Although they are calling for snow today it’s bright but cold..each day we get closer to spring (and our gardens) lol

Lyndonville, NY

We are due to get 7 to 12 inches snow depending how the wind blows.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

WOW! Sure hope spring arrives soon for you.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

We have a Snowfall Warning - 10 to 20 cm of snow, starting at the West of our province, moving East. We're pretty much in the East anyway, so likely coming tonight.
Bob got our friend Carol safely to the airport. She's gone to Cuba until May 24th, so we'll keep an eye on her place.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Debbie that is a lot of snow, watching weather channel, says it will hit Toronto at it’s worse, here is hoping itmdoesnt move north. Looks like we Canadians will lol get some, does that mean in like a lion out like a lamb?

Marlene just left, got her organized, fabric cut and now resting before heading to town.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

our 10-20 cm has been upgraded to "up to 30cm"
That's 4 to 12 inches. Hope it bypasses us.....
I'm thinking we're coming in like a lion

Morning all, sunshine day here, cold 31with a high of 34..

Thank you all again for birthday wishes, means a lot to me..

It was a day of talk, tal, talk, many callers with well wishes. I did spend the day alone and hip paining so got comfy in bed around 5, did sleep till well after 10 but was able to get pain under control. Besides the pain had another issue that took the wind out of my sails, Ann called to say she was picking up Chinese after her appo8ntment with specialist, she needed to be in Barrie for update on her tests that were being ripen, she hasn’t been feeling tip top sir nearly a year and they’ve been looking for what is the problem, well after her appointment she called and said she wouldn’t be coming over, they found something on her lungs..was was feelingbadly so would come over..about 7i called her, phone rang and rang then she answered, knew she needed time on her own to digest things, we chatted, let her know I’m here so felt a tad better after that but am worried about her.

Just finishing my coffee and the boys will be here for the day and out for supper this evening, I will try my best to just have them order something in rather than go out.

Know I will enjoy the day, all those little things that say ‘I need fixing’ will be done, oh happy days.

Glad pat that Ben could manage if need be to get into the vehicle, surprised you but likely surprised him as well.

Did get flowers and USA $$$ for Joanne’s and more to come today. Lol

Sorry to hear about Ann. Keeping her in our prayers.

Boys are still working while Mel and I chat..shouldn’t be too much l9nger..problem with kitchen light, not just plug, they went and bought a new ballast to try, if not guess I will buy new fixture, don’t want to because it has stained glass 8nsert panel..while in town jeff bought a wall mount for bedroom tv, says I’ll like it better..

Found one more thing I’d like done, they say not on the list no go, jockingly of course, where the quilting frame has runners, one area is bout 1/16th of an inch off, just enough to cause a glitch in moving the frame..I wrote it in small small writing and said it was on there they just didn’t see it

Victoria Harbour, ON

Boys ordered in Chinese, Kyle and Brianna dropped in
More pretty flowers and gifts
To do list + done
Lots of laughs
Love these kinds of birthdays but they sure tire you out..

off to bed I go

Glad to hear you had a great birthday!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Happy for your good day, Betty :-)

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all, sunshine day in my neighborhood, cold though, 14F with a high of 32F ..

Yes, I did have the best of birthdays, boys know me, I’ve already started my ‘to do’ list for Mother’s Day..

.replace motion light in front
.power wash house

Am sure as the snow is gone I’ll think of many things I’d like done. Lol

Finishing my coffee, will dust and wash the upper floors then head downstairs, think I’ll take that wedding quilt off the frame and fix the block Ziggy clawed, I won’t be happy adding hearts to the block Ziggy clawed.

What are you all up to today?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Taking it easy today. Still have the crud.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Hoped you would feel better by now..

Drats spoke to the girls re joanns, we’ve decided that with steel issues best shop Canadian, look after our own economy even if it costs us a bit so we will go on a weekend trip not far from where we cross the border there are quite a few fabric shops in the area and spend out $$$..so guess I will take USA funds to bank tomorrow and have them converted to canadian..big sigh

All feel very no offence, just going with my travel buds

Here is where we are going..such a pretty area

will bbl - heading off to church with the neighbour (Linda) who just lost her DH in January

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all,

Just hate it when you get a call early morning, you just know it won’t be good news...

My friend Lois, the couple who I do monthly suppers with and who is hospitalized that I visited on thursday got her results back. She was sent to Barrie Friday for special testing, result is crushedvertebrae in her neck, no repair at her age of 91so papers have been signed for assisted death, takes no time to have signed by doctors and judge..tummy just churning, she is such a dear..

Hard to believe both she and herhuvpbby were doing so well, he in a home since Christmas with Alzheimer’s and now Lois!

Will go in this morning..

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

So sorry to hear that Betty. Sending prayers.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Sorry to hear about your friend Lois, Betty. Assisted Death is something that we wouldn't have thought of, but now it's an easier thing to contemplate, eh? Poor dear.

Got a message the other day that a friend of ours passed away on Wed. They're hoping to have the service on Friday, but don't think we'll be going - it's in Calgary.

Today I'm starting on a 4 yo project - a banner for our church. It was intended for Renfrew, but we've moved, so now all the paper pieces I have will make this one. It's based on this picture, and there are 20 pieces, besides the dove.
I had to iron all the brown paper, because it was clipped together in a drawer and slightly the worse for wear. Not sure if I'll use binding, or will embroider the lines on the dove, but it's one piece.

Hello
We finally got a new computer and DH is back to work.
We had a serious break and then bam, business picked up, whew...
I had to refrain from computer stuff to conserve what little life it had and I just couldn't deal with my cell phone, it's too small, and I had to change my password on DG...did and promptly lost password again and just came across it in a blank book on a piece of paper, lol...the book is no longer blank!

I did go on FB to wish you a Happy Birthday Betty.
Looks like you had a wonderful day, well in case you missed it Happy belated
...My gosh 10 years, that was the last best project I did from work, lol keeping it secret was really hard but we had so much fun! LOL, I remember the anticipation of you finding your package, all the while the rest of us were typing away!
Oh, so smiling at the twins they certainly are beautiful. Funny I actually just found a
photo of them when they were so tiny. oh my goodness, prayers for Anne, I am so very sorry about the news.
Also I am sadden for your Dear Friend.
And for Ziggy...yikes hope you can cover up the area he "accidently" tore up, sigh reminds me of when Flo chewed Julia's veil, lol.

Betty, what a beautiful Dream you had.
the other day, I was lying down trying to nap, mind wandered off when all of the sudden an owl, huge flew into my vision, and the first person I thought of was Barbara. I am going to miss her wisdom for sure.

Thank you Linda Kay for notifying me about Barbara.
Dianne, Thank you for keeping in touch with Norm and all of us.
I was smiling away as I read that You and Barbara had such a wonderful conversations, and I could just hear her laughter...
My most happiest moment is when when we met in person, Norm was pulling into the drive way and Barbara, Barbara was waving and smiling ear to ear, reflecting my own happiness...the minute she was out we literally flew into each others arms. What an Armwrap.

Oh hey, I'll be back, Im sure you can hear my hunger rumble, lol

Welcome back Judy. We missed you.

Hard to believe she is 7 months already.

Verona, ON

So good to see you posting Judy.

LK are you feeling better ?

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Welcome back, Judy!! Have missed you.........

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

One day I fell a little better, the next day so tired and back in bed.

Verona, ON

Ah Linda this has been hanging on for so long. Sure hope you get your strength back soon.

Susan how is your knee today ? That was always my worst fear that I would fall and hit that knee.

Still snowing although it is a fluffy snow. We will need the lane plowed tonight. Well Dave usually comes about 3 am. My 3 alarm clocks or danger warning go off and won't settle back down for a hour or so.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Guess I was lost for a while so been catching up. Judy so good to see you and your little love, she's growing so fast.

Linda sure hoping you will be feeling better soon, just hate when these things hang on and on.

So Sorry to hear about Ann.

Getting a lot of sewing done...well actually doing a lot of cutting and a bit of sewing. Blocks made for two QOV's and pieces cut for 4 more. I'll be sending some to DGD to sew together. Sure do love my die cutter makes all the difference in the world in my quilts.
On another med for diabetes, means a daily shot but the needle is only 1/4" so barely feel it. It's making a good difference in my glucose readings. So far no side effects so it's a good thing.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Thanks for asking, Dianne - my knee's still stiff, but doing well otherwise.
Today we went 5-pin bowling, and I bowled 132, 190 & 175 - Very happy with that. Seems like my game has returned. It's been 4 years, because of my knees, so they're really on the mend. They'll continue to be stiff for awhile yet, I expect. Some of it is because of the fall, but mostly it's just because it's still healing from my surgery 5 months ago.

Verona, ON

It's finally stopped snowing. It is perfect for snowballs and making a snow person. It is stunning out there. Picture perfect..

Judy our Barb is not too far away from us. I treasure her friendship. Today when I went to the village I wore the vest and mitts that she and Norm sent in my Santa Warren box. I swear she helped me get into that vest.Haven't been able to colour yet but I do have a page open in her colouring book that I will start this weekend.

That's 1 sweet grandbaby you have. Not going to be spoiled at all...lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Anyone heard from Betty? She has not posted in several days.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Good grief - it Has been that long......... Where's our Betty?
Hopefully she's just been busy visiting ill friends & those grieving, and is alright herself (not that it's good that she has ill or grieving friends, of course.........)

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

Just stopping by to see if Betty has shown up. Hoping she's just busy.
