How cold is at your place tonite?

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

It's 5.2 degrees here tonight, without the windchill factor. It's truly winter here in Seward!

Albany (again), NY(Zone 5b)

Honeybee - times like this, when it's well below zero, you just stay indoors, come home from work and stay inside. We are fortunate that the house stays quite warm, few drafts even when it's well below zero.

One of the worst - the ruuuuur ruuuuuuur ruur ruuuur, praying the car will start in the morning. It has every time, but this is NOT the weather where one wants to be outside to jump start.

Fortunately, we don't have to use engine block warmers here, like in some areas.

Princeton, IL(Zone 5a)

Weez--you can tell it is cold when you add that .2 to the temperature just to get it that little bit warmer! LOL

Well theres one thing you can say about the the cold, when
its that cold, the crime is down !!

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

We had rain here last night...since our cold temps moved
to Eastern Canada and down to the States...it's been nice up here...but now our roads and sidewalks are a skating rink. Figures it rains and then we drop below zero and stay there :b

Los Angeles, CA(Zone 10a)

In Los Angeles it's in the high 40's at night, low 70's or high 60's during the day. (Now I feel guilty!)

Holland, MI(Zone 6a)

Right now at three a.m. it is 12 degrees above zero. Reading the posts from other Michiganders, I think that I live on the right side of the state. Grand Haven has not had sub-zero weather in a long time.

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

Hey Birdsall - your nasty weather has moved inland this year - thanks a lot!! (from another Michigander...)

Saucier, MS(Zone 8b)

Sandra,

I don't even think I could drag myself out of bed to go to work!!
After living my life in the south,
I get cold at about 60 degrees, I would have to go into hibernation
with your temps.

Well about all I can say is that the very cold weather we had here earlier finally moved East. I'm sorry for all of you who are getting the severe cold. The past week here has not been bad. Our weather only changes slightly night to day, 33 degrees nighttime, to high yesterday of 38. Did get cold enough to freeze the water from the melting snow. There is probably 5 or so inches of very wet snow left on the ground. The birds really appreciate the many gallons of feed I put out for them. Donna

Canadaigua, NY(Zone 6b)

Ok ya know what? We were about -29 the other night, no joke, here in the beautiful winter wonderland of Bristol Springs, NY. I'm starting to get snotty about all of the warmth going on down south... even though I love snow, please send us an early spring!!!

Princeton, IL(Zone 5a)

It got down to a low of 5 degrees last night windchill took it down to 0. Today is supposed to be much worse although it is still 5 degrees. I heard a -15 with windchill today. I worked out on the horse farm over the weekend and froze my patootie off. Just wish it had actually gotten smaller in the process! LOL

I had -13* at 5 a.m on Friday, January 16, 2004. That's actual temp-- not windchill. Needless to say, the kids had a day off from school on Friday.

I'm tired of cold, and I'm tired of shoveling already. :-(

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

It's warmed up here over the day. It went from about 5 degrees to 30F! Now it is getting ready to drop lots of snow. To tell you the truth, I'd rather have the cold!
