Had a terrible night, that poor motor in it got a workout, couldn’t get my shoulder comfy. Today I’ll tame it over, that being said Sharon and I have challenge going on to get that flannel penguin kit we bought September started. Could be a Christmas gift, have started on my list lol

Storm is here Betty and is stalling over us until late Sat. There has been some freezing rain mixed in.as well. The winds are just a howling.

Not much planned for today. The TH ran out into their yard and very quickly ran right back in. I am going to cave today and have the oil on. I hurt too much to be hauling wood inside. The oil truck came at 6 am yesterday. The tank was pretty full so it didn't take much oil.

Spoke to Jeff this morning, he is hoping if he can catch up at work that Sunday he will come up, get Greg and change my room, put up curtain rods and pull down file which I found hidden in closet..must have put it there when I changed from regular window to patio door

Paul has a couple of clients this morning and asked me last week if I’d come in, sounded alright last week lol

So brought the penguin kit to look at to pass the t8me..was starting to put bench pillow together, appliqué, quilt and then add embellishment..want it done b6 saturday

Home, shovelled out, almost a foot and more coming down..bath running then maybe I will get ambitious..too funny, thought I make a bunny with these lol

The man who delivers papers always walks the drive and put paper on back deck out of snow and rain.. didn’t see him but was ready for him..I covered $5 and a note and hung it from screen door, told him to take it..am sure he’d appreciate it..know I appreciate a dry paper

We had one house that had a milk door by the side door. Trained our paper carriers to put paper in the house through that door. Some friends and I literally sat up all night talking. Suddenly one jumped and said "there was a hand came through your wall with a paper". We laughed a lot and finally went to bed.

We always just thought how handy that milk door was. Even put a kid through a time or two when keys were misplaced. Never occured to us to be worried about a break in. Different times.

Morning all, snowing heavily, heard Andrew plow about 6 so I went out and got some shovelling done, you can’t see where I’ve shovelling right now. Ziggy wants out, am sure not how long he will be out..time to go shovel again, sun is peering in the window, so very pretty..one could almost nap.

I managed to sew sections together this morning for bench pillow, tidied up a bit, going to have my 2nd cup of coffee maybe have bacon,eggs and home fries then get the piece quilted, can then put embellishments done and call it done

Sunshine day here, was shovelling at 5am, moved my car when Andrew came at 6 so yard looks like a parking lot.

Decided I’d take a quick run to town, got everything done and back by ten..sitting here enjoying the sunshine beaming through but I’d best start moving or this is where I’ll spend the day...grrr Ziggy laying here wanting to be petted, clawing at my leg ouch ouch

Left for town early this morning and of course came in and didn’t check my messages, mom called to ask if I have as she had called to tell me her brother Don passed away this morning.

Gerry the youngest of them all goes in Monday for cancer surgery of the prostrate, his 4th surgery..She said she called Aunt Muriel to check up on her and aunt Muriel is in bed sick so mom is going to come here drop off the dog then go to my aunt Barbs and spend an hour or so with her then come back here. Likely will spend a few days.

Sorry to hear that he has passed Betty. Sending our condolences and prayers.
Not doing much today. Out for lunch, then grocery shopping.

Told mom at11 bad weather this afternoon for her to leave, what does she do, leaves at 2:30, snowing and blowing again. Grrr

Thought I’d take a hot bath and relax before she gets here, must have turned the tap too far, can’t even put my toe in so now I have to waited for it to cool.😜

Marie & I had a good time at Expo. I was happy we were in the Charter bus, the pass was a mess coming home and as a bus we voted to keep driving rather than stop for dinner. At one point we were along side/behind 4 plow trucks. 

I did a better job of spending my money slower and more thoughtfully than last year. Last year I was more like a kid in a candy store.  I did buy 3 different 108 inch wide 3 yard bundles of quilt backing that went on sale Saturday for 3 for 100.00.  By not buying Friday when I got there, I did miss out on one I wanted, it was sold out. I only bought 2 new quilt patterns. Not necessarily a wise purchase considering how many FREE patterns are available online etc and how many I already have in magazine form. Still... the one was definitely a necessity. It was very unique and NOT available any other way. A Wall hanging with sewing theme.

I got to spend most of Saturday with son & wife, see the home they just bought. A lot of cosmetic stuff to do but LOTS of great potential and good bones. There was a huge addition onto the original ranch style home that added a great room with French doors out to the deck and opened the kitchen. They had most of the flooring replaced before they moved in.

We are fine, had a lot of rain through the night. We are about 2 1/2 hours from Nashville. I do have some cousins and friends in that area but all are safe.

Evening all, thank you for birthday wishes...just got in, went to pick paint for my bedroom, Jeff is hoping if he is feeling better he will be up Saturday to pain my bedroom, badly in need...

Greg and Mel took me out for supper last night, he and Mel re arranged my bedroom, not all fits back in it lol

So this morning before the girls came and before garbage men came just minutes after 7 I grabbed 2 garbage bags, filled them with what could have gone to Salvation Army, set them at the road and they were picked up..just know a lot would have come back in the house had I saved it for delivery in town..much more waiting to be purged..starting with 1/2 of my bedroom.

Love that Home Depot sell jars of test paint..the lady said to do squares on each wall to see how the light hits it..so tomorrow morning I’ll be on a mission.

For you sewers pat gave me a lighthouse panel, so soft looking, goodness knows what I will do with it, June gave me a big box of buttons, some gorgeous buttons..
Ohhh and remember I said a few weeks ago in Peterborough I saw a guru 2’ bunny and didn’t buy it as with tax it was $100, well 3 people gave me $$$ to buy one so guess I’ll take a trip Sunday and get it and buy a few floral pieces I fell 8n love with...got spoilt.

I IS tired so it’s bedtime for me

Morning, know snow is coming but along with it a few days of sunshine..can hear some birds chirping so good sign.

Yes Pat, if I want something I buy it, what I can’t find a lot of time is manpower so I not only love getting odds and ends projects done but time with boys and Mel.
Just spent an hour taking everything out of washroom closet as the shelving will have to come out to tup and surround that is there removed,,I don’t do well with mess, spare room bed is covered so I shut that door, my room isn’t cutting it, no window coverings etc and in need of a paint job, today I will work on taking the wallpaper border off.

I have to pick Brian up at 8:30 as he does not drive and he will be demolishing the tub, overhang and maybe ceiling so what a mess I will be in..just have to be patient I guess

We have NO snow left. A foot last week and now mud.

Melting quickly here as well Debbie, mud city..thank goodness Ziggy isn’t hankering to get out or there would be mud everywhere..

We looked at corner shower units, not on this round of project but before Christmas.

This entire house is a disaster..Brian is working non stop, I imagine by Saturday I’ll be bathing in it..few hiccups but he has the answers to fix..I didn’t think he would get so much done in one day.

We went to buy supplies..$500 later, of course green drywall for walls before he puts the enclosure was a big ticket item..then handicap rail I wanted for support getting 8n out as it is higher, light fixture for basement etc etc all adds up.

On the note of tun height, the old tub was supported on 2x4’s which he removed so tub wouldn’t be as high so that was good, he thinks of everything..

He is finishing the drywall and calling it quits for the day..I have to drive him home, leave SHARON her van then do nothing but sweep up and bedtime..yes Debbie I’ll miss soaking tonight, big sigh

Ziggy is moping today, thInk he is upset, he loved laying on the tall box with tub in it on back shed, was his new perch, now we took it away. What he does have though to lay on is a dresser in front of my bedroom window..might have to make him a nice cushion for it, Lordy we treat our furries to the best don’t we.

Always seems to be some surprises when we work on the house. Praying you get it done soon, so you can get a nice hot bath.

Just loaded my poor little car, filled to the brim with what we took out of washroom, not sure how they sort insulation, punk drywall, plastic but I’m sure they will direct me.

Unless Brian can’t come today I’m sure I’ll be bathing in it..quite deep and long now not to drown myself should I doze off. Lol

Have a full day of running around, lunch with a friend at 1 , have to take the border down in the bedroom, that ought to be a challenge so I’ll need that bath when I call it a day.
