Bump!
Back to the first page...... still takes my breath away!
I thought I died and went to heaven!
Whew!!!
My, my, my. A balm for covetous eyes, lol.
Wow she is so pretty, I am loving this one for sure. Awesome job!!! Just awesome!
Wow, Kell. It's a beauty. I love it.
Oh my ... it just takes your breath away. Gorgeous!!!!!
OMG she even prettier this time than the first time.
Congratulations to you kell that is outstanding!!!!
Gee, Kell, wonder why noone has looked at this thread? I guess nobody liked the pictures or the color on this one. LOL
It's still outstanding Kell.
It is still the #1 brug in the US for red coloring that I've seen. Sangs not included. Beautiful.
Kell...it's great! So, so pretty and dark! You must be so proud and I know I would be running all around that brug looking and sniffing!
Missed looking for a couple days. Still a real beauty. A first for good 'ole USA!
We are so proud of you both! Just you wait, they will be wanting to see pics of momma, you know....the one who grew it! Time to go shopping for a new bathing suit.
We are happy with/for you.
That color will be hard to top won't it Kell??? It is even prettier the second time around!
Ok, I'll fess up, at LEAST 100 of the views are mine! Kind of silly when you consider that the first picture is my wallpaper, and has been since it was first posted. Every time that there are new posts I have to look again in case Kell has posted new pictures. IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!!!!! It's getting more gorgeous every time, can't wait to see the flowers when it blooms at Susie's house!
Wow!! Just absolutely WOW!!!
Last night I was out pollinating and my husband was holding the flashlight. I showed him this plant and told him I would have to move it soon for it now is above the fence (its pot sits on another inverted 15 gallon pot to bring it high enough to get sun). I said to him if a flower opens above the fence, someone may steal it! He laughed and said no one would steal this plant because no one likes them but me and few of my loony friends!
Hey, I resembled that remark! LOL
Well me too. Give him a "swift" kick from all of us!
Only kidding, ain't that just like a man?
Poor Kell, 62 degrees and all those blooms. Yesterday, we hit 100 and every time I get a bud, it falls off.
Still absolutely unbelievable, Kell. What are you crossing with? Keep up the good work (and I think your hubby was just kidding with you). Linda
It's only 62*??? Wow, I knew it was cooler up there where you are, but didn't realize it was that cool! We won't see 62 again till January, lol.
You're going to have Tom hybridizing those plants before long!
She is just gorgeous. Hope you get some great seedlings from her pods.
IMO, according to the pics, this bloom is as pretty as the first one, I think they will get better and better, but I'm a newbie...
Now now Hibiscus.....don't be so quick to lump all men into a stereotype.
Some of us actually like flowers and plants.....................
Oops, sorry 'bout that!
:D your forgiven.........
Again, wow!!! This is the most beautiful brug I've ever seen! The combination of color + tendrils is outstanding. Kell, it would be a tragedy if something happened to this plant. In order to ensure there are plenty of "backups" available you need to distribute cuttings to as many people as possible. Also we need to test how well it does in different climates. I will be glad to volunteer to safeguard and evaluate a plant in my backyard for you! ;-)
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, Kell. I love this one.
I've got the dry (most years) Prairie heat!!!
I wonder if it would be darker in the high temps and super high humidity of the deep south. Kell hurry up and send Cala a cutting so she can grow it in south Texas.
Just as beautiful as the day she opened her eyes, Kell
With over 5000 views, this thread is officially considered a Historical LandMark. Tours and Guides will be on staff daily...
:) :) :)
Oh gosh Kell I'm feeling faint!!!!!!!!!! That is so incredible!!!!!!
Well....I'm not feeling faint! I'm just down-right jealous!!!! LOL Keep up the great work Kell! And keep the pics coming, I love them all!
Susie and Kell, between the two of you, there is an almost red brug now. I don't see how it can be topped. I think these pictures are awesome and I can't wait each day to see what new pictures will be here for us. I love the new and one day old blooms picture.
I'm speechless and awestruck, Kell. She really is gorgeous!
