We still have plenty of 2X's though!
Got ours yesterday. SWEET!
FYI:
Hot Wash/Hot Rinse/Hot Dryer
shrinks them down to a more normal size. lol
Artwork came thru this perfectly.
Thats good to know Henry, the size I bought for myself was just a little larger than I had hoped.
The one I got for my brother, on the other hand is just right......just kidding Jimmy :^))))
Molly
oops.. mine is just right.. hope it doesn't shrink
Oops! Somehow I've been missing this for a while!
Paulgrow, the caption on that picture says that the most common questions were about pruning and fertilizing, certainly they forgot to add, "and about where on earth Dave's Garden is!"
Gardenwife, wish I could take the credit for the wording on that card, but I think Dave came up with it on another thread - http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/487314/
Gumlla, what a sweetie!!
I just caught up too Maggie.. The original thread was being watched but when they switched I got lost
Today I get mine.So excited!
Dave sends to me by Global Priority Mail of the United States Postal Service. It totally takes seven days to reach me.
Pull open the envelope, I find the brown T-shirt with the green words 'For Gardeners... By Gardeners' at front, and 'I Garden at Dave's garden' at back.
I immediatelt try on my Medium 21x26,perfectly right, hehehe. I show off before my colleagues and the students. They all envy me almost to death. And it seems that my statue in my students' hearts are growing much higher all of a sudden. They listen to me attentively, both girls and boys.
HOWEVER, till now I simply do not know which angel pays me for the T-shirt. How can i express my thankfullness to the well-meaning angel who keeps my menatl labor working all the time to guess wh does it .hehehe
Thank you,Dave!
Thank you,the person dear!
Well.. I am not the angel but I am very glad you got your shirt! How exciting!
That's great, Jianhua! Can you post a picture of you in your new shirt? You're going to make gardeners out of those students yet. :)
Bummer!
All out of 3X??
Are you going to be getting more??
Please, Pleeeeease, PLEEEEEASE!!!
Nancy
Nancy, from what people have posted, these are generously cut. You might be able to use 2X.
Count me in for two - 1 large, 1 extra large, all adults.
I'll get Russ on it in the morning - going to put a watch on this thread to remind me.
So VERY glad to see this! :-) Too bad we don't have them now. I'm going to a local garden show tomorrow and speaking with some vendors.
I got one for BlueKat76, only to discover she'd ordered her own! But it worked out fine, as her SO wanted one too. She picked his up this afternoon. We're all going to be looking *fine* at the MidAtlantic RU!
Hang on to 'em, Dave!!! The money's almost here!!! :) LOL Don't anybody dare order that last Child Medium...or Stella's Mommy will be after you!!! :) LOL Just kidding (or is she....?)! ;)
Sarah
I am so glad I ordered two of the 3XL while they were available! That is the size that almost didn't get ordered and the first to sell out. It has been years since I was right about something, anything actually, so please let me say it... I TOLD YOU SO!... Wow, that felt good! Wish I could be right more often just to be able to say that!
Jianhua, Great picture. What do you teach?
Jianhua, I love it!! Thanks for sharing with us!
AWESOME!
Jianhua
You are looking nice ..... have your students asked about the shirt? What do you teach?
Kaleem
I teach high-school English as a foreign language.
My students asked me about the motto 'For gardeners...by gardeners'. I explained to them this motto might be after Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address '... government of the people, by the people and for the people'.
What a wonderful explanation Jianhua; you must be a very fine teacher :)
Thank you for the picture. It's so great to see someone from the other side of the Garden. Isn't it wonderful that we can be as close as our computer screens!
Pati
These few days my T-shirt is being a headlight.
A colleague teacher says it 'sour grape', some students call it 'Cool'. No matter sour or cool, I am feeling very good. :)
sour grape? I'd have to agree with your students...'cool'...And if you are feeling very good about it, that's all that counts. Happy Day, Kathy
I asked some of my students what kind of T-shirt they would like to get this summer from their parents. The answer I got is - One of bright color with roses / peonies, or stars like Yao Ming/ Jordan on it.
Jianhua.....now I love to see this shirt in your class....and I hope your students appreciate you as much as we do. Jo
Thank you for sharing your picture!
Just a fyi...if you are little like me (5'2" 120lbs) then the child's large is PERFECT. :)
I'm a couple inches shorter than you and that's what I ordered Angie! You can see me in it here http://davesgarden.com/forums/fp.php?pid=1473550 and it fits perfectly.
wowow...Jianhua....you are a handsome dude...you are the same...as you were in 2001====when you came to join in here...Your knowledge...is great...we thank you for it...letting us see..you today...but you have not aged...not like I have anyway...but then...age and old...do not meet...they stay your seperate..ways..lol...I see no Gray hair...lol...your English...has improved...over the years...hahah I think it is time for you to write another book...lol...You have a way with words.....kind and gentle...makes me smile...lol...for sure.....thanks for sharing...your picture...it has been awhile....waving from this side of the fence....
Smiles.. Diana
Oh, oh, your compliments really have me bursting with joy like an opening bloom. These days some nice sense untold lingers in my heart, and at class my chatting-box is always open blah-blah to the students. One tells me I am getting more and more humorous and inspired. Really? If so, it must come from the T-SHIRT.
Jo and Diana are both my old (here means 'long' and 'good') gardening friends since Dave created this great garden. I should specially thank her and her for their preferance to me.
I love DG, and DG's shirt.
