"i decided to save my gas for my mower by not mowing"
Oh, I like that line of reasoning! LOL!
Hmm...maybe I'll save on electricity by giving up vaccuuming. And I think I'll become one of those "raw foodists" so I don't have to waste electricity on cooking!
OH, wait, we were talking about gas, weren't we? ; )
Regular Gas at Chevron in CA ....2.19 per gallon
Actually, it's all about consumption of resources!
i just want it to stop before this faimly goes hungry and bankrupt trying to survive.
i cant believe the government is letting this happen to gas prices. isnt it regulated or something??
yes we have a disaster here in the states but wha distaster is that causing the rest of us.???
now i hear on the radio and everywhere give to Katrina .***** now dont get me wrong ********here i feel for these people who have lost everything but
whos gonna feel for me when i lose my home and go hungry due to this???
you will live longer if you eat more raw food, and then you would have a longer life of consumption, so some may say you would use more LOL
wood floors don't have to be vacuumed, neither to concrete. just sweep and mop!
if you knew what a big area I have to mow, and ho wmuch it hurts my arm, you wouldn't be laughing so hard!
my granny used to grow sprouts in the windowsill for slads and sandwiches!
imzadi our posts crossed (isn't that new feature of DG neat?)
yes, this crises can easily spead and envelope everyone. sometimes it seems the ones who lose due to acts of nature get more attention than those due to our fialing economy! but i have seen the devastation of nature firsthand, and don't want to wish that on anyone (tornado in Fritch TX 1992 wiped out 1/3 of town, thousands of home)
those regulations that are supposed to help can also hurt :-(
imzadi, I'm sorry to offer no answers. Only those "officials" with a greater view can do that. Personally I fear that it will be hard in the future on the middle and lower economic classes, and I fall in the lower class economically.
We topped off our tanks this time last night at $2.79/gallon after seeing the prices rise about six cents over the past week; it's now $2.92/gallon. We also decided to purchase locking gas caps as the two of them cost an equivalent of 1 tank of gas at current prices.
Would it be possible to have a second thread started here? It's getting a bit slow to load for some of us on dial-up. ;)
Gas on the way to work yesterday; $2.529/gal, on the way home yesterday,
$2.999/gal. This morning, $3.09/gal on the way to work and then on
the way home: $3.199/gal. They said on NPR that the damage estimate is
at $100B !!! This one is going to really hurt.
