Gas today is 2.27 regular, two weeks ago we paid 2.80 reg. in Baker, CA on the way to Las Vegas. It looks like regular went up 7 cents since February of this year. How is everyone else doing out there?
edited to say: 2.27 at chevron and 2.80 at chevron in baker. and also changed 20 cents to 7cents.

Regular Gas at Chevron in CA ....2.19 per gallon
As of yesterday, there was a Speedway station with gas for $1.89 in town. I'd imagine it's cheaper elsewhere in our area. According to a link from gasbuddy.com, Kroger has it for $1.84/gallon.
Here it's now avg. $1.91/regular. Myy friend in Tulsa reports $1.67.
$1.97 for regular seen this morning
mine keeps fluxuating. its 1.72 right now but last week it was like 1.82 this is a chevron and i think i picked up gas the other day at like 1.68 for regular.
its awful.!!!
$2.25 / gallon here in Northern Ca. and that's down from $2.47 a few weeks ago.
I think I saw $2.21 yesterday.
$2.40 here in Hilo....more in the big tourist areas. Hasn't been under 2.29 for a year or more!!!
I filled up my tank last night at a Racetrack station here in northeast Georgia and paid $1.75 for regular, mid grade was 1.85 and hi test was 1.95/gallon. In town they get about a nickel more per gallon.
Amen, Kelli. Bloody SUV and Hummers taking up two or more parking spots. And gas? They suck it down like a python in a bunny cage! No consideration at night either. Headlights shining in your eyes even on low-beams. I'll stop now before the British profanity begins!
On the News, they quoted 2.25 in Los Angeles today, 2.29 in San Bernardino and we are still holding at 2.27 all of these are for regular gas.
hmstyl, jus a few miles from you, in Hiawassee, is where I buy gas. No Racetrack there, just name brands, and avg. is $1.91 for regular.
Going down here. Saw some stations at $179.9 tonight.
I saw $2.07 today.
Price around here today dropped to $169.9.
Love it!
Bernie
I also bought some for 1.69 today. I was about 30 miles from my hometown, when I got home I looked at the prices and it is still 1.91 here, what a difference a few miles makes.
Sandra
It's still less than a gallon of milk or water would be. :-)

I get better mileage out of a gallon of milk! LOL!
I have never bought water, we live in "God's Country", have a shallow well & don't even need a water softner. Water is wonderful to drink.
Hey!, here's an idea, maybe I should sell my water!
Have a great day!
Bernie
LOL Bernie, I like your philosophy. Keep that water-selling idea in the back of your mind, at the rate we're all consuming & polluting it, you never know when business could pick up. :-)
Hope you all have a great day & weekend too.
It was $1.99/gal this morning in Rialto but I would put a hornet's nest down my trousers than try to get close to a pump at that station.-Bagpypr
lol... bagpypr.
Now $167.9 tonight
Bernie
2.15 for reg. in Riverside, CA.
I paid $1.61/gallon in Newark tonight.
Gas Prices dropped here. $1.58 this morning.
I saw $1.65 for regular yesterday.
Some of us driving those road hogging SUVs only bought them for maximum buttage. :) So far as I have seen I can get a SUV or a church van. The SUV has better traction and 4 wheel drive. LOL
Still $1.97 for regular here. I wish the lower prices would hurry up since my diesel pickup is going to need refilled soon and it is going to hurt a lot at the pumps.
Flying J near Columbus, Ohio had regular unleaded for $1.58/gallon on Sunday.
$ 1.89 last week
Prices will climb over time...inevitably. The world is running out of oil. Of 44 producing nations, 24 have passed the peak of their reserves. The U.S passed the peak of reserves in 1970. The easy-to-reach stuff has already been extracted and what's left will cost a lot more to pull out. We urgently need alternatives, and we're racing against time.
Back in the UK before Christmas I was paying around $8.00 a gallon. I was glad to get home to Texas!!
We got gas this morning & it was $1.67 at a Citgo station. When I was out in So. Calif. visiting my DD, the gas was over $2.25 a gal. Must be state taxes that make such a diff.
$1.58 here today.
Paul
There's been a couple of stations at 1.69 between Zion and North Chicago the last week.
Last night I caught a glimpse of some lady pointing out some things in China as part of Oprah - she said gas was "...a little pricey ..." and that it would "... take $100 to fill up this car". Some luxury sedan I think.
Still $1.93+ here, but was a dime cheaper in St Augustine. I repair refineries and there is more fuel available than is being refined. They shut them down instead of maintaining them. Prices are all over the map after reading this thread.
1.87 here this week.
Linda
Just filled up at BP...premium unleaded $1.72
Now I could have actually filled up down the block at QT for $1.67 for premium unleaded but the hubby throws a fit if I go there. He worked in several different service stations through the years and claims that buying gas at a convenience store (or off brand gas of any kind) is just asking for trouble. He seems to think that their gas is inferior. He always goes into some long winded story about his old boss sending him to buy "samples" around town. Then he says they would pour it through a coffee filter and see how much sediment was in the gas. He says the sediment in the gas is what causes your fuel filter or fuel injectors to get clogged. He prefers that I only go to BP or a Phillips66. Now I can't say if what he says is true or not, but I can say he truly believes it. I find that it is just easier to go along with him rather than hear the story yet another time.......sigh
It's terrific that you have him, wheather he's right or not and we'll just let it go at that.
$1.76 Exxon in Dickson, TN (small town 40 miles west of Nashville, TN)
I always believe 100% everything my DH tells me. Did you know we own the GoldenGate Bridge. That's were all our money goes, for it's upkeep!! lol lol lol
Gas dropped to $1.55 here in Cedar Rapids, Iowa today. Are they tired of scaring us or just have too much gas backed up in tanks and need to get rid of it? Back to February prices?
