Thank you for understanding, Pat - last night I had a very restless sleep & woke up, sat watching "murder she wrote" to get my mind off things.
This is my 1st time moving on my own, and pretty much packing on my own. I hadn't heard from my buyer for awhile, and felt at a loss - started having thoughts of "what if my buyer pulls out & I've even sold my bed? I wouldn't have $$ to re-buy furniture", etc etc - silly of me, I know, but that's how my mind was going, round & round. Our lawyer is out sick & I couldn't get in touch with anyone.
Today I spoke to my neighbour & he said Chuck's so excited about moving her. Then Chuck phoned & said he would be here tomorrow.
I found a home for the budgies - will take them to an animal supply store Monday. The owner is a lovely young lady & her mom is a friend of mine. She showed me the counter where they'll have their cage. Right next to the cage of a hedgehog.
Best & Worst, what did I learn today.
Hi! Just thought I'd drop in. Best today is realizing my large clump of Echinops ritro is just colouring up nicely and I've offered them as cuts to a local nursery that makes beautiful bouquets. Unfortunately they are redoing the road infront of my house and there is dust covering everything including plants. I look forward to having the new paving which will quieten vehicles. Tallulah_B, there is a place out my way called Greyhaven https://greyhavenbirds.com/ which might help with your budgies. I, unfortunately, lost my male Eclectus a few months ago. Miss him. I kinda wonder about DG and where it is going and where it's at. It lacks leadership and has tons of errors. I just received a good sized order from Sheffield Seed and some really cool plants. Pinus patula (Mexican Weeping Pine) looks very interesting with age. Cheers!
Oh Growin, THAT plant is gorgeous!
Susan, so glad to hear you have your budgies a new home.
Stillwood, I'm with you. I call myself "Techno- Zero". I do NOT like change either! LOL
psychw2, it's so easy to grow and is well behaved. I used to do cut flowers and I thought it was an annual. It came back every year. I can send you some seed if you want as there is still some seed heads from last year.
Glad you got a home for the budgies, Susan. That has to be a huge relief!
This morning I went to a dog show about an hour away. No love for my boy from the judge, but, it was nice getting out in the show ring again.
Yes, a Huge relief
Is this the first time in awhile since you showed your boy?
It's the first time I've shown him since he was very young. A friend of mine was showing him and finished his championship. I'm hoping to finish his Grand championship title.
Do you have a picture of him, Deb?
Hi ladies, been awhile since I posted in this thread, but, Betty has been in my thoughts lately and I wondered if she is alright ?
Hotter than Hades here with smoke from forest fires making breathing somewhat difficult.

Hi Marilyn - good to see you posting!
Betty, for her own reasons, has decided not to come to this thread.
I hadn't heard about smoke in Ontario, but I know that Thompson MB has a lot of fires/smoke, so not surprised it's showing up in Ontario, too.
Betty hasn't posted here in months. We are all hoping she will return.
Glad to see you posting. Praying you and your family are doing well.
Welcome back! Always nice to see familiar faces return.
HOT here as well, 100 degree weather is the pits.
We're getting the smoke from MB here in northern Illinois, too. It must be much worse in Ontario. Just a hazy sky that the weather men are blaming on Canada.
lol "blaming" on Canada............ yup, we decided to have fires, and have a big fan blowing it southwards lol
Good morning everyone. I finally got the pages to load. Don't know if it's this old phone or what. I will be getting a new one next week. I hope that makes a difference.
Praying everyone is well.
Susan, I know you are busy getting things ready for your move. Praying it goes smoothly for you.
Maybe it's time for me to start a new thread, I don't want it to take too long to load!
