Well if Marie had not bought it new and spent a FORTUNE on it, and there are 2 of us to support each other, I don\'t think we would have stuck with it this far. Yesterday Marie was feeling so down. She stated she did not think she could make quilts. It took a higher level of precision that what she was capable of.

I am trying to convince her to take on MUCH EASIER project so she can gain some confidence. She does not understand yet it takes TIME and the learning and skills come with practice. She was not there to witness my learning curve and discouragement.

THAT said, I honestly had to give up on putting together the quilt blocks for my friend. What you don\'t see clearly in the pictures is that there are rays of different light backgrounds radiating from the centers of the corner blocks (that are 6 pieces per corner), with the colored arc on them with Fleurs coming from them THAT connected in the middle of the fleur, THAT is crazy!!! . I am finding it impossible to get those darn things lined up! The corners are not up on the preview board, as you can see, she choose very different colors that the illustrated patterns. She also changed up were some of the big circle blocks get placed. It\'s like working on a giant puzzle that is not in the right colors.. The center of that quilt is 16 blocks. As shown, it had not yet been started to have the blocks sewn together, that is what I am doing, then the final assembly.

What ever you decide Betty, I hope you are comfortable with the choice. A former Co-worker of mine, her husband is from Cuba. He is American citizen now. They just got back from a visit there.

Susan, can\'t wait to see some pics of your new curtains and all!
