Susan, where did you post photos? I didn't see them here.
Betty, bears are adorable. They all look very happy. Sorry to hear you are hurting so much.
We were at about 35 yesterday, maybe 50 today, but cold again this weekend.
Best/Worse/What did I learn today?? Come join in (if you can find us!!)
more pictures. Piper piping in the Haggis, while one gentleman carried in the Haggis, and the gentleman behind him Addressed the Haggis. The young lady playing the pipes was applauded each time. I wish I'd taken a video - well, next year. The lady I'd asked to make sure that someone took my picture, forgot, so there are no pictures of me in my tartan.......... siiiiiiiigh.

Here's our piper, and Sharron asking for people to talk about their heritage - whatever it was. This was totally unscripted - she asked me if she could ask a question of the
group and of course I said "yes". People loved being asked about themselves - lots of Scottish heritage that I didn't know about, even within the residents of our hamlet.
Thank you for the photos. Looks like everyone had a good time.
People are talking about the evening to others, so that's a good thing. I told people to watch for advertising in November, and others told me that they want to come so they'll be watching for it.
Went to the pharmacy to get some cream for my arthritic left thumb. I've been overdoing the hand sewing and now it's really sore. Grateful for pharmacy discount that took the price from $100 to $25!!!!
We got back LATE last night, I unloaded the car and just did "recovery" most of the day, napping mostly!
The first 3 days I sincerely questioned the choice of a cruise. The water was rough & people were sick. I practically bounced from one side of the hall to the other trying to walk. Although I was not sick. The seasickness prevention patch I wore made me extremely anxious and jittery, so I removed it.
Wherever the place is your DIL got $5.99 Hawaiian fabric, I want that name and contact info! We visited just 2 different quilt shops. I'll try to post more pics tomorrow or later. I bought a few yards of fabric I needed for projects. A necklace, a few pair of earrings. I did not go crazy as I knew I had to find a way to get it all home! If I had known beforehand that the one quilt shop would ship for free after a certain dollar spent, the outcome would have been different! LOL
I think my seasickness patch is also responsible for the blood vessel I broke in my eye during my flight to San Diego, it resolved within 4 days.
Glad to heat you are home. Sorry to hear about the rough seas, and your eye. I will get back to you on the place for fabric. Now that I know you are home, I will get your quilt blocks sent out, so you can add your borders and get them sent on.
Thanks Linda!

He doesn't list prices, but most of his fabrics are $5.99 per yard. He also has 5 inch squares, that he sells for $5.00 a pound. You can send him a message through Instagram ask questions.
Pat - beautiful scenery! Thanks for sharing. Sorry to hear about your rough voyage and your EYE! omygoodness!
Linda - I checked out the website & it gives USD prices - about $4.30/yard. I was looking at single & double borders for that price & lower. Beautiful suggestions.
Thank you Susan..when i looked at it earlier, I didn't see prices. Guess it needed more time to load.
All the fabric I looked at was part polyester. I generally use only 100% cotton for quilts. I do think it would be great for clothing! I have several friends/ relatives that like mumus and WANT part polyester as they don't require ironing that way. Some beautiful fabric.
Just chequing in
Monday afternoon i came down with flu, really sick, spent on night in hospital, haven’t been out of bed, mega clean up of rus when 8m berry, can’t eat or drink
Sorry to hear that Betty. Praying you are feeling better soon.
Hope that you feel better soon, Betty
Pat - those are wonderful. Thanks for posting.
Did you get a lot of sewing done Pat. I love those photos.
YES!! LOl, I got 3 quilt tops done (with exception of the wide borders, I did not want to do that on the cruise). I have one more that only needs ONE more row of blocks and it's done. I thought I would get them all ironed up before posting a picture. I have 3 more in various stages of work.
Looking forward to your quilt tops, Pat! You're busy on al those quilts. I can only concentrate on one at a time, and here you have 4 to finish, and 2 done - yikers!
Went to church and it was 1/2 hour of white-out driving. Coming home a car coming from the opposite direction was almost at me before I saw it - a black vehicle, no less.
We have a cold front in right now, too. -14F brrrrrrrr.
WOW that is scary Susan. I am NOT a brave driver or passenger. IF the roads are bad, I STAY HOME.
When I left home I could see 2 city blocks ahead. It got worse coming home. Groundhog did NOT see his shadow today lol We could use some warmth. We were spoiled earlier with our weather, and now we're paying the price with bad weather.

Wow, that's a lot of tops done. Can't wait to see them.
Susan, I don't think i would have left the house with that weather. Glad you didn't hit that car.
Betty, I hope you are on the mend.
The U.S. ground hog saw his shadow, so 6 more weeks of winter they say.
Linda Kay - we were going different directions (me north, them south) and were in our own lanes. I was just surprised to see another vehicle so close before I saw it.
I will be adding borders. The 2 that look alike are 2 different, one is a little vibrant. I will be adding another row & BIG black & pink border for the vibrant one. I will finish it and use it for my summer quilt for my bed.
The Carpenter Star was designed to frame that panel. I had to frame the panel to make it fit, it was not square so top & bottom vs sides were not even to bring it up to square.
When they are completely finished I will post another picture. The first B & P is "Tango" and the following 2 are "Log Jam". Marie got 2 quilt tops done. I'll try to post them later.
Pat - they're very very pretty.
I'm TRYING not to get myself wanting to do MORE quilts, but I'm a sucker for patterns I see online (FB!).
Here's one that I will work on AFTER I do my Madam Butterfly one, and AFTER I sew my Victorian dress. If it's been awhile, here is my inspiration for MB, and the pattern for my dress, AND the one I just Have to do asap for my church - At The Cross
Susan, I am pleased with the progress on the quilts.
Betty, how are you doing?
Susan, why deny yourself the pleasure of doing more quilts? I would love to have the discipline to always finish what I start, AND if I could really only have ONE project going at a time, that would be awesome, but THAT is NEVER going to happen!
That dress is plenty ambitious!
Pat, those quilts are beautiful.
Susan, i give you kudos for making clothes. That's all I did for years, but once I disovered quilt making i stopped making or altering clothes.
right now, I can machine piece quilts, but I can't hand quilt them - my left thumb pad is still hurting, and I don't have access to a long arm quilter, so I'll piece quilt tops and sew the dress. I'll make a pair of gloves & a reticule (purse) to go with the outfit. I have some polyester material that has cutwork on the edge that I think will go well for both the purse & gloves. I'll incorporate it somewhere in the dress as well. I'll post the picture of the fabric in the next post. I need to find a pattern to sew gloves.

That will be so pretty.
Praying for a speedy recovery.
Oh Betty - so sorry to hear you're not eating and are still unwell! Praying for a speedy recovery.
I'm going to check to see if anyone's still posting in the RR quilt thread.
Are you in the hospital Betty? You sure should be. Please tell me you are being followed closely by your doctor. Dehydration is very serious business!
Just made 2 slices toast and honey, managed to get one down so that is first solid food I’ve had in almost 2 weeks
Another trip to emerge and tests came back saying I also had uti infection
Sharon got back from Africa last night and this morning went to get me groceries
Sour milk and blue mold bread wasn’t very appetizing
Greg and Mel get home tonight from Mexico then Greg heads north on a snowmobile trip til Tuesday but Mel will be here if she needs me
Feel better that family is around
Anxious to see the blocks
glad that the family is around, Betty. It must give you comfort to know that they're there. a UTI infection is not good.
Sent the county my accounting for the Robbie Burns Night, and pictures. They will give us a grant for each year - Hurray~ and now that I have the Senior's attention, they will want to put it on again next year. Not as much legwork or organizing for me lol I'll be getting their help. After all, $1k is nothing to sneeze at lol
That it’s not Susan, you should be commended for your efforts!
With the little I’ve eaten today I am feeling stronger, hurrah
Will try to be up more tomorrow, here is hoping
