Heart is breaking for Lindakay, she just posted on Facebook
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
Todd passed away yesterday afternoon at 4:13.
I am relieved to know he is not suffering anymore.
Hugs Lindakay

Best/Worse/What did I Learn today? Come sit a spell, a place where friends meet & share! All newcomers welcome..
I kept hoping for a miracle for Todd. Linda, my heart is aching for you my dear friend.
Todd passed away yesterday afternoon. The hospital chaplain was here saying prayers when he took his last breath.
how blessed that the chaplain was there at the last.
My heart aches for you, LK
Betty - the town near me IS Innisfail, not Innisfil. Interesting that they're so similar.
Linda, I know it's hard but also know the relief from knowing your sweet husband is no no longer suffering. Prayers for peace and comfort for you and the rest of your family.
Was going to have a rest when I got a call from a young woman whose mother has been moved closer to the 3 girls here cleaning out moms house then all back to Alberta, didn’t say where.
A tote and 4 big boxes I cannot lift, likely most garbage..with going back to Innisfil tomorrow i will leave them in the car and unpack thursday, throw out what I know I won’t use so that Friday I can make a trip to dump
My sincerest condolences LK. Please take comfort in that Todd is out of pain.
I am so very sorry, LindaKay.
Morning, should be nearing 70°F today
Lindakay, you are in my thought ps and prayers. I’m sure the much needed rest you so need eludes you with so much to think of as well as grieving..know we are here for you!
Sat outside early this morning, went through the 6 boxes of fabric given last night, little cotton, most throw away..I’d say I will end up with part of a box to keep, rest to garbage, was a make work project.
Keep well my friends,
Gab later
Good Morning Everyone.
Linda Kay, Wrapping my Arms around you my friend. I am so glad He was home with you and family. Well I am really glad you are with family during the bitter sweet end.
Ohh, I am so sorry about the coffee spill...I hope it heals quickly. Unfortunately I too know what that feels like...
Betty, Betty so glad you got in to see the new Doc. I hope she figures out the problem so you can get to feeling better. I just love that you are still teaching the crafts!! Who better then children to create gifts for mommy's and daddy's.
ROFLOL, have I got a story for you! Hhaha, let me get all the other posts first then I'll come back and tell ya a story.
Karen how good Walt is getting stronger. I am glad you a have little longer breaks.
My DH, Steve has been just incredible as my "ambulance" getting me to and from appointments, juggling his schedule around...
He was juggling all different schedules around, the poor guy is exhausted.
Anyway he is now semi retired! I have made it a point not to wake him, let him catch up on much needed rest...While he is still "working" on whatever...We are cleaning out finding stuff long ago "lost" in a drawer, in a closet somewhere in the shed and so on, lol. and finally starting to lose the Sanford and Son look.hahaha
Today is our 38th wedding Anniversary! And we seem to be right on target to the next phase, we are completely empty nesters, not even a pet! I gave Scruffaluff away in March...We just didnt have any chemistry and he was bitey, he was such a Mean bird and it was just not cool.
Now I am back to Nature for pets!
got to run see you in a bit.
And enjoy the day.

♫♪Happy Anniversary, Judy♪♫
Happy anniversary Judy and Steve, May there be many more.
Semi retired, my Steve, surely not..we road trip girls often talk of our times with you 2 and not a word of a lie, every time I burn I think how disappointed you would be with me but promise before long I will clean 3/4 full of ashes, get you to tell me how to prepare the burning area so I can have a memorial for those who have passed on this year of which are too many. Can’t believe I moved here 20 years ago with nothing, now I cannot find a spot for anything.
You know me Judy, love teaching crafts..when the Ohio girls would come we would have at least 2 part days doing a craft..miss them, maybe this year. Have you been driving?
Are you enjoying being an empty nester?
Am also making a small garden and getting plants/shrubs as a memorial garden, already have the Angels..will have to find out Todd’s favorite garden plant/shrub or tree.
Lindakay, thinking of you..would love as many have asked for an address we could send cards to?
HavePhoebe coming at any minute, I should have cancelled, hope I’m out of the washroom long enough for her to finish her teddy.
When I got home I put the back seats down and fixed the trunk so I could fill with fabric vs trying to lift boxes, that will be Fridays job, trip to the dump grrr
Once Phoebe leaves I will see what is not strenuous and do a tad before calling it a night..Marie I think did about 8 bags of leaves today..About 1/2 acre for me is brush and a little stream, owner was out, I asked if I could put leaves there as it’s good for composting, he said sure so that will be tomorrow’s job.
Ziggy is laying beside me, think he is waiting for me to put my p.j.’s on, he doesn’t understand my schedule lol
Hate Phoebe comes at 4:30, ends up 6:30 before she leaves.
Need to go find chocolate, Dr. Ross says to eat it to my hearts content, will help get rid of the nasty stuff he injected in me..guess when the technician weighed me he didn’t see the #.
Lindakay, thinking of you… will there be a funeral or celebration of life?
My mind is all over the place, sorry
With not taking sleeping pills for 2 nights due to test I am over tired and babbling
Hope all are ok and have enjoyed a sunshine day
Chocolate!! Just what the MD ordered and wouldn't we ALL like that RX!
We made our 2 hour run to Spokane, bought shoes & bras. We weren't home yet when Phil called to say they were doing Xray to determine if they needed to do surgery to resolve a bowel obstruction. Later, determined no blockage but I do not know how they intend to resolve the issue.
My Sister in law Sharon was discharged from hospital this afternoon, she spent 2 nights with URI/ kidney/ low blood pressure issues.
tired and going to do a little picking up & putting up and read. DONE for the night.
Sounds like you had quite the day and deserve to relax..hardest thing for me to buy are bras, now with my shoulder i prefer seeing I don’t go out often is to wear none.
Wore one last 2 days so not a wonder i can’t sleep because of shoulder.
Pat, just broke ears off bunny, solid chocolate, am sure I’ll not rest until I’ve eaten the entire bunny.
uri’s are beyond painful and seems hard to get rid of, hope they’ve given her strong meds…bet Marie is relieved Phil wont need surgery.
We are home and doing well.
Great news Karen. Made my day. I did a little plant shopping today with my 80th birthday gift cards. Also stopped by the store and purchased some cat food.
Linda, I am praying you are just sitting back and having some me alone moments. The day Vern died, everyone came over. He died about 9am and at 2:30pm I told everyone they could leave now. They said, "Oh no, you cannot be by yourself". I replied, that is exactly what I want. And they all left. I made myself a cup of tea and just sat and had quiet time. Just me and my animals. Just know we are all sending hugs to you and your family.
Betty, that teddy bear is adorable. She will cherish that for many years. So now you have had all of these tests, when do you get the results? I pray every night that they find a solution for you. So sorry that the majority of the material you received was not going to work for anything.
Judy Happy Anniversary. It is always fun when you find something you forgot you even had. Now if you could find the place you stashed some money. You are young but my parents had money stashed in many different places, just in case the banks failed, or something like that. Thought we would never have to worry about banks failing. Now, not so sure. Crazy world.
Time for me to start the wind down going to bed.
Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers.
Todd will be cremated. We will have a memorial service here on May 13th. Then the end of June I will fly with his ashes to his hometown in Maryland. We will have another memorial service there with his family. His oldest sister owned the family home, and there is a dock out back on the bay area. That is where all his family ashes have been placed.
Happy anniversary Judy and Steve.
Happy birthday to Sharon.

Sounds lovely Lindakay..he will be at peace with his family.
You have the Amarillo address, are you thinking you will stay there for awhile before returning home? Hugs and Thanks for the address.
Glorious day out there, body not happy with me but another few hours and pond will be up and running, so far without mishap
The rehab facility did not address Phil's bowel problems aggressively at all & he was in so much pain. Marie finally called ambulance & they went to the ER. After CAT scan & lots of warm soapy water enemas, he got a little response and was sent BACK to Canyon Lakes 12 hours later with doctor's orders, no more "PRN". They had NOT been giving him all the softeners and laxatives ordered as "he had not asked for them (PRN)". I am VERY disappointed in the facility. Marie is looking for a long term solution after Phil discharges as she cannot provide the care he needs at home.
Right now, it's hard to even think about going back home. I will stay here for awhile, and figure out going back to the house later.
Sorry to hear about Phil. So sad they treat patients like that.
Goad you are staying there with family, you’ve a whole lifet8me to make decisions, one of the things I did learn when I started a support group is there is no right or wrong in mourning! Don’t be pressured as I am sure you are not but sometimes it feels like that. There will be so many decisions ahead of you that you will deal with them when time is right for you.
It’s 72 today, another day or 2 then rain and back to cold temperatures..was grocery shopping at 8am, dump at 8:30 (costume $10 to get rid of95% of the fabric I picked up the other day, quick trip to Dollarama for cheap shower curtains to make an easier way of moving plastic enclosure on my plant growing stand.
now enjoying jumping from project to project..best is pond is up and running, burned what was in fire pit, have all but 8 blackboard outside on tarps sprayed with blackboard paint, sure wish on this windless day I would have had the others basecoated in black..big sigh, another day.
Marie put in a full week of work here, nothing is green but buds in trees will open shortly, with a little work on my part gardens are all take, even a few pieces taken out to enjoy summer.
MST go look for butterfly food and also prepare the hummingbird feeders, tad early but want food ready for when they visit.
Time for hot bath
LK - Gentle hugs to you, dear lady.
Pat - it's terrible for them to treat a patient that way!
Betty you have been busy. Please don't over do it.
So nice to see you post.
Knew when I had enough and rested
Almost ready to sit and watch the flowers, grow and pick the yard weed
I worked in my back landscape all day. Got the majority of the pots planted. Rosy Dawn coleus order will be here Monday. Then I can finish the pots. Emma is sound asleep behind me because she followed me everywhere I went today.
Linda, take your time and take your time to remember the sweet memories.
Sorry everyone but got on here late and Miss Emma wants to go to bed an she is dog you cannot ignore.
Marie called in crisis mode and asked for help at the house. She left to go see Phil & I addressed the issues at home. Marie has a tendency to start projects and then be unable to finish when she is over stressed. I just puttered, put up the new shower curtain & all the spring decorations she had started. Matched receipts to the returns that needed to be made, sorted mail, emptied DW, cleared as much of the table as I could, finished making a wreath she had started and did laundry. I left in time to get to Goodwill to make her returns as today was the 14 day limit for returns.
Phil is in so much pain with the constipation. Marie had a print out of the MARS (it's the record of medication prescribed/ discontinued, pain report etc). I studied it and marked the questionable input. REALLY? He reported NO pain if you believe their record! I am sorry but I call bull$hit on that.
There will be a team meeting on Monday, I will attend with Marie and request they be a LOT more aggressive about the constipation and pain management. If they can't, then what facility / program can?? Phil is 87 years old, he is NOT going to be cured, he sure should be kept comfortable. If that means seeking a placement at hospice, then so be it.
My special order/ rush came today. Time to go find out if my pajamas, bathing suit skirt fit. I wanted them BEFORE I leave for the resort on the 21. That's assuming I do go.... with things uncertain and out of control with Phil & Marie, I might not leave.
the first 2 &4th are from the narrow area along the garage that I planted just 2 years ago. The 3th is facing out along the road. Does anyone know what bulb this little bloom is in #5? I can't remember just I sure like it! it's only about 6 inch tall and it is blooming same time as daffodils.

Beautiful blooms.
Don't know what it is, but it's pretty
Morning, high of 72°f
How are you doing Lindakay, am sure the 13th is weighing heavy on your mind, hugs.
Will you spend time with Todd’s sister while you are there for the memorial?
Photo’s are lovely Pat, lucky you to walk out, cut some tulips, set them in a vase to enjoy. Not sure what that plant is seeing many of what you have I don’t get, wish I did though. Doesn’t sound like a positive outlook for Marie and Phil, you are lucky to be close to Marie enough to be able to take over getting things done for her.
Had my coffee on front deck while getting the stone fountain going, took 5 minutes then just enjoyed… now I am heading outside to take the new lounger out of the box hoping no assembly required then scrubbing dow that 15’ trio sun umbrella, if I don’t succeed then guess I will order a new top, hoping not to.
This afternoon maybe uncover the riding lawnmower and attach the wagon to it. Greg was here early morning yesterday to put new wheel on it, get the trio Canada geese on their pole then was off to airport, going to a friends place in Florida, getting a friends 3 bedroom rv and taking it to Teladega in Alabama for the car races then back to florida to leave it and fly home..kept telling him tire could wait but it just had to be done he said adding that I am far too up on cleaning as we will have snow next week..shaking my head, Jeff he will be leaving for Aruba till Mother’s Day..how come they don’t take mamma with them lol.
Best i start my day before I end up doing nothing but i need clothes that if the ruin from my doing umbrella they can go 8n garbage, drats must have thrown almost all in garbage.
Good morning.
My sister will fly down here and stay for about 10 days. The first 6 days with me. Then she will drive an hour north where her oldest son lives, and spend time there.
Sounds like all your kids are traveling.
Don't over do it today cleaning that umbrella.
I am glad your sister will be with you Linda. Having family around can be helpful.
The train idea for Grayson sounds like so much fun!
Stanley is shedding LIKE CRAZY. I brush and brush and keep taking hair off him. I am sure all that cat hair is not helping my allergies. I am still sleeping in my recliner due to congestion. I feel rotten.
I am so antsy, wanting to get "over there" and get this process of cleaning & moving over with. I guess its a good thing I leave town on 21st and then return the 28th. A&A sign on the 28th.
Beautiful out there,
That will be nice for you Lindakay, has she been to Amarillo before? Maybe you could do a few outings…know you are a great tour guide from experience.been a few years since you’ve seen her right?
I bet you are antsy Pat, sorry to hear you are still unwell..you are on the go so much maybe you are also run down. It would be so heartbreaking for you if the deal falls through, prayers it doesn’t. Sorry I have to ask, not sure brain is up to par, where will you be going, sewing retreat?
just got a pop and will sit near the pond for a bit. The umbrella tags I am think is a lot cause, some is off but not all. If i were strong enough I’d take the upper part of the umbrella out across the lawn to make it more manageable.
I’d like to see if the top could come off, if so I would take the top off the metal and go use one of those large washing machines at the laundromat and if not been thinking of getting my stencils out and do some fern to take the eye away from mold, am sure it’s just most left because I brought out the pressure washer. Next step is put more cleaner on it and just leave it for a bit, very, very last is order a new one grr
Everyone else, hope you are enjoying your day..what special are you doing?
Couch is feel8ng might comfy so best I get back at it for an hour then I will finish my Kentucky fried chicken from yesterday.
My oldest son Dana & wife Carrie have a time share and were scheduled to use a 2 bedroom at a resort and the other couple had to cancel. I got to fill in. the resort has a indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and a free movie theater. The resort is less than 4 hours away, about a hour north of Spokane.
I am bringing my sewing machine & a couple of projects plus a collapsible table (since all 3 of us are bringing our different hobbies to work on!) The have really used their time share. C& D have been to Mexico several times, Costa Rico, & many trips to ocean/beach.
I never cut flowers for myself. I would rather enjoy them outside. Besides, Stanley has a tendency to think they are a "salad" for him! In Pic #2, can you see all those oriental lilies coming up in bottom right corner? I keep hoping "this will be the year" I get gravel & weed barrier cloth down to make all that open area around it easier to keep tidy.
My sister was in San Antonio last May when Todd spent 30 days in the hospital for his colon cancer surgery. She was here just a few days.
I haven't learned Amarillo streets yet, so my son can be our chauffeur.
Love love love your memorial garden..saying to self “Betty, you have the mold to make bench but then I already have 2 benches, you don’t need another” so I’m thinking that when I get tiller I could work around front bench that does not a garden but does have an arch and can turn it into my memorial garden, sound like a plan.
I worked a lot with my arms up trying to get rid of mold on the 15’ umbrella, Re-arranged as much as I can to the back deck because of generator, Greg won’t be back for 10 days so unless I find me some men I won’t be able to finish moving furniture around. Now i am waiting for a friend to drop in..i told her I should be cleaned up by 3-4..seeing I just finished having HOT bath, pain med patches on, pain meds taken, cbd/thc taken i am hoping she will not be here more than an hour then this gal will position bed so that it helps my back..
I’m so envious of you all who have flowers out, mine will be 4-6 weeks from happening, that being said a my forsythia (1) are in bloom but they are such a short bloom, hardly worth having.
Your trip sounds like a trip from heaven Pat, try not to cancel, you need some down time and being able to bring sewing projects makes it that much more special.
Sure is windy out, can see the sg windows moving from side to side, hope they are secure enough.
Karen how are things going your way?
Yesterday I went into Calgary, to meet the group "Camping With New Friends".at a pub. LOUD music in the pub. Today I think I'm feeling the effects of being placed right next to the band. My left ear feels like it is plugged or something. Hearing is fuzzy. Hopefully it will clear up.
A friend at church is interested in my circa 1874 piano. It's an upright grand & I just don't know how to play it. It's about 800 lbs, and I think (even though he said he "beefed up" the floor to take the weight), that it's pulling the addition (den) away from the rest of the house. It was my mom's, but no point having it if I don't play. I'll give it to my friend if she wants it. She needs to come & see/hear it, of course. That means I have to clean up my mess in the den LOL
Betty, We are doing good. Daughter is staying for a few days. Really a big help to me.
Walt was refusing to do as he should. I shouldn't have but I blew my stack at him. I said if he wasn't going to help himself, I was just going to send him to a recovery home and let them deal with him. Today has been a different day. Wasn't easy to yell at him but he was getting into a not good place. He was very contrite and ate better and did a goodly amount of exercising. Also did most of what he needed to all by himself.
