Karen, just a thought .. some blood pressure meds will cause you to have a dry cough.
I wish you all the best ..

HI to everyone'

Victoria Harbour, ON

How is your day going everyone..sure is a hot one.

Went to do :groceries, warning sign came on re brake fluid, thankfully Tom smith’s dealership could look at it because I wouldn’t be able to drive it..was brake cylinder loosing oil , were able to fix $200. If they had to order new parts they quoted between and that would be $800-1,000 so was happy.. was a long few hours waiting though..because,of Covid I had to sit outside, nobody inside except to pay, luckily they had chairs under one of the car bays so survived, just..

Stopped at the vegetable stand and bought Ontario corn, corn from Leemingron, $7.99 a dozen, new potatoes, cucumbers and tomatoes.I could live on sandwiches..hope corn is good..

waving hi “M”

Should go out and cut grass then I could call it a day..

No need Linda. I have zero symptoms, no fever, no congestion, cough is dry and unproductive. So far no one has felt the need to test me.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

All those fresh veggies sounds good. Corn is pricey for you. It is 4 for a dollar here. Sometimes cheaper.
Quite a few people put water bowls out for stray dogs, as we have so many.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Wow that is cheap for corn, am sure veggies will be high priced this year..
Going to play downstairs today, sun is shinning through front window, street is so quiet, I make a point in not cutting grass until 9am as not to wake anyone so they best get up

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

The corn I got was a bit more $5 a dozen but for the first local not a bad price and it was sooooo good.

Bryan mowed ours yesterday. It's funny now I hear a neighbor mowing. seems one starts it and it moves down the road.

happy Birthday Debbie..I’d be state side celebrating with you and LINDA and I could tell you stories about Roger, imagine the 3 of you on same day!

Same here Karen, about 4 mowers and a few welders..cutting and trimming done, I’m soaking wet,it’s hot out there..my corn wasn’t the best so guess I will have have to wait till our area corn is ready..you know, I didn’t see much of local berries this year, maybe they were in stores but I wasn’t. How are you feeling today?

Liz, haven’t heard how you are doing?? Need to check in as I worry..

Think I will have a cucumber sandwich then maybe as I cut out about 10 more masks I’ll get simple sewing done and sit outside and pin all the pleats in the,..

Jeff comes tomorrow so must go through my lust of ‘to do’s’ for him, nope I didn’t ask him, when he called he asked me to have a list together and not on my iPad but on paper as he loves crossing things off 😂

Best I go put another outfit on as this one is soaking wet

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Happy birthday Debbie. Hope you have a wonderful day.
I would love to meet you some day. I know we would have a good time.

Glad to hear he is coming to help you Betty.

I'm feeling better today. Way too hot to sit even in the shade on the porch. Kids are in the pool but not for me the water is over 85. No refreshing there. Not a lot of appetite as yet but I did eat a couple scrambles eggs this morning. So good when they are so fresh. New chicks have started laying, It's so cute the eggs are about half size.
Our local quilt shop got in a cute mask print fabric. I had Jess pick me up a yard to take my daughter. Was about $9. per yard so not so bad.

Verona, ON

Sweltering hot here. The rest of the week more of the same.

I bank with CIBC in Kingston. Today when I went to the BMO ATM in the village it ate my debit card. Said it was invalid. So just to help my cheery mood (not) I tried to use telephone banking. I haven't used telebank for years and couldn't remember my 3 numbered password.Unless I could remember it I was out of luck. Never was able to get a person on the phone. So then I remembered I could chat with an agent online. Excellent experience. I was #4 in line but it wasn't long. Plus with everything being typed I could understand what I needed to do.So on Mon I will go into Kingston to get a new debit card.

Had a haircut today - well it really wasn't a cut. I had my hair shaved off. It feels good I have a new hat I've been waiting to wear

Too early for corn in my neck of the woods.

What was the mask print fabric Karen ?

Happy birthday Debbie !!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear about your bank card Dianne. I had that happen before, but I was right outside the bank and had it fixed in minutes.

Adorable Karen, reasonable price per panel..

Yikes Dianne, nothing worse than machine eating your card, hardly anyone arrives cash anymore..that being said the vegetable/fruit store on highway only takes cash..glad you were able to get good service..when they said this summer would be a hot one they meant it. Weather here is much like yours, storms tomorrow then high temps all week.your hair will grow, not easy getting appointments.

Karen, watching chicks is entertainment in itself..too hot indeed in the pool, best you just watch the others. Kathy dropped in for an hour, said she was down swimming in the lake and it too was very warm.

Not sure what people are celebrating but fire crackers again.

Linda’s birthday today as was Roger’s... I sat outside and pinned masks, I’ll get them sewn and promised myself that is the end for awhile.

Went out hoping I could sit near the pond but skitters were about to carry me away.

drats, had repairs done to my car yesterday and looked at new ones, should have not googled because every 2nd post on facebook are the cars and a zillion others..wonder how you can delete?

Betty, on the upper right of each ad on FB there is three dots. click on them and there are options to not see the ad again. Ads will still pop up but I mostly ignore them until I get annoyed than away they go.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I love that fabric

Verona, ON

Good morning. Another sweltering day again. There is an extreme heat warning in place for today.

Karen the fabric is delightful. How are you feeling ?

The thing that was so frustrating about losing my bank card as I could not get to talk to a real person. Now I have to find a bank that is open in Ktown because not all CIBCs are open during this pandemic.

The TH and I slept in this morning. In fact I woke them up..

Don't know what's up today but I am sure I will find something to do inside. When I opened the door a wall of hea hit me.

Thanks for the input about the ads on FB. I just usually click on the x.

Deb how are you and your dogs making out in this heat ?

Stay safe, well and cool.

Betty, if you're using a regular computer, not a tablet, there is a program called F.B.Purity which will hide the ads, and a lot of other things from Facebook. Its a free program, though they do ask for donations. I've been using it for years.

Afternoon, almost evening
A scorcher of a day..

Jeff and I were at Home Depot when storm hit, lights went out, generator took over but at the Tim Hortons the main transformer was hit, exploded..kind of scary

Winds were high, saw a few table umbrellas up the street out on the road, thankfully mine were ok but a lot more limbs to be picked up.

Jeff just left, got all my to do list done and more..kept him busy all day except for the t8me we went to Home Depot..needed a fitting for hose but he bought me a new kind, was $60 for 50 ft. Am thinking of getting another. He didn’t want to fix the rake as he said it would be weeks so threw most of my gardening tools in a pile and bought new, even bought orange gorilla tape and taped handles so they would be visible. Rogers had sent me 3 boxes to install in hopes I’d have left trouble, they said installation would be easy, NOT but Jeff got them all up and running. I heard him dealing with agent and I have to say I loved listening to him, every word was said in a way to boost the Moro of the other person. We had a nice visit..

He just called to say traffic going back to city was like a parking lot..all the cottagers must have come up.

Thanks for info on ads
Going to have a nap then try what you recommended

Feeling much better today. It is a furnace outside so staying in. I did go down and prepare a quilt for presentation the end of this week. Tomorrow I start gathering it together for going north. We will be traveling loaded . I have so much I want to take up. I've been going through and sorting photos to take to all I think might want them. A few birthdays to catch up on. I'm so excited.

Back to Michigan Karen?

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Yes Betty, I'd go tomorrow if I had stuff packed.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, sunshine day ..going to do a mosquito spray test on myself,if they decide I’m bot worthy as a meal think I’ll go deadhead at least the front gardens.

Karen, how long will you be away?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Good morning. 79 right now. Supposed to be 102 today. Not much going on here.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Betty, we plan to stay at least a week and a half, maybe more. Everyone is planning to get as much in as they can while we are there. Amelia and Lorelei will be Baptised, Marcus' grad party, a few birthdays. And a lot of just sitting around campfires. In no rush to return, nothing pressing to do here.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Enjoy your visit Karen.

A few fancy masks i made.

Very very glamorous Lindakay...did it reach 102?

was in town today, I sat in my car and watched people get out of their vehicles, grabbing their masks with the same effort one does putting on a seat belt..felt proud to see the forts being taken in community.

Karen, it might do you good to spent 2-3 weeks with family, know you are missing them, will lift your spirits..

Waiting for Greg, bought another hose when I was in town so want him to hook it up.was a long wait at Roger’s but did I’ve now a phone should I need it in an emergency, kind of forced into getting one lol

Weather turned a corner, I actually have a/c off and windows open...feels great!
