Glad to hear you are home. Please take care of yourself. Go back to the Dr. And make him do more testing. Maybe they missed something.
Best,Worse,What did I learn today..chat with friends old and new..come sit a spell..
That is beautiful.
Daylily's are beautiful, maybe down the road can make a garden of them.
Beautiful daylilies.
Those are pretty!! Years ago a Master Gardener thinned her day lilies and I got a whole FULL car trunk full! I created a special flower bed just for them.
Thanks, ladies. Pat..weren't you lucky!
Somehow I lost you all but I read all the posts.
LK will you get the final results at your next appointment ?
Betty you have made a wise decision not to continue the road trips. You need to take care of yourself first.
BL
Morning all, thanks for the support, makes me feel better making this decision.
Got a call last night, Jeff has been kayaking all week and said he isn’t getting any younger and didn’t want to cross Georgian Bay this morning with winds up so I went to port Severn, about 20 minutes from here then drove him to his truck about 45 minutes away and had coffee with him, he’ll pack up his gear and play golf this afternoon with friends then go do the Trent .. he does a kayak day with his employees which is Saturday and Greg will bring his pizza maker and do lunch for group of 20...if I were younger I’d join them lol.
Knew I had a leak somewhere coming from water tank of toilet, Darlene in speaking with her this morning had me check a few things, big crack on side of tank so she and John will go shopping for a one piece toilet, more modern and the fixings and will come tomorrow and put it in...aren’t friends grand!
So miss having daylilly’s so I’ll enjoy all of yours..that darn bug is still in the grounds and will eat them as soon as planted.
Rained last night and grass is tall so will wait til later in the day to cut but might f8nd my rubber boots and put flower baskets back to where they belong..still alive so that is good lol...Lordy looks like a jungle out there.
What are you all up to today? I feel like it should be late afternoon..I’ve already had lunch 😜. So much to do even if it was only a 11 days gone..
See you on my next Break!
Betty, That lily beetle only attacks the Oriental Lilys. The daylilies are fine. You can have all you want they won't touch the Daylilies.
The Hayfield Daylily place near me is closing this year. All their Daylilies are half price.
They ship for one price $14.00

Or you could come for a visit and we could go together. They are about 2 miles from me.
The two photos I posted are from them. Have a look. This one is from them as well.
Cheers,
Carol

I just noticed they are closed on Thursday and Fridays. Open all other days.
Hmmm that is great news, the garden centres near me have great choices and I imagine they will be at a lesser price about now..wonder why when I asked they wouldn’t tell me that, really appreciate your letting me know..I had a lot of the wild tiger lily’s blooms, should have asked myself how they were not attacked? did you lose any of your orientals?
Forgot to say, Braedon jeff’s Eldest is in his 5th year of university, to make things easier for next term he went back to BC as soon as he came back from Europe..Jeff was saying he didn’t doubt that once finished this year he will move to Germany as he was offered a position teaching English..long way from home.
Darlene called to say they picked up a one piece toilet and fixings and will come and install it in the morning..now to find out how much I owe as she said Merry Christmas and I won’t accept that great of value gift..
Glad to hear you have good friends to do things like that Betty. Here toilets start at about $120.00 and go up from there.
Dianne, I got my test results. Doc said he is going to treat my heart with meds. Just need to find one that works for me. For now no heart catheterization or pacemaker.
That is good news Lindakay , not easy though to find medicine that doesn’t have major side effects.
Lordy did a walk around the gardens, looks as though someone emptied a bag of grass seed in it..lots of work ahead of me..gave a big sigh, plants that I patiently waiting to bloom bloomed while I was away and almost dead.fall is being seen in the gardens, makes you sad. NOT going to kill myself trying to keep up..wanted them nice for when Joyce and the girls come end of the month but not going to happen..
The one piece toilet ranges $399 and up,add accessories and that would be a heck of a Christmas gift..would rather pay for it, John is kind enough to put it in at no charge, that is a gift in itself.
3 big planters were pushed down and flattened areas, something big was in garbage..this morning the containers on the back deck had been gone through so whatever it was it was looking for eats!

Put in a good day, Sharon and her son Brian dropped in while I was cutting grass, didn’t stay long as mosquitoes were in full force..looks a tad better out there, tomorrow I’ll weed if my neck/arm permits, paining tonight.
Darlene and John dropped in awhile ago to check to see if they have everything they need before coming to do installation of toilet in the morning..glad I have a downstairs one to use lol
Beautiful gardens Betty.
Your gardens look lovely Betty. Is that a dipladena or Mandevilla vining plant. I know they look similar. I really like them and have had them in the past. When I had the Japanese |Lily Beatle they left their eggs on the underside of the leaves and the bugs themselves would eat holes in the leaves. I used to go out often and squish the Beatles and wipe their eggs off the leaves. I did lose a few. No sign of them on the couple I have left. Mike the garden fella came today and weeded two beds and edged one and then planted my new daylily. He also did the whipper snipping. He sure is a Godsend.
Moved us over..
