Morning everyone. Beautiful day here. 75 already, supposed to be 90.
I love that fabric.
Still no word from DG admin. Pretty sad.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Here's my surprised look Linda, it's why so many left here.

I prefer your temps, ours are about half that.

Verona, ON

Good afternoon everyone..

Boy oh boy is it cold here today. The sun is trying to shine.

My horoscope said I should become a couch potato today and I think I will do exactly that. The TH are napping and I just might do the same.

Like Karen I too prefer your temps to mine.

The lane is very slippery in spots where there are trees blocking the sun.Needed to go back into the village as I forgot 2 things I needed at the IGA. yesterday. That will teach me not to gab with people while I shop. I have turned into 1 of those people we hated when I worked there. lol

LK I know of a couple of others who are waiting to hear from admin.

We had a visitor this morning. A beautiful chocolate lab puppy. She looks so much like my Quill. Chaos was over the moon to have a puppy to play with.

Stay safe, well and warm /'cool.
Dianne and her TH

Victoria Harbour, ON

Afternoon, sunny but cold

I went to Lois’s memorial, even said a few words? Just walked in, out of my Sunday clothing into nightly. Looking at clock, much to late to start something so I’ll cut out the paper pieces for solstice block 4,that is easy enough.

Sorry you haven’t heard from damn l8ndakaylindakay..did you do work for them ie exec. Monitor?? Perhaps it’s a bad week for them, do not despair..

You won’t fall in love with your visitor and Chaos talk you into keeping him.

Randy, Lois/Don’s caregiver is looking after their dog,he is 8,not sure but think they are trying to find a home for him, must ask what breed.

Verona, ON

No worries Betty about having the pup staying for good. There is someone new on the lane and let their dog and puppy run loose. Grrrr!! They'll soon learn the lay of the land on the lane. It's happened before .... people move in and think since they moved to sticks they can let their dogs run free.

Duke has been on a tear this weekend. I even looked to see if it was a full moon.He went after Diesel out of nowhere. I was sitting right there.I saw Duke's head snap.....sorta of like the Exorcist ..... just flew through the air. He got Diesel on the edge of the ear. There was blood everywhere. If a German Rotti pup who looked like Diesel comes my way I might not be able to say no.

Need to see what I can make for dinner.I had a small steak out but don't feel like it now. There's some chili in he fridge that will do he trick.

Any luck Karen with your place ?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear about Duke getting Chaos. Praying his ear heals quickly.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

We had some lookers today that our agent thinks are very interested so we shall see. I'm getting hopeful until we see an official on paper offer.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

good grief, Dianne - what was Up with Duke? Maybe it was a full moon........ hope Diesel's ear isn't badly hurt & he heals fast.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Afternoon, almost evening..

Sharon was here for the day, had a nice visit, she brought a dog quilt to work on and brought lunch..she has spine problems, by the time she left she could hardly stand pain, I came in second with mine, both of us combined wouldn’t make a good old soul..lol

Karen how exciting, perfect time for someone to buy with spring just around the corner, sending prayers it does.

Dianne, is it Duke who is on meds for calming him? Maybe he just woke and was startled..hopefully no infection for Chaos

Off to warm up Chinese, hot bath, feet up for rest of the evening!

Every time you mention having Chinese, I'm jealous, wish we had a place close by. Of course out here nothing is very close. We do have a good place in town, just don't get there very often.

I'd love to be hopeful but not putting myself there until we have a true offer. Our agent tends to be a little mary sunshine, so holding back on hoping.

Verona, ON

Karen I wish the same thing when Betty mentions Chinese. The closest place is in Kingston.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

We have a 1/2 hr drive to go to a town on either side of us, for any type of restaurant, other than the one in the hotel, or the convenience store/restaurant. Bob won't go to the convenience store restaurant after they burnt our pizza once and wouldn't do anything about it. It was inedible, and we threw it out. It was shortly after we moved here and it was a "treat" we gave ourselves even though we were short of funds, the end of December. Our belated Christmas present to ourselves. Oh well - they do have nice restaurants in town.

Verona, ON

Spring arrives at 12;15 pm today. Believe it or not.

I'm expecting more snow either late today or tomorrow.

We have 2 restaurants in the village. Both provide a meat and potato style food which is always tasty. They go on the wild side once in awhile have noodles with a red sauce.

Happy Spring Day everyone, sun is out celebrating but me thinks it’s a tad too soon to be doing happy dance, more snow somewhere in the offing...

Prayers to thisinjured in yet another school shooting..parents must be besides themselves.

Pat came over this morning, I did a piece on embroidery machine while she quilted, even did a list of embroidery threads so I don’t end up duplicating..indeed where I quilted on the wedding quilt I had to take off frame, out 2 hearts where Ziggy clawed rather than replace entire block of which I have no maroon to replace the entire inset sooo I’ve accomplished much..

Suzanne dropped in for a rad, she was wearing a germ mask, still not feeling the best..

hungering for a sub so ordered one from pizzeria, off to get it and perhaps an afternoon nap.

Ask Debbie, yummy chinese

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Happy 1st Day of Spring! Wish the snow would go away! It's sunny out, but a lot of snow, slush, and puddles.

Betty - another school shooting?????

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

In Maryland. Shooter was killed.

They also found the Austin bomber. He blew himself up.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all

Didn’t hear about the Austin bomber, I usually have cnn on first thing in the morning but got busy with housework and listened to a movie while working.

Susan, hope you are not any worse for your fall, maybe a good night sleep helped with healing.

Lindakay, are youback to being healthy?

Can’t believe kittie hair and dust that needs to be vacuumed and dusted each day..shaking my head.

Have a friend who said she might drop 8n today, think I’ll take a quick ride to foodland and get some muffins but first need to get dressed. Lol

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

I'm doing fine - a little twist on the inside of my knee, but it'll loosen up and I'll be ok.

How are You, Betty?

Lyndonville, NY

I have been known to drive 4 hours to Canada for Betty's Chinese restaurant. It is THAT good. Everything is fresh made and such flavor. Well worth the drive. We went to a little Great Wall diner here....NOT the same at all.

I m on my 3rd antibiotic and am able to sit at the computer right now. SO lets hope this kicks it to the curb.

I hope everyone feels better soon.

Linda, like you, I am fed up watching the news and all the tragedy.

Debbie

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

wow - it Must be good, Debbie!!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

😜 Debbie, not sure if it’s that good, hmmm next visit there I’ll have a meal for you...
Still not well, poor you..gets overwhelming doesn’t it.

I haven’t left the couch since rosemary left, took more meds but not helping at all..best I get up though, maybe quick hot bath, rub myself down with ointment and get ready for the girls

Re health, thing I wish we had is a pain thermometer so we could show just how much pain we are in..visually I look fine, inside I’m beyond coping..know many of you feeling same..hugs

This message was edited Mar 21, 2018 3:30 PM

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Aw Betty, I'd give you a hug but it would probably hurt you even more. Being in pain is so debilitating. It just wears you out. So frustrating to not be able to get any relief.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all, sunny with a high of 39..I’ll take it.

Aww felt that hug Karen..

Sitting in my Jammie’s, thinking of making a 2nd cup of coffee to wash down my delicious muffin then work myself downstairs, like to basecoat thebackground of l8nda’s sign, do a bit, might be good for me..

My niece opened a massage studio, geriatrics is their main focus so going to see her tomorrow, she thinks it might help a bit.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

That sounds wonderful, Betty!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

A good massage always feels good.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Evening coming, can feel it’s getting cooler inside, must mean time for a hot bath.
Not vert hungry, had poutine from pizza place for lunch, yummy, maybe a grilled cheese..going to make it in the toaster, try out that bag Aline gave me to do so, interested in seeing how it works.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Grrr was o the couch all day..played at putting corners on 4”blocks with pins..got up no more than 10 minutes ago, went downstairs and didn’t greg come to getmy quilter to bring in pot barrie for servicing..got told I don’t listen, rest is rest and here I’m working away when I should be on the couch resting..big sigh

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

lol Betty - your timing was off, cuz you WERE resting, he just never sees it.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Evening all, sunshine day but wind makes it so very cold..

How right you are Susan , if he saw how much time I spent on the chesterfield he would be calling me lazy. Lol

Got back from a.m. hour of masseuse, feels so nice..
As Michelle can’t work on family her associate worked on me, she did so much explain8ng if different things that I left and booked another appt for next week.

One of the things she suggested that I don’t do is the water for hydration, told her I can’t drink water so she told me to eat the water, picked up watermelon, melon, apples, celery, apple juice, watermelon juice, let’s see if that helps..the explaining of compression on nerves and being dehydratedputting more pressure on areas sounded plausible so a who refrigerator filled with water foods

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Why can't you drink water?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Suppose to be a sunshine day but cold

Going shopping this morning, in the meantime I’ll square off my blocks

Not that’s can’t Lindakay but when I was young and I spend almost a year hospitalized (in a 3 year period). They would force me to drink gallons upon galls, at the end I would take a sip and vomit..to this day I feel same, likely don’t drink 2cups a year soooo ifthis list of foods help then I’m in for it..she said my skin was lovely for my age, that was good news. Lol

Victoria Harbour, ON

Bet it’s a sunshine day in your neighborhood and you are all outside

Went shopping with the girls yesterday, picked up some limbs earlier, thought I might go out and have a fire tonight but will wait, but forgot the marshmallows 😪

Maybe I’ll have an early bath and not do too much lol

Must call the kids and see what is planned for easter

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Betty "for my age"...... don't you just HATE that term? We were discussing this at Crafting one day, and the consensus was that no one of the 70+ aged ladies like that term lol
Another one they don't like Dr's using is "at your age", as if they can't get certain treatment because they're "too old" and it would be hard on them. I've been told (pre-50 and pre-65) that I wasn't old enough for certain treatments/tests!! That's age-ism!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning everyone, suppose to hit 46 today, a glorious day for sure..

Off to see my doctor, appt 9:10, then a load to the dump, need to go have my glasses, arm broke off, I doubt canbe fixed, likely New frame then home and will spend a few hours outside picking more tree branches, might even start taking down the winter covering of back deck, always feels like winter is over then, even if we have a blizzard or two or three yet it won’t matter that it’s down, e cited about that..now let’s see by week’s end if I’ve got all done lol

What are you up to

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Same ole, same ole...trying to get a stock pile of QOVs. We had company on the weekend and will have more tomorrow. Then supposed to go downstate on the weekend. Always glad to get some time with Amelia and Lolli.

Victoria Harbour, ON

How are they doing Karen?
No news from realtor?

Went to doctor’s, got blood work done, picked up prescriptions and Kentucky fried chicken which was so yummy I ate it all lol

Feet now up, likely won’t be going to do outdoor work, wind is up so it’s really chilly, even Ziggy tells me he wants out only to want right back in.

Lyndonville, NY

Betty, what did the doctor say?

I am on 3rd antibiotic as I said before, 4 days left of it, and they are thinking allergies are involved with it....maybe from the dog. SO tossed allergy med in on top of everything else. I already get shots!!

I am so behind on cleaning....has been a month I have been ill, and no energy. Need to run the cleaner and do a quick dust at least....but soon as I do....OHHHH let me sit a minute. ZONK.

Went to Broadway market in Buffalo on Saturday, it was totally packed. Lots of food and goodies, the decorated eggs are beautiful. Did get some sugar free candy and DH got some goodies too. Then a quick run to Niagara Falls....but my heart wasn't in it, took a few shots and back home.

Stay warm and safe everyone
Debbie

Victoria Harbour, ON

Sorry to hear about your health issues Debbie, gets overwhelming doesn’t it. Lordy what would you do if it is dog allergies.is the Broadway market every Saturday?
Joyce changed visit dates to May 18 thru to May 24..keep those dates in mind..might take them on the Sunday to Niagara Falls, if you can’t come spend a few days them maybe a meet up in Niagara Falls, Canadian side?

Doctor still says it’s fibromyalgia, gave me meds but I’m fighting that diagnosis, was told that almost a decade ago, oh well, made an appt in a month, if meds aren’t helping we will do further testing..even talked about ‘weed’ lol...he went on about how works with 30% of his clients but many others complain of loss of memory...I don’t need to go there

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Hi ladies :-)

Poke my head in off and on, and, lnow many of you already know my 'NEWS' ..
DGD, Brooklyn is presenting us all with a GREAT GRAND baby on my bday, Oct.3
I am ACTING pleased and excited, but, inside am in such turmoil.
DGD never finished high school, lives at home (as does the bf live at his own home with parents) .. she 'kind of works' in retail, but, will no doubt be like her Mom for the pregnancy .. Alison thought she was the ONLY woman in the world to ever have had a baby .. she moaned and groaned, it was quite the show ..
I fear DS will be bringing up not only DGD, but, the baby as well ..

Betty, fibromyalgia is an auto immune disorder, and, it is so painful ... it got a bum wrap a few years back, but has been researched and found to be quite prevalent. Listen to the doc. I have been offered cannabis from mine, but, have yet to take the plunge .. keep thinking of the 'weed' we smoked in the 70s .. all I did was giggle, eat chips and go to sleep ~~

Karen, DH and I watched the QOV video on FBook, he so wants his bud in WI to have one, he was in the Korean War and is now 80+ and starting to get feeble. I told DH to tell Gary's daughters, but, doubt he did ..
Workin on it ..

Tomorrow is the final dental extractions for Lorna .. she has had 3 on the top out a week ago (OUCH) and now 3 on the bottom .. I have been injecting her with a blood thinner for 10 days now .. so, fingers crossed all goes well, the top plate has been good for her :-)

I hope everyone is well and has a super Easter ..

HUGS

~M~
