** I got my first named daylilies today!! **
There wasn't a real big selection, but I got Stella de Oro, Hudson Valley, and Chicago Candy Cane. I think she had a few more in the back, so I am going to go again later this week to check it out. I also started a daylily/iris bed. Here is a picture of the beginning. It has full sun from that stick on. I hope to send a pic with it full of blooms next year.

That spot you've picked out will make a great garden! I'll trade you a little of my flat sandy property for a little of the hillside you have to work with. :-)

Julie, You are right! I am in the Ozarks. You been here before? I am about an hour or so southeast of springfield, mo. I would LOVE to trade ya some of these hills for some of your flat sandy land. The only flat spaces I have to work with are around the barns, the retaining wall and the shed. One side of the house is fairly flat, but the house was built into the side of a hill... and talk about rocks... do you need any? I have little 'uns and big 'uns.... :)
LOL, Tazzy! I don't think folks would think it a motel 6 once they got close enough... all they would have to do is catch a glimpse of little ol' ladies in the midst of their 'night frolics' and they would probly be thinking along the lines of betty davis (hush hush sweet charlotte) or maybe janet leigh... the bates motel....
Starr, I grew up in Okla...MO was one of our favorite excursions when I was a kid. Then I moved to IL and gee...Rt 66 went right through the Ozarks back then...I mean OVER the Ozarks...*now* it goes *through* them. What a gorgeous part of the country it is. And, yes! I'll take the hillsides, the rocks (a FEW of them :-D) and ALL of that view!

Oooooohhhh Starr...that's beautiful! I'm almost jealous...*almost* is because I know what kind of snakes and other 'critters' live in them thar hills :-D What most "jealous" of is that you have trees with *leaves*!! I have pines with *needles* and cones. But I do have to admit that they're pretty when the snow falls on them. Thanks for that invite, maybe someday I'll be able to take you up on it.

And we crashed and died on a yup ?? been planting digging seed gathering here and for garden center .It rainy today yuk waiting for last order of my lily bulbs to come to door .Then I can dig some more. Son also brought dog when he moved in. Big whoop .No he;s nice dog son is so ,so. Dog thinks i am great pal he likes to dig holes too ,not where i want them but he thinks I'm his digging buddy i have 150 pound dog who loves to dig .why do i think this is going to be a problem ??

Wanda went on a honeymoon when she was 6 months along, and posed nude on a beach in jamaica... and Moby being the good friend she is, followed along in a raft, with binoculars and took pics.... so that she could make Wanda blush at some future point in time (today)... Did I miss anything? Julie, help me out here...Are they sharing a condo somewhere at the rubber room factory? Do these seemingly sweet and innocent ladies send us these wonderfully funny messages from the confines of their little rubber rooms? Is Tazzy their only link to reality? (Heaven help us all!!) Does Walker the Wonder Dog send messages to Tazzies dog via pigeon express telling him where to dig? Whoa... the room is starting to slow down and come into focus.... ok, I am fine, not to worry, I am feeling better now... no need for concern... (looks at puter slowly shaking head...)

no they visit my house it has a lot of rooms and i have new maid .she use to work for police but she wanted to be close to the girls so i hired her her name is Big Bertha . she cooks and lets us go out and play when we learn how to make our bed., and dress our selves well reaely when we remember to get dressed moby thinks she a Camille some days but we know her hinney any where ,Im slleepy wheres my meds. What in the world is going on in here!!! I take off one night to attend a school event and see what happens. You all skip your meds (or hide 'em under your tongues or whatever it is you do....trade them?) Did you gals overpower Bertha all by yourselves and overtake the computer again? I've got to get better help around this place before I can enjoy a night away again! *sigh* My work is never done!
