I need to get a start on a tee shirt quilt needed before the end of the month. I had said last year i would try to make it and it totally slipped my mind. It will be the last one for D.I.
Also need to shop for groceries needed to make Maurice Salad for the Competition at the school this Sat.
Tomorrow we are going to the big quilt show in Pigeon Forge. Probably shouldn't as we are both so busy but it's such a good show we hate to miss it.

On my way to San Antonio for Dr. appointments.

How did you make out at the Dr’s Lindakay? you don’t stay right, make the round trip?

Karen you do know end of the month is not that far away... Pidgeon Forge, just the name makes one think of country and quilters..ohhh see if there is any new gadget on don’t find these type of shows here, wish there were!

Well I took a bath in new tub, Lordy it’s deep, 1/2 filled it already more water than the old one...he has the sides and back glued..drying, tomorrow he will put the two shelving pieces and some tile as this tub is narrower..that drywall dust is all over the place..washed floors twice and vacuumed..

Got to get my act together, was going to do another trip to dump but think I need to get the border off the walls in case Jeff comes Saturday.. need to decide as well which colour to paint the room, I’ve lived with the sample colours on the wall most of the week think I’ve made my choice now I have to order the paint. Think I need a gallon white as well for the ceiling in the washroom and the trim I’m having put on the windows.

My voice is wispy tonight, hope I’m not coming down with anything...
Already in bed Ziggy by my side, he’s a tad confused since I’ve change the bed around, oh well I think we both deserve a good nights sleep

Dianne did you get this springlike day? TH must be love bing it..
Good Lord willing we will gab tomorrow

Interesting day today. Starting with my Sis calling to see if it was ok they came over today. Of course I said sure. A few minutes later I saw a posting on our local site. Someone asking about vets. Several mentioned a mobile vet and were giving her high praise. We looked her up and called as it's so hard to get Molly in and out of the car. she just can't manage it and she's too heavy to lift. The vet said she could come around noon. We got ourselves and the house a bit presentable by the time my sis was here. Shortly the vet was here. Molly had a growth we wanted checked and she confirmed the bone cancer. She was so sweet and gentle with Molly and reassuring to us. She gave us some meds for her and prescriptions too for pain. I asked her if she could come when it was time for Molly and she said yes she'd be glad too and also gave us the name of a place for cremation. But she said to not worry about it yet as she felt Molly could be kept pretty pain free. Vet had a lab in her van as and she was working out there, we chatted with her assistant and found her dad was a Vietnam Vet. So I will be in the near future presenting him with a quilt. Soon they left
And my BIL who I had given a quilt at our big reunion asked if I would give one to his army buddy when they come to visit. Of course I said yes, just let me know when they would be coming as they live in TX. and we would set it up for then.
After all had left we ran to store to get stuff for making a Maurice Salad I'm doing for this week-ends Color Guard competition. Home and right back out to a fund raiser for the drum line local pizza place.
I had a pizza unlike any ever. White sauce, chopped garlic, artichoke, feta cheese, mozzarella cheese. It was heaven. A 12" was 6 pieces and perfect for hubby and I.
After we were back home, I made the salad dressing so it can blend and mellow.
All in all a pretty long day. We are now debating if we will go to the quilt show, we'd love to but we have such a busy week-end coming, we really shouldn't.

I went back to our local site to thank them for the name of the vet and say how pleased we were with her. I got a message back from a gal saying she was the assistants sister and would only let that vet treat her pets. I said back that I would be meeting her soon and to ask her sister about it.

Holy wow, quite different from original day plan..life happens
How lucky you were to come across such a compassionate vet. Sorry to hear about Molly, heartbreaking when our loved furries get diagnosed with cancer..hoping the meds keep her without pain.

Can’t sleep, almost tempted to get up and start on wallpaper border, sure hopemit comes time fo easily..

Karen, I vote GO TO THE QUILT SHOW!!! We have one here 3/20 to 21. It's the same time daughter comes. I don't know if I'll take an hour or two off work so I can get it done before she comes. 3/21 is also the funeral of a friend's mother in Yakima, about 1.5 hours away. Guess we'll see.
Son's gone until Sunday night, left yesterday. I'm on my 2nd load of laundry & need to leave for work. TGIF.

Nice seeing you post Pat, go for the craft show..wonder if Karen did??

Says we might get a sprinkle of this afternoon, t(en nice weather all weekend so it will melt really quickly if we do get any amount.

Brian is coming hopefully today the glue the shelves in the corners then says he will be back tomorrow..am hoping this job won’t linger..an ever ending project...big sigh

Jeff confirmed he will come tomorrow so best I get supplies..have a lot of hours to put in for removal of border... maybe Home Depot will have something it’s over a decade and well attached.. any thoughts of what you might have tried with success??

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I've had success removing wall paper with vinegar in a spray bottle as long as it's not vinyl.
Didn't go to the quilt show. We had a lot to do and couldn't stay long so passed for this year.

Sorry you missed the quilt show Karen, disappointing..

Lot of hard scrapping, just finished, took 6 hrs..knowtomorrow I will be crying in pain but it had to come off incase Jeff does come tomorrow, he says he should be well enough, regardless it’s done.

Going to sweep up all that wallpaper I was just throwing on the floor I’m sure some will stick to the floor, then going to bed. I’ll get up early in the morning and wash the walls and put a coat of primer on the areas that I filled in then it’s ready to paint if not by Jeff and buy me next week.

Brian came tonight for a few hours and put the sides on the tub enclosure so it can cure overnight, he’s not sure if he’ll come tomorrow if not he’ll come Monday and finish the ceiling and all the trim in that room is done. Didn’t know if you take on the little café ceiling but he said he would next week, guess I’ll be eating cat food for a while as I overspent my budget lol

Eyes are getting heavy, best I cut my break short, go sweep up and call it a day

Hope you’ve all had a sunshine day!
