Sorry nothing to tell as yet. Seller sent an impossible list of things we needed to repair mostly using licensed contractors. Our agent sent back a list of what we would actually do and if they wanted the bigger items done the purchase terms would be changing. So now in another waiting game.
Best/Worse/What did I learn today?? Garden time, let’s sit and enjoy our gardens, decks and great company..all welcome!!
Karen, Oh goodness, let the games begin!!! Here's hoping you can come to reasonable compromise that is win/win for all.
LindaK, good to hear that Todd continues to move forward!
Keeping Sharon in my prayers as well. It's just HARD, no way around it.
Prayers for Sharon, I can't imagine making that decision and having to schedule it and wait. When you know they've been suffering, sometimes it's a bit of a relief to know they're out of pain.
Our Molly pretty much let us know when it was time. The look in her eyes told us. Our wonderful vet came to the house and we could love and hold her the whole time.
Found out buyer has until midnight Thursday to decide if they are going forward.
Mourning..
Mega rain last evening and this morning, grass sure needed it.
Very overcast, they just delivered my roof supplies, not sure will come as weather is too iffy.
Woke up at 3:30 a.m. seeing Sharon was on line, so we spoke for about 1/2 hour..
Oops seniors are here
Buyer has backed out.
Oh nuts Karen, I am so sortry. The realtor will take pending status off & others that were interested will step forward. I know it's a disappointment, we'll prayer a new buyer is lined up rapidly.
Sorry to hear that Karen. Like Pat said, there will be others.
Drats Karen, maybe it’s best your offer on the other home didn’t go through.
Sharon will go to Locke N.Y. next weekend then wants to go to Cuba on the 27th..wants me to go, says it will be my Christmas present..don’t know
They delivered my roofing materials, he has to finish a job somewhere so a bit longer.
Betty - yes, for no additional charge, they will deliver. :)
Got the 1st set of curtains up, behind the bed, now to make the 2nd set for the south facing window.
Why does she want to go to Cuba?
I miss everyone that used to be here.
I do too Linda. I miss our good quilting friends. We lost so many to that Round Robin fiasco.
Many just moved over to the "other website" and did not feel the need to be members of both. I have not been there in a couple of years! I might stop in & see who I still know over there.
I got the Marie's about 1 and worked until 10. I had a few problems with the longarm. I am becoming an expert on "set new start point". NOT something I ever wanted to do!!! AND we have learned how to "air trace" so we can tell exactly where it will stitch out without putting stitches in. Sooooo all and all, we are learning & improving. LONG ways to go!! This quilt is 102 x 102, so it is taking some serious time for the newbies. I have it basted with stitch in the ditch so we can progress without too many worries. We used a high loft batting so we only have a couple of inches on all 4 sides of the 108 fabric we used.
Morning, will be a high o of 72 today, perfect day to putz, have a little girl at 9 to sew and at 11:30 a mom is bringing her daughter so we can chat and see if she would love to take lessons then the day is mine
You are on a mission Susan, a transformation decorating the way you want to, bet it is lovely.
Lindakay, Sharon always said the week Inuk would pass she would either go to Ireland, Africa but that was before Covid etc. just feels she is not up to a tour routine,
There is a resort in Cuba she has been to many times so thought that would be a goad start.. my problem is the resort is 2 hr drive from airport, no shopping, just beach beach and more beach..late July early august is when my allergy to the sun happens..have to decide today
I miss everyone as well, yes the other day I cut down tree limb around my friendship post, some have passed on bur many have chosen greener pastures..sad when you make such a bond for years on end and they just move on..will have to take a photo of my DG friendship pole
Pat sounds like you are feeling better and really tackling the longarm. Look forward to seeing end project.
Best I go downstairs and check what needs to be cleaned before Amelia gets here.
Pat, I know many moved over. It's very nice over there for the most part. Some of us are quilters (Can I still call myself a quilter?). I don't understand why the charge is so high on this site and other is no charge. This is only room I come into.
Sounds like you are coming to terms with your long arm machine. Got one once but never figured it out and finally just sold it.
Well if Marie had not bought it new and spent a FORTUNE on it, and there are 2 of us to support each other, I don't think we would have stuck with it this far. Yesterday Marie was feeling so down. She stated she did not think she could make quilts. It took a higher level of precision that what she was capable of.
I am trying to convince her to take on MUCH EASIER project so she can gain some confidence. She does not understand yet it takes TIME and the learning and skills come with practice. She was not there to witness my learning curve and discouragement.
THAT said, I honestly had to give up on putting together the quilt blocks for my friend. What you don't see clearly in the pictures is that there are rays of different light backgrounds radiating from the centers of the corner blocks (that are 6 pieces per corner), with the colored arc on them with Fleurs coming from them THAT connected in the middle of the fleur, THAT is crazy!!! . I am finding it impossible to get those darn things lined up! The corners are not up on the preview board, as you can see, she choose very different colors that the illustrated patterns. She also changed up were some of the big circle blocks get placed. It's like working on a giant puzzle that is not in the right colors.. The center of that quilt is 16 blocks. As shown, it had not yet been started to have the blocks sewn together, that is what I am doing, then the final assembly.
What ever you decide Betty, I hope you are comfortable with the choice. A former Co-worker of mine, her husband is from Cuba. He is American citizen now. They just got back from a visit there.
Susan, can't wait to see some pics of your new curtains and all!
Did I show you the pic of the banner I made for the Silver Willow Senior Centre? If not, here it is, on the Open House day with our MP visiting. He's the TALL one in the back lol
btw - the 4 small pics on either side didn't show up well, so I've darkened them & will take another pic, later.

Beautiful quilt Pat. I couldn't do all those small pieces.
Susan, that banner is very nice. Love the group photos.
You don’t pick easy do you Pat, lovely but not something i would not do, mega work, almost looked. Like embroidery.
Love group photos as well, you all look spiffy.
Yard is do darkened from trees, i worked on the weekend doing a lot of cutting of limbs, today i asked Marie if she would help me with a limb, her hubby Ted came over and between 3 of us we sure did a number on limbs..no fire ban but wind is up so guess no burning tonight
Just came in when my girlfriend Dianne dropped in for a visit, was nice visiting with her.
Told Sharon I would not go to Cuba with her..she is disappointed but my allergy to sun worries me.
Glad you've decided not to go to Cuba, Betty. An alergy to sun is nothing to toy with.
I've now finished both sets of curtains, put them up and they hang beautifully. They also are very good room-darkeners.
That's a lot of branches you trimmed. Hope you're not hurting too bad.
Congratulations on getting your curtains done Susan.
Betty, you cut down a forest. That will make one big fire. I have no desire to leave the US unless it was to go to Canada. Do not like to go to areas that can stop you from leaving. I am so sorry about Sharon's puppy. I had someone come to the house and I had the appointment for 2 days. I was so sad that I waited for 2 days because Cecil just got sicker each day. It was selfish on my part and I am still sad I delayed it.
We are beyond hot. Yesterday was 112. Today was 108. Supposed to get cloudy at 1pm but clouds never showed up. I have been walking Emma after dark. Our low yesterday was 90 and tonight it will be 88. My battle with the tomato worms has slowed down. Not a one found last night. First night in over a month. Granddaughter and two great grand babies came over for a visit. I picked some more tomatoes for them because they are loving the fresh tomatoes.
Karen, so sorry about your buyer but that is getting to be normal in this current market. The market here has slowed down but it was outrageous how much houses were being bid up by California buyers because our homes are twice as large for the same price of California. They have also driven up rental costs.
Susan, show us your new curtains. I need to go buy some material to recover my kitchen stools. Good job on the banner.
Pat, that is beautiful but I would go cross-eyed trying to that with just coloring with colored pencil, let alone sew it. I saw you garden photos on Facebook. Looks great.
It is getting time for Emma's walk and dinner. Hugs to all. And yes, birthday party is on the 30th even though my birthday is Aug. 4th. Everyone is coming. Family making a big deal out of it.
I think some of you misunderstood!! The pictured quilt is a lot of embroidery and applique, it was done "in the hoop". I did NOT do that portion. Debbie had that work done & I was assemble the pieces. .
The longarm did ONE row perfect and then did nothing but screw up. I tried and tried, called trainer yatta yatta. Gave up, took it off the longarm frame. The quilt is so big that there was inadequate room to do a good job testing in the margins.
I put together another test piece of 2 pieces of fabric (not pieced work) and left it for Marie to work with. I leave tomorrow for several days. I am so disappointed; I was supposed to deliver it tomorrow.
I am not packed; my car is filthy. I am just a broken person today. Tomorrow had better be better day all around.
Oh Pat, many hugs. Broken is a very hard place to be.
Pat, sorry you are having longarm problems. I hope you can figure it out soon.
Afternoon, just came in, worked outside from 8-10, cut more limbs..at 10 my little sewer came til noon, as she left Marie was at the door, we did burning til 3, they worked hard so thought I’d treat the to pizza, gee whiz a medium with about 8 items on it was $40.36..everything is going up, pretty soon there won’t be treats. I have a woman coming for her lesson at 6-8pm, I’ll be ready for bed tonight for sure.
Pat, sorry today hasn’t been a good day for you…i really think you should find someone local that had same machine, watch them work even if you have to she out some $$$
Oh Lordy one would hope their a/c doesn’t go on the blink Sharon..nice to see the great grands I bet..so want barely pink tomatoes, one of our garden sites is suppose to have ontario tomatoes and corn..know what i will stock up on tomorrow
Have time for an hour nap
Oh my! That's a lot of money for a pizza.
Sounds like you got a lot done today. Hope you're not too sore.
Not sore Lindakay
How is Todd and yourself?
Deb, how are things going your way?
Wide awake now, Beth made a book reader pillow..i am amazed, she works for her dad who digitizes designs for many major embroidery companies..lovely lady
She embroidered her design so we just had to do book insert..she was pleased with her evening.
Talked to mom who told me i hadn’t talked to her since early week..yes i did! She is coming on thursday, guess she will stay part of a week
Sharon did you send me a request? Didn’t accept it because not sure it’s one of those scams?
Dianne just have directed sand man her way

Heading out tomorrow afternoon to the Fish & Game weekend with my friend Dianne. She's taking her motorhome, I'll take my car for ease of getting around, and it's only a 15 min drive away for me. I'll be back Sunday afternoon. I could sure use the couple of days away.
Today we went to Innisfail to their Farmer's Market, then out for lunch, a group of us. We were going to go to Wildlife Discovery Park (a zoo) but some didn't want to do all the walking & it was just going to be Dianne & I but we also had to go to Red Deer to get frozen fried chicken for the Silver Willow picnic on the 21st. It was from 9:30am to 4:00 before we got home. I'm tired, so heading off to sleep. Good night everyone.
(btw - Betty, I get a fully loaded large Extravaganza pizza from Domino's for 40% off because I'm from out of town = $14.75. I like their pizzas!)
Good morning everyone.
Betty, we are both doing good. Todd has been sleeping through the night for a few days now. He feels much better for it. He is getting around a lot more. He gets tired easy, and will sit and rest, but doing better.
Too bad you can't get a few discounted embroidery designs from your friend.
Susan, sounds like you had a busy day. Enjoy your outing today.
Afternoon, just came in, gardens are a lot of work lol
Great news Susan, a few days away will relax you, glad you are hett8ng to go camping as i know you enjoyed going in yours.
I have to say Susan I ordered double of all their ingredients except hot peppers, but they had something of the pizza that was hot hot,i don’t like spicy and hot but it wasn’t bad.
Great new on Todd Linda Kay, will he soon be up for a ride? Nice feeling when you watch gaining strength on not on deaths door.
About half of the main garden that you see coming down staircase of back deck I trimmed, now need to buy some plants, ad it looks sad, also so much ground cover, I’ll go to Home Depot and garden center this afternoon to look low yielding plants.
Marie was watching over me, my balance is off today, can’t believe that you barely touch a branch and skin is so thin it just slices a good chunk of flesh..on my shopping list is plasters, big plasters lol. Got 3 wheel barrels so maybe another fire tonight.
Sharon went to get her perm just up the street at 11:00am, was hoping she would drop in for a face to face talk vs messenger but she didn’t..when she made appt she asked that Joanne not take notice if she broke down and cries
Betty, so sorry you are hurting your tender skin. I hate when I do that. Sometimes I don't even notice until someone tells me I am bleeding.
What is annoying is it takes a good amount of flesh with it grrr
Went to town, did groceries, my guy didn’t come and do my ditch. Drats
No sooner got home Greg dropped in, then Marie and Cathy just left so now I’m enjoying ontario corn, cucumbers..the new potatoes and yellow beans will be for tomorrow.. was hoping there would be almost green tomato’s just starting to turn pink..that is about all i need for a great meal
