The new Banner is STUNNING :)

Castelnau RB Pyrenée, France(Zone 8a)

What a brilliant job you've done Paulwhwest!!
A banner that feels really comfortable and 'right' at last.
I love the way you've placed the shading in the background to make the lettering stand out - and we've even got a hint of the original logo too...

I agree, it's stunning :)
Thank you!

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

I love the overall look, and the "blur" at the edges of the photo.
Nice job, Paul!

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

I'm luving it! Clear & refreshing!

Thanks, Dave & Paul!!

It's gorgeous!

Thanks, Dave!

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

My Firefox does that every once in a while, too, Julie, so it's not just you! I think I must accidentally activate it somehow, but I'm not sure how... So I never quite know how to get it to quit. It always stops after a while.
Not helpful, but at least empathetic,

Oh, yeah, and the banner is GORGEOUS!!!!! Thanks, Paul and Dave!!! :-)

Beautiful!

Irving (Dallas area), TX(Zone 8a)

I'm not sure which of the five thread disscusing this I should post on, but several people have said the logo doesn't fit in too well, and I agree. I think this helps with that problem and makes the whole thing look a little better. So what do you think Dave?

I'm not seeing anything, except maybe the vine is closer to the "Dave's Garden"????? I think it looks great Paul! You did a wonderful job!

Tacoma, WA(Zone 8a)

thumbs up!!!

Irving (Dallas area), TX(Zone 8a)

Hehe, thought someone might say that, it's a little hard to notice with the little screenshot. There is a shadow behind the lettering and logo, and the "Dave's Garden" is a little shorter. Let me see if I can get it to not resize...

I see and like the shadow. Makes it lie on top, and the drawing doesn't have to compete with the photo as much.

Gratiot, WI(Zone 5b)

Three Thumbs Up!
The third one is my Green One! Thanks Paul.

Yes, I like that shadow. Paul, can I get the updated xcf?

Olympia, WA(Zone 7b)

It looks GREAT! I think I agree with salvia_lover, though, that it would look better, maybe "cleaner," with just the lettering and the photo. I really like it. :)

Ithaca, NY(Zone 5b)

Wonderful, well done banner!!! :o)

Coshocton, OH(Zone 6a)

beautiful! thanks paul and dave.

Mount Prospect, IL(Zone 5a)

This is really eyecatching, its so beautiful! I agree, the old logo doesn't seem to belong any more, but could it not be put somewhere else? Like above a column or something on that order or along the side someplace?

Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

Love it!!

Minneapolis, MN(Zone 5a)

Hey, how come Paul has an extra forum? His screen print says that there are 102 forums, but I only have 101 forums listed on my screen? (didn't think we'd notice, did ya, Dave? (o:)
Thanks,
Mike

I have 112 forums... there are a lot of forums that are not available to all members and subscribers. There's the Uber forum, plus several forums for us administrators (two for the PlantFiles admins and 2 for DG Admins).

Plus miscellaneous other places that I've setup as private little areas.

112!?!?!?!? Hey and I thought I was in the loop, that's no fair!!!! :)

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Be careful what you ask for! Remember that a couple of those are helpdesks, which are counted as "forums" ;o)

Irving (Dallas area), TX(Zone 8a)

Oh yeah, you can keep those. I'm content... really! :)

-Paul-

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

I was reading the forums and going back and forth. Then it dawned on me! A new Dave's Garden look. It takes a while for things to sink in. LOL
I like it.

Minneapolis, MN(Zone 5a)

Oops...I guess I should have kept my mouth shut (fingers quiet), but I'd love to see the "private little areas" that Dave has set up!

Hmm, I wonder what's there???? I bet it's a list of vendors who sell every elusive plant that I have ever lusted after and that I have been searching the ends of the earth for, for eons, and at very reasonable prices, too!

So, Dave, what's it cost to get a glimpse of the "private little areas" at Dave's Garden? (o:)
Mike

Edited to say: No, wait, I don't want to know....reality is rarely as good as fantasy. What is that saying? Ignorance is bliss!
