If your weather is like ours, high winds and snowing then sitting working with wool is relaxing

I'm here, just lurking. Been pretty quiet lately, just working and taking care of the dogs. We have a dog show this weekend, but my girl is the only Afghan entered, we'll go, because it's close to home and she needs the practice. The daffodils have buds on them, but we're supposed to have snow again tonight, so not sure how well they'll fare.
Best get back to work.

Good morning. Time for the bad weather to go away.

Verona, ON

Sunny day this morning after a terrible weather day yesterday.Lost power last night for a couple of hours. I was ready for a longer one but Mother Nature fooled me. She didn't listen to the Weather Liars.

Been working on wood for next year. I swore to myself I will not end up like I did this year. Have most of the kindling I should need. I needed a new Skill saw and that made the job so much easier. I was cutting up wood left over from the reno last summer. My bush cord lengths will arrive in June. Didn't want to deal with it during black fly season.

Stay well and safe everyone.

Biter cold here too Karen.

Good morning,

I had to drive in for blood work this morning. Was snowing most of the way and the ground covered 2 towns up, but nothing here for us.

I don't know how we kept power. Wind was up to 70 mph with gusts, and kept up until after midnight last night. Tractor trailers blowing over, they put up a State of Emergency and banned all trucks from the road until Midnight or so.

Sunshine is out, but it is very cold, in low 30s.

Stay safe everyone

Debbie I too was worried about winds, Lordy would have hated no power to pumps and end up with flood..knew I could call greg and he would start the generator but omg just realize I had no gas for it..note to self, make sure there is always gas for generator.

How are your tests going Debbie, are they starting to be able to better diagnose and provide you with drugs? How is Paul, back to work and in his regular schedipule?
Did you read earlier re Joyce and the girls coming end of May, if you can’t join us here then maybe you can meet us in Niagara Falls the day we visit, of course Canadian side..still sticking to my ‘shop Canada only’. Doing good with it.

Deb, if you do enter your dog and no other is in the show will you still gain points? Is the show a long distance from you? How is your daughter doing?

Rita and I sat and looked at planning our road trip, we had talked about flying to Las Vegas the California but we may travel to Ireland.

Glad your power didn’t go off for too long Dianne, bad enough dealing with the weather and having to deal with power outage as well.hate to hear you have all that wood to get ready for next winter, likely you somewhat enjoy it. bitter cold here this morning but the sun came out early and most of what fell has melted, other than the step, few inches thick of ice, shovelled it and added thaw salt.

I called Ed at fireplace and said I’d drive in dropping 2of my summer tires then bring other 2 with me tomorrow afternoon, lo and behold got all 4 in the car so don’t need to make the trip..I’ll just sit here, enjoy the day and continue to work on the sign..cooked roast beef dinner the other day so no need to cook, last of leftovers.
