“M”always enjoy your dropping in..had to smile at ‘weed’ comment, it is cannibus he offered but I’ll try this Lycra..not familiar with it but worth a try..I’ll post a photo that most interested me re fibromyalgia, for many winters I’ve walked around in winter with it draped around my shoulders, not being able to wear a necklace..was kind of a eye opener..what do you take?
Am sure you are overwhelmed and havemixed emotions regarding the great grandchild..heartbreaking I’m sure under the circumstances..yep all you can do is look happy.
Best,Worse,What dis I learn today? Chat with friends old & new..all welcome!
Marilynne, anyone can nominate any veteran for a quilt. On line at QOVF.org. Once they are nominated, a message will be sent to the state coordinator, in this case in WI and they will contact a member in his area to make arrangements. They have to be given the name and email of a contact person (one or both of his daughters) so it can be set up.
Morning all, looks like a rain day..wish wash some of old winter away..
Have garbage to roadside, did breakfast and now heading downstairs, need a bit of cleanup before the girls get here.
Want to attach the later to the sewing machine to awe them lol
Everyone MIA
I be here!!
in a bit of pain on my left knee. Don't know what I did, but I get sharp pains on the inner part, and it feels like it's going to buckle, so I'm sitting........ and moving it gently.
I am here. At quilting group today
Hi Linda Kay - enjoy quilting!!
I can honestly say that this is the first day I’m pain free, have some soreness and sciatica still with me, both manageable
Hurrah. Hurrah
No pain is good.
Yep and part of it could be I didn’t wear a bra, the straps weren’t helping the pain
Girls just left, I’m tired as I put in a good day, sure hope tomorrow is the same.
No company this weekend, jeff is flying out tomorrow to Myrtle Beach to gold and Greg to Phoenix to visit with friends soooo no cook8ng, not that I was going to
Laughed to myself, won’t have to spend big $$$ on food so I’ll look fork something to spend same on for me..sounds like a plan right?
So glad you're feeling better Betty, no bra is wonderful, maybe switch to some soft knit sports bras they are comfy too.
How are you feeling Linda?
Morning everyone, rain day today but that is ok, only thing I need to do is groceries.
What are your plans for Easter weekend?
Only thing left to do in housework is was the floors then I’ll finish go finish the to I’ve been working on, that and groceries will fill my day.
Crud is gone, but still fighting spring allergies. Spring and fall is bad for me. I tried getting the allergy shots, but they made me worse. So I keep taking allegra or zyrtec and hope one of them work.

One thing I'm truly blessed with is no allergies, not a single one that we've found so far.
Same here Karen..
Must be overwhelming Linda Kay when those months/seasons start knowing what you will do through
Off to town
Betty - SO glad you're pain-free today! What a relief
LK - glad the crud's gone, but now...... do you want winter to stay, so allergy season doesn't hit? I'm sure you're tempted sometimes.
Nothing on the "burner" for Easter, other than going to church on Sunday. We went to town today, and I went before an Appeal Board. Back in Dec 2016 we'd asked for one time help, given that we had no funds to do what had to be done, re: building up our place to code for the County, having no $$ to our name to do it, not having a landing between our outside steps & the door (during which time I had my knee replacement), etc. I didn't expect anything more to happen now, as things have gotten much better for us, but I wanted closure, and to be heard so it doesn't happen to anyone else. The fellow I spoke to back in 2016 is no longer with the agency, and the lady who's there now was so apologetic, and said we should have gotten emergency assistance. We fell through the cracks, and when we tried, the fellow denied us. I tried to find someone higher up, but he was IT - first, middle & last....... no one else to talk to. I told them today that this was not right - we should have had someone else to talk to about our situation. They agreed. Finally - closure, and my voice heard. It felt good.
Morning all,
Going to be sunny for a Good Friday..
Mom is going for 3hr at her Church for prayers then coming up, she will go to her brothers tomorrow for easter eats and is trying to get aunt Muriel to join her.
Susan, sometimes that is all one wants, to be heard. Kudos for you for doing so, perhaps the agency won’t let another pass through the crack.
Absolutely no plans for the weekend, will go to Barrie tomorrow though, got a call that my Quilter has been serviced and ready for pick up..might take Melanie for lunch at the Mandarin, we will see.
Hope you are doing something more exciting than i
Glad to hear you got to speak your mind Susan.
Trying one more time to see my Dr. I had an appointment yesterday to get my pain meds refilled. Only to be told, the doc is not here today, come back tomorrow. So today is probably another sit for 4 to 6 hours and wait.
Waiting to get our car back, then heading downstate to spend the week-end with family. I so miss those girls.
Well that is the pitz LindaKay, if you had appt they should have called you! How annoying..
Karen, enjoy the visit..this will be my first easter without family..greg just dropped in, brought tulips amd he is on his way to the airport, I thought he left yesterday but nope, today.
I put a small turkey on this morning, cut up my turnip, thought mom iPad I could have turkey dinner tonight but I called her and she saypid she would go directly to her brothers tmr, soooo turkey turkey for me.
Called Melanie as we had talked about going out for supper, she is on a diet, decided that today she would do major purg8ng then tomorrow go to dump and Salvation Army so said we would go another time..she asked me to go to her mom’s Sunday but I said no, I was fine with puttering around here..I’m ok with that kind of weekend.
Mom just came, said she didn’t think I wanted her to come seeing is every day I had a different story to tell her..right, I thought all the kids were coming, then I found out jeff was going somewhere with friends golfing, then I said I was taking Greg and Mel out for supper tmr, well turns out a friend of Greg’s made plans for several guys to go to Phoenix Arizona..he just got back from Newfoundland so said no, then he got a call, the guys got the tickets so he was going, Mel wanted to save hipper vacation time for the summer when she can use her trailer..then I said Mel and I would go shopping tomorrow, that didn’t pan out, then mel’s Mom called to invite me to her house Sunday as Mel will be there so long story short things change lol
So I told her to call aunt Muriel, she is about a 10 minute drive from here, I said I’d drive her home soooo that is where she is and I’m putting last minute touches for supper..just did salad, potatoes and turnip cooking..am sure I’m for getting something
MOMS😜
Happy Easter everyone.
Chilly gray day here.
Hoping your day is everything that you want it to be.

Morning all, same weather as Dianne..no snow so I’ll take it!
Happy Easter to all of you..
Here I thought I’d be the first to wish everyone Happy Birthday but “M” and Dianne beat me to it.
Alone today and I’m feeling So much better, almost my old self, energy galore so I will go downstairs after my coffee and organize then maybe work on a project..
Happy Easter to everyone!
Amust be day for visitors, Rita just called, coming over for a visit
Had just layer on couch for a quick nap, best I get up lol
How are you all doing
Morning all..bitter cold here and a dusting of snow..next few weeks shows much the same but warmer weather is coming!
Are your tummies filled with good meals and easter treats?
Was a very quiet weekend for me but I do enjoyed it..had cipompany yesterday throughout the day..
Joanne first thing in the morning, the Pat and Rita late afternoon, had planned to check out my quilting machine to see how it works since servicing but time with friends so much better.
I dipped into my jar and picked out from to do to’sI had written on paper thatmy today chore was cleaning the stove, yuk, but with spray 9 and just wiping down I have a what looks like a brand new stove..
Yesterday was inside windows, got that done, Saturday was all the mirrors, not sure what tomorrow will bring lol
Some of you remember Joyce (Joycet) well she and 2 friends, now my friends are coming for a visit in May, Sherry had sent me photo’s of her home, breathtaking, all primitive, well she had on display a turkey on a platter..we talked about her bringing it when she comes so I could try to duplicate but lo amd behold didn’t I find it, bought it this morning, sure wish I had muslin...😜
Beautiful turkey.
Morning everyone, calling for rain later turning into freezing rain, glad I don’t have anywhere to be..
Quiet sewing morning, Pat leaving for Myrtle Beach for 3 weeks, June called, she is at the start of the flu, no word from Aline, should have called her and cancelled but didn’t.
Picked my chore for the day, get to clean the cupboard in the living room, time to pure or simply just re arrange lol, not too time consuming.
Lordy it feels good to have energy to do something!!!
My goal for today is get the background trees in on linda’s sign and get the house sketched in, see if I can find a fabric comparable with the design I put in the quilt I just made and get borders on, not sure I have the fabric, if not I’ll put that wedding quilt back on..
If I get that done I’ll be a happy camper.
This Saturday, Paul my nephew will be chainsawing at his cousins Maple Syrop Camp, I plan to go then go visit with Joanne for a bit, I’m a bad friend, not one to visit so I promised..will also look around for things I can get to the dump and make a run as I’ll be right near it.
Well, best go tidy up a bit before Aline arrives..
Enjoy your day!
Sounds like your new meds are working for you.
So good to hear you feeling better Betty.
It’s a miracle drug for me, other perhaps don’t get relief from it by so far no side effects, taking m8 I always dose and I’m doing happy dance.
Girls didn’t leave until 2:00, Aline finished her train throw for her nephew and was pleased with her day.
Ate lunch, out a roast on and did my ‘to do’ was an easy one today, took but minutes .. ended up with a grocery bag for garbage
Almost tempted with what tomorrow’s ‘to do’ will be but won’t. Lol
Spoke with Linda this morning, had her go to Factory Direct, they had a radio/CD and cassette player on sale, am sure my stereo was good enough but sometimes you have to play with it so off to Salvation Army it goes. She want to come and do a bag next week so will drop it off then.
Need tatters for supper, few minutes rest then off to foodland, need potatoes for supper, might as well include a stop to the post office as I ordered a program for my embroidery machine from Accuquilt, wouldn’t was them to send it back.
Yet another shooting..when will it end!
Female shooter, she is dead..that is rare
Betty - so very glad your new meds are helping. Very nice to have energy again :-)
How wonderful that Cookie is coming with 2 friends, next month. It will be time before you know it!
Yesterday I heard from a friend that WalMart was having a huge yarn sale in Calgary. Well, not going to drive 1 hr each way, so called the town next to us and asked........ yes, they have sale, no more blanket wool though. I went anyway, and while they didn't have Bernat blanket wool on sale, they did have Chenille's Luv on sale - $2.50 for a 50m ball. I got 3 of "New Red" and 3 of Navy. Making a prayer shawl for our church. The cashout clerk told us that a lady bought 2 cartfuls of yarn - $700 worth! Yikes! No wonder the shelves were almost bare........
WalMart's doing some renos & are clearing a lot out of their Craft dept, to make room for the renos. A lot of yarn won't be sold anymore, but there will be some.
Reminds me of when they got rid of the fabric cutting tables, and a lot of their fabric.......
Morning all, had snow overnight, enough that the plot had to come..ok thought as we know spring has taken over so will be short lived.
Sure hope I haven’t bragged about lyrica too much, woke up in the night, dizzy as can be, this morning same..maybe instead of taking one in a.m. and one in pm I’ll just take one at night, I’ll try both today and see if it’s a random thing.
Picked my to do from jar this morning, easy one so I’ll get it done and just take it easy today..girls come tonight!
Yes Susan it was really disappointing when Walmart got out of their fabric Dept..wouldn’t be nice if wool left also.
Near a blizzard here. We have 10" and still falling.
Betty it might take a while for the Lyrica to work properly.
Ziggy seems to have really settled into your crafting ventures, Betty - GOOD!
I'm finishing up a Prayer Shawl. Our church has started this ministry, and I'm happy about it :-)
