Betty - what a sweet baby!
I did ask for a card to be sent to you? Maybe it's a "picked up" card? I don't know, but I do have 2 more Tuesdays in Oct to send mine to the next person. It takes a long time to ship to me though. It goes to Calgary for sorting THEN to me. Even the next town over couldn't send directly to me, so it takes longer to arrive.

Ah well.well, I'm DOING it. I'm going to put on a Robbie Burns dinner in January. At our senior's meeting today we talked about doing 1 dinner per month and I immediately started talking about doing it in January (Saturday the 25th, to celebrate Robbie's birthday). I've been trying for THREE years, and they say no one would be interested. I have a LOT of people who want to attend, and I've been on a Robbie Burns committee for 6 years & know how to do it. In our tiny hamlet however, people don't want to step out of their comfort zone, and say someone else can put it on, and no one will be interested because it's not a Scottish community. To heck with it - I'll rent the senior's hall & put it on myself! So THERE lol

Beauquilts and projects. That little one is so precious.
Pat should have our blocks. Once she has them done she mails them to Susan.
Betty, have you and Sharon made your blocks yet?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Sharon has been gone to two dog shows and only home a few days I just messaged her and said I need her block by the weekend I'm going to go downstairs now and start doing mine I had an idea for a Christmas quilt that I could embroider the center 42,000 stitches so I'm going to go and set it up and start while I'm down there working on it every time I have a few minutes

Just got a gift from Darlene and John was having trouble with all the phones I had to keep taking the same phone downstairs half the time I forget it and therefore didn't know anyone was calling me so there was 200 US, they're hoping I go to South Carolina at Christmas and a set of four phones so have one in my bedroom mom's bedroom haha downstairs and in the living room so I shouldn't be missing any calls and now Jeff has me on this new cell phone so there's no reason not to answer a phone

Susan I love your quilt Block I'm looking at it and trying to see what kind of fabric would bring out the colors that's in it very nice block I see here that there isn't much to sew the border on so I'm hoping I don't take off the corner peak but I'll try as best I can
My apologies read the blocks it's just so much going on and that is no excuse whatsoever I can't believe I'm the one that's behind so I'll spruce myself up and hopefully get my block done Sharon's doing hers in fact she was doing a zebra block which is so pretty and I asked her how what the size of the inner block was because it would be beautiful to get everybody's thoughts on borders on it so I'll get back to you on the correct site shortly as to how I'm making out I'm on my way downstairs going to look for fabric

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Betty - the finished block is to be 16".
Looking forward to seeing Sharon's - I actually HAVE a zebra print lol
Please post a picture of yours & Sharon's blocks on the Round Robin site :) No rush on yours - you always do such lovely work.
If you have to take off the corner peak, no problem. I'm not a great quilt block maker, so I "fudge" a lot lol

Yes, I will go post over there now. I did get Linda's & her DIL's on Wednesday. I thought ONE of them should have had a round already on it, maybe I don't understand. I did add a 2 inch border to each & mail it out with my block to Susan on Thursday. .

Thanks Pat - let's try & post everything Round Robin related on that thread.
I think I got it sorted there now. Not to worry, everything will work out in the end :) I have every confidence in our wee group.

Morning, bust day ahead, will be a sunshine day and my family will gather here about 10 then are all going riding for the day, I've students all day then have to prep for tomorrow so just as well they ride.

About 11:00 John dropped in with a Christmas present, Darlene couldn't come because she just got back from dentist and was feeling under the weather. Told me when he was gone to please open it, hmm mm, thanksgiving they were teasing me, said I must be answering their calls, kept leaving messages, my phone set not working properly, phone downstairs wouldn't work so they bought me a 4 unit phone system and $200 US for me to spend when I come for Christmas, guess I best look for flights

Early afternoon Noah dropped in with lunch, had a nice visit

Melanie/Greg, Grayson and Hope dropped in around 4 yesterday, ordered supper from Shannons Cafe then about 8:30 Kyle and Destiny dropped in, so lots of company.

I had spent a few hours trying to download a gorgeous Santa for machine embroidery, came in 9 sizes, regardless how I downloaded it on memory stick kept saying too big so sent a message to the seller on etsy.ca in hopes of getting a solution but in the meantime will go and see what I can find as I want to get blocks out by monday

Best make myself a coffee before Rqinee gets here at 9

Had a very good week at our Afghan National show. JohnJohn ran in FastCATs and finished his DCAT title, Hamish was Reserve Winners Dog (second best non champion male), he and his sister Adeline were Best Brace, and on Friday, Luca was awarded Select Dog (second best male in show). I'm exhausted, my car looks like it belongs to a hoarder, I have so much laundry, and cleaning to do, and I need to go back to work tomorrow! It'll take a week or so to catch up, but, it was all well worth it!

Evening all,
Now I know I posted two messages and got caught up but God knows I've been using the new tablet I've been using the new phone I've been trying to on my older iPad in the craft room to post but who knows what I'm doing??

Congratulations, know their win is because of all the hard work, training, grooming, travelling to show, tremendous amount of work Feb, you must be thrilled... Now what will you do with all those ribbons? I find them so regal, they seem to float on air

Had sewing group Saturday, friends from city all day yesterday doing Christmas projects so am tired. Today was mom stop, early chiro appointment then ultra sound then to penetang for dentist spot for 2.pm not a wonder I am tired

Had made chicken Alfredo but too tired to eat so just had cereal

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

What a cutie! All that running around, no wonder you are tired! LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I get tired, just reading what you have done.
She is so precious.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, they say another sunshine day in my neighbourhood
Was so excited about sleeping in this morning but singing had other ideas, about 5:30 he started his meowing his scratching at my pillow wanting out, you would think you would know he can't go out till it's light outside just to give him a better chance should there be any skunk s just in waiting for him 😉

So here I am going to have my coffee then going to go downstairs and reorganize a bit and see what fabric I have that I could work on Susan's block so I can get it out in the mail and not get behind anymore. I too am looking forward to seeing everybody's pretty blocks being a creation of art!
Sharon is coming at some point to bring her block and pick up her quilt and other than that I'll do the test for the kids craft December one, I have bought those pretty Santa's but after doing the class with a bunch of girls yesterday or rather Sunday I know it's not something that they can achieve easily so I went to Staples and got a pretty snowman and I think I can make it work and they'll be thrilled so I will try one of them and see if it works and for no other reason than a test piece I can give it to someone as a gift, must be some little girl out there I know that I love her to have a pretty snowman. So let's see where my day goes always seems to change and look forward to seeing what you guys are up to, I'm almost back to normal.

Linda is burnt out so I'm thinking tomorrow I'll go and take her out for lunch and then go have a visit with David, I'm sure she can use the company.
